Pricing/New Interfaces

The PU price for the full network is still $29.95 despite what is posted on the PU home page for the site. So after being bounced from the site because my credit card expired last June I just now decided to sign up again.

They have made several changes in the site and navigation aspects so it'll take a bit to get familiar with it again. I'll write a supplement to Rusty's review once I'm back in the groove, but so far I'm not liking the changes.

In any case, if you are thinking about joining, you might want to sign up before the price goes up from $30 to the PU/TBP price of $45.

tangub (151) I only wish I could sign up for $30 but with their prices being in euros my end it always works out a lot more expensive. I've had DDF sites bookmarked as a possible join for about 7 years now but i'm afraid with their euro prices I always find something else better value for money to join, factor in their unfamiliar billing processor with pre checked cross sells and they have no chance of getting a membership out of me. If it was $30 through CCBill or Epoch with no regional pricing I would sign up tomorrow.

Denner (233) Thanks for this info/update here, Monahan...

And I guess, if they really go for that $45 instead of the now $30 - they can probably count me out - hope they realize there are others in that same league...at the price of the $30 and less...

And than again: What says TBP? - any news of a radical more expensive DDF?????

pat362 (371) DDF lost me as a possible member a long time ago. I visit maybe once a month to see if they have added anything that might interest me and I haven't seen anything that I can't get elsewhere for a lot less. Their glory days are far behind them now. If they go the route of the 54$ then I feel pretty comfortable in saying that it won't be long until they go out of business. The economy is still in major trouble and people can't afford to spend 3 times the amount on this network that they spend elsewhere.

New customers are great for sites but repeat business is where you make your money. A newbie joining for the first time should get his money's worth at 54$ but how many returning members will want to pay that price?

All I've been told is that the regional pricing special is 29.95 euros rather than their regular 44.95 euros.

Sorry I couldn't help more.

Cybertoad (104) Like the others I too had thought about the site, but just to deep
into my pockets to ever justify that expense for now.

I'm with you, so far. I've tooled around the site for a few hours and while the content is stunning as before, the new site format is not easy to navigate and worse, the download process is inefficient.

At a reasonable price, like, say, $19.95 or $24.95, I'd probably stay on board as a member. At $29.95 it's too expensive. The regional Euro price is really inappropriate.

In comparison, I am a long time member of 21Sextury, which I consider equal to DDF in content quality and better than DDF is variety and will stay a long term member with their very reasonable pricing structure.

DDF will eventually discover how much money they are leaving on the table by charging prices that are far higher than their competition and by not creating a basic loyalty to their product.

I'll probably cancel my membership before the auto-renewal kicks in in 29 days.

I think that a membership to 21sextury and teen mega world would more than surpasses anything you'd get out of DDF. Which is too bad because I used to be a huge fan of Hands on Hardcore. Mind you that was many years ago. I knew it was over the day that scenes started disapearing from one site and reapearing as new updates on another site.

Ah well it was good while it lasted and may one day get good again.
