The proposition calls for all porn production companies to notify a new bureaucracy whenever they start a production so that the bureau can send an inspector* to the site. Failure to do so will result in serious penalties.
Because this was a ballot proposition and not a city ordinance, it cannot be ignored, but if they choose to, the producers can take the proposition through a court process which will delay implementation at worst, and possibly cause the law to be thrown out..
My guess is that the serious economic consequences to the City will result in a future proposition reversing this one. Soon. (The porn industry is located in the San Fernando Valley which is part of the City of LA. There are small towns and unincorporated areas that are not part of the proposition spotted throughout the city but none of them are near Chatsworth or Canoga Park where most of the big producers are located.
* This would be my kinda job!

About 10 years ago a local (in the west San Fernando Valley area) porn video store had a "event" with a porn star (don't remember who but it was a well known one) who was there to chat and sign her VHS tapes.
It was really a nothing event because no one had much to say and there was nothing to autograph unless you bought some of her tapes.
As I recall she wore a nice dress that emphasized her boobs but she was totally G-rated.
I find that the local "gentlemen's clubs" are much more interesting because a few of the babes in the business show their stuff as guest performers. Some (not many) will even do lap dances.

I answered YES.
I like to check just to see whether the reviewer tends to be generous or stingy with points. If I see a score of 90 or more and the review is OK but not glowing, it makes it easier to understand the rating.
PU is a totally great site. Frankly it has steered me to some truly superb sites that I would never have found and away from sites with deceptively good preview sites.
The best part is the very high quality of participation in the discussions by fellow members who are both articulate and are also into high quality erotica (the PC way of describing porn).
That's why, as my primary resource, I tend to use every feature of PU.

Having been burned badly by unkept promises by 21st Sextury, I no longer trust anything offered unless the long term price is far better than a monthly price.
That said, I have been a member of VideoBox since 2005 and renew with annual memberships. Yes I have some issues with the site but at $7 per month and at least 5 updates a day (that's 4.6 cents per full title), it's really hard to go wrong.

I find it easier to remember picking my own.
But the real issue is the sloppiness of the process when a site issues its own password. My experience is that about 50% of the time the assigned password will not work resulting in trying to get a valid password from the site.

Absopositively good value! In the last decade I'd rent videos at a 3 fer price of $7.00 and copy off the good stuff using two VCR's. (Most porn videos had no copy protection back then.)
But many of the rented videos were "crap shoots" because the only clue I had about the quality of the content was the box and the reputation of the producer/director. I would guess that 50% of the stuff I rented was returned without any copying at all because it was really crap.
Now, I not only get a whole lot more content, I also have the ability to preview everything before downloading. Better yet, my 2Tb external drive is a whole lot better than a closet full of copied over videos that are a real pain in the butt to find the "good stuff."
