Great review. Very detailed and thorough.
I have a question about the site's content. When I visit the preview pages, I see some girls with "[ANAL]" attached to their name. Obviously that means it is an anal scene. My two questions are: are all anal scenes marked this way or do some lack the tag? Also, how many anal scenes are there?

You raise some very interesting points about the site. I only recently heard of this addition to Kink.com and I had the same questions about legality of shooting in public. Finding out that they shoot in E. Europe helps some, but the lack of control over the environment, while the main part of the attraction, also makes me nervous about the site.
I hope that somebody associated with the site will address your concerns.

Exactly what Drooler said.
Another example is Exclusive Content. TBP only checks that the site advertises 100% exclusive content, but never checks it out. I have been to a lot of sites that TBP said was 100% exclusive only to find out that the site is full of ripped DVDs found on VideoBox or other sites.
Also, most sites are posting updates, so the number of movies or photos changes from the time the site was reviewed until I read it. I wonder if those statistics are kept up to date.

Alright, so that VHS example was pretty hot. There is similar stuff on FTV Girls, especially the older, "more extreme" girls. The ones I remember off-hand include bocce balls, and the shifter on a Ford Mustang (she squatted over the center console). Not sure where the other sites were listed. I just visited the site and it seems that they have revamped. The home page now lists 12 exclusive sites, not the 40+ sites that they advertised before.

I guess we will get to see if the porn industry is recession-proof. I still view it as a discretionary expense, so I see the downturn as affecting different parts of the industry in different ways.
Will studios or other original producers have to cut back on either production count or quality? Or will the big studios get bigger and really dominate the industry?
Will there be pay cuts for performers? (I don't think there is the porn equivalent to a SAG that has a minimum scale wage.)
Will retail or other B2C (including websites) have to cut prices or offer discounts to keep revenues? Are there any websites or retailers that are financially secure enough that they can't fail?
Will distributors get pinched as margins shrink at both ends of their channels?
I haven't even considered the novelty makers.
There is one group that I think will be fine: niche markets. Does anyone really see the BDSM/leather crowd changing with the economy? Me neither.

This network had a lot of potential when I joined. There was a large selection of sites (53) with different themes, although most could be grouped into anal sex, facials, and lesbian sex. The price was right at $29.95 for all sites access. However, I was disappointed when I finally got to the member's section and realized that most of the videos on the site would have to be downloaded in parts.
After combing through all of the network sites, I have found the following to have full movie downloads as of 11/12/08: Anal Cum Junkies (1), Anal Lick Fest (2), Cat Fight Gang Bang (all 30+), Fucked Up Facials (3), Its Facials (all 10), and No Cum Dodging Allowed (all 9 since 7/18/08). Out of 53 sites, only 6 had any full movie downloads at all. Also, many sites have been simply abandoned, including Double Dip'Er, Creamed Cornholes, and Riot Whores, which haven't been updated since 2006.
Some other things of note: navigation is very slow, even on a 20mbps down cable connection; despite slow navigation, download speeds were reasonable; many movies appear to be DVD rips from a similar DVD series, such as Hellfire Sex.
Overall, I came away disappointed by this network. I'm glad that I didn't pay $29.95 for any of the individual sites as that would have been a waste of money. For the entire network, I think it is a reasonable price. But know what you're getting first. |

I would have liked to pick most of the peeves. Misleading advertising is rampant, but often coincides with lack of promised updates. A poorly designed site is usually also indicative of poor webmasters or slow servers. So, why not have an all of the above?

Thanks for the very interesting update. I really enjoyed Heather's site and was a member years ago. I wouldn't care about her gaining some weight since I thought she was really thin before, but I can definitely understand that having to chase around a child would make it harder to shoot porn. I completely agree with #2. I forgot that FTV doesn't have full vid downloads, either.
I hadn't really thought of #3, but I can see how that would be really annoying. It also smells of being cheap since the can advertise long movies when it's really the same thing for big chunks at a time.
