Capn (28) For me it is to live out a fantasy.

I am comfortable with that too.

Jay G (65) I have a good sex life....but can also have a fantasy one with porn. In the real world harems are hard to get and are tremendously hard work.

jberryl69 (Disabled) Not so much the first one (Bored) but could be any or all of the last four plus Other (my vote).

Thinking about myself, "no sex life" applies and porn helps my masturbation process. At my age, I can't remember the sex I had, so there is no recalling memories that will do it. If I could recall what my last sexual partner looked like, I'm not sure it would necessarily do it for me. Much better placing myself in the scene with a 19 - 35 year old.

I do recall some of my sex "acts" like rimming a girl friend and liking, almost to the exclusion of vaginal sex (never really did anal sex except with a finger or object), oral sex (both giving and receiving). So maybe not "by nature" but I'll cop to the perverted part.

The hobby part has come about from the vast collection of porn and trying to whittle it down into a viewing collection of about 100 scenes, edited for content.

While "harem" has at times been a fantasy of mine, I think the one area you failed to address would be the financial one, though some Mormon extremists seem to be able to make it work.

lk2fireone (194) There's probably some psychological term that better fits than "fantasy", but that's probably the closest choice for most mes, I think.

If you watch a movie, or read a fictional book, is that a fantasy?

Or is there a better way to describe it?

messmer (137) I actually don't have any fantasies when it comes to porn. For me it is simply a pure pleasure to see a multitude of attractive and even not so attractive women get undressed and do some naughty things in front of a camera.. something that real life would not permit .

Ik2fireone asks "If you watch a movie, or read a fictional book, is that a fantasy?"

Certainly non-fiction might not be fantasy, though they could lead to fantasy day dreaming. To answer your question, the fictional book or just about any movie is fiction by definition so yeah they are. Even if it's based on one's experience or "true" events. Especially movie adaption of books.

luv lickn clit (21) For me it is fantasy, although it has grown into a hobby as well. The word "perverted" in option 5 has an unnecessary negative tone for me. I would say instead by nature men love seeing beautiful naked women.

graymane (31) Its all about fantasy.
Relationships and my married lives never diminished or interfered with my strong attachment to use this medium to the fullest.
My memories, past and present, as well as the internet cornucopia of an endless parade of babes that continues to feed any fantasy to which I want to draw from, to my good fortune is only a thought away or a stroke on my keyboard.
They don't talk back and unfailingly do as I wish.

Hi LLC, I placed perverted not to offend anyone, but to cover all views people have. Some people like perversions and enjoy that perspective on many things not just porn. So is why I added it. Apologies if it offended you the intent of the poll was to cover a wide range.

Do not have as much a fantasy view as hobby, why this hobby has a problem is that staying focused on the hobby part can be hard ( no pun intended ) when there are so many tantalizing women. Like most sorting and downloading most likely gets interrupted. So why I see it as a fun hobby. The fantasy part does take place. Weekly I may do my hobby, but only time to time fantasize about it.

Denner (233) Really, none of the above - closest is men are perverted - but then again: is watching porn a perversion...nada. Life is erotica and sex, too - and watching great looking girls/women is part of life.....almost like: don't you take an extra look when spotting a good looking girl/woman in the street - it's a natural............And with porn/erotics you get to see a little more. Love it!

The financial truth: in the real world ONE woman can be too expensive.....as the old saying goes, "In my youth I spent my money on liquor and women and the rest I just wasted"

Maybe the harem idea is that you put them all to work and they have to learn to share. That kinda negates the 1 woman syndrome we suffer from.

taken4granted (0) I'd have to go with other. I mean lets face it, getting laid, relationships, small talk, cutting through all the bullshit can be quite time consuming.
Then you have to look past everyone's faults, including your own. Porn on the other hand removes all of that and you have a view of every single part of her/him, the looks of ecstasy, passion, the entire package. Besides, who knows how to make you feel better than yourself? You skip right past, bad breath, STD's, bad attitudes and the dreaded afterwards. Men are visual people and porn is as visual as you can get.Im not saying it should be a full replacement, but this is the stuff that makes porn so attractive.Finding a partner that will fulfill your desires is tough, let alone someone who can actually play the part is even more difficult. I think that sums it up for me.

otoh (54) I said Other because for me it's been, at various points, all of the options. Currently my favourite reason is to share and be inspired by some of the scenes.

Cybertoad, it is very hard to offend me, and you didn't. My point was that I don't have negative views about porn and nudity and sex, but many people do, and I find that discouraging. For men, it is very natural to enjoy seeing beautiful naked women.

Hah! - Well I didn't win Sat's Powerball drawing for $590.5 M so I missed that opportunity to be wealthy and since I don't believe in magic underpants, being a Mormon is out too.

At least I can say I've had some threesomes during my life but I had no financial obligations to those women.

Would "whoremonger" be a more appropriate word rather than "perverted"?
Perverted draws up images of guys in trench coats at those adult theaters I went to in Denver in the 80s.
