james4096 (126) Anal is something I like to see in porn, but never in real life. Things can go wrong, and I don't like surprises.

Whatever. What we see in porn is probably not how things are in real life. I don't know, I could be wrong. They make it look so easy and clean in professional porn videos.

I'd imagine that about 1/2 of all people have at least tried it, but not me.

Lionheart (47) I tried it once, not really my thing.

Drooler (220) "Tried," in a sense. I guess I'm not always the most spatially coordinated guy on the planet. Besides, it was pitch dark. My girl was fortunately in a good mood (certainly not always the case!) and just laughed about it.

So I had an accidental experience. I was thinking, "Jesus. What the hell happened?" So I don't get the appeal of anal. In porn, it's basically a stupid gimmick.

But I did know a guy whose girlfriend wanted anal and who told his confidants, me among them, about it. He wasn't sure what to do. He said, "I don't want shit on my dick!" I can't remember how the whole thing got resolved. Well, eventually, they broke up anyway.

Denner (235) A couple of times when I was younger - but no big deal - and today I'm not interested - in real life OR porn...

Jay G (67) Anal sex must be done a little more carefully than vaginal sex, but has its rewards. Sexuality includes so many desires that are like my early experience with coffee...a bit bitter at first, but one comes to like it a lot with use.

turboshaft (24) REPLY TO #6 - Jay G :

I can't say I like coffee, but sex on the other hand...

Of course, porn and coffee (such as Starbucks) always seem to be doing good business, so I think people get over any initial bad tastes rather quickly.

By the way, where's the choice for tried it and enjoyed it, but am now single, so not currently doing it?

messmer (137) Once again a poll that needs one more option: just a plain "no." I don't find it particularly disgusting or appealing, the subject would never came up with my partner, she's not into porn and therefore thinks that an anus was provided for a different purpose, I have never wanted to do it .. because to me it's an asexual orifice. :-) So a vote of plain no!

Torn4do (13) I'm pretty neutral when it comes to it. So far I've never come across with a partner who was really eager to try it, and I never forced it. I won't be against at least trying it once I find a willing candidate. :)

badandy400 (103) I have done it several times but not in a while now. It does does feel a little different, but I would not say better or worse though. It seems that girls really do not get much out of it so I do not see much need for it. It can be fun though, but only in the sense it is different and "dirty" so long as it does not get literally dirty.

PinkPanther (46) It's funny - this really tiny girl that I get together with sometimes wants to try anal with me - I must admit I get a mixed message - on the upside - "I trust you enough to try something with and to make sure that it's not too painful." - on the downside - "I don't think it will hurt too much before your dick isn't very big." lol

turboshaft (24) REPLY TO #11 - PinkPanther :

She trusts you enough to make sure it's not too painful and then makes a casual comment that hurts guys, and our precious egos, everywhere. Ouch!

GCode (101) I have not actually tried anal sex in my relationships. I have, however, accidentally stuck it in the anus during sex in a drunken sloppy sexcapade and got the classic 'dolphin' noise from my partner when it happened. I can't say she enjoyed it at all, maybe because it was such a surprise? :) So, I put I have but my partner did not enjoy it. As for since, it's something I think I'll let my partner bring up, I'm happy with getting head and having good ol' plain vaginal sex.
