Sorry old chap if I was a bit direct, but I felt what you said was way off the mark!
Well one thing I'm completely in agreement with you (and it's something I raise on the N&H forum) slow strips - any set that goes to the pussy quick, or for that matter doesn't at least tease I find a bit too direct. Though of course not all sets can be classics, the day of the shoot the model may be off or several other factors going on.
Anyway, let’s not get sidetracked on this.
I still don’t see where you’re coming from with the hairy legs (I’m not a fan either but I guess it is natural  - there has been an increase of late – and this has tended to be returning models’ – but not so much as to take over the content as you suggest.
Jennifer for example (if you’ve looked in recently) is simply gorgeous, Sadie Mathews (returning model) Sophia Delane, Amber Lustfull, Crystal and Melissa (another returning model) – at the time of writing these are all ‘live’ models and without hair on their legs!
With regard to what you call “homemade tattoos” – I’ve little concept of what you mean (unless you refer to the quality) as I always thought tats were carried out at Tattoo Parlours. A lot of the British models’ (younger ones) I’ll agree have them – but it’s entered the mainstream in someways and we have it like it or not. My preference is, if the model is good I’m not going to let a few tats ruin it for me – though I know from the comments section – some posters seem to think they own the model. It starts all sorts of comments some mildly unpleasant to worse (from a few of the usual suspects).
I’m finding N&H better than ever before, there was a time where there used to be lean periods but that’s stopped completely now, there is new models coming at a steady pace – though here I am biased as I like Sean R’s dedication to big sets with great clarity the best.
I’m sorry you’re jaded with it all, it’s a shame I imagine, if you can’t find your particular niche.
I wish you good luck finding something out there!
BTW, have you looked at satinplay ?
I haven’t but it might be of interest, lots of lingerie though I think the models are shaven (not good for me!)

That's bollocks.
I've been a member a long time and no way is N&H going as you put it to the 'gross out' crowd, not a bit of it.
I'd say the opposite, the site's producing some lovely sets of gorgeous women (there is the harier content for those that want that i.e. legs) but that content is the minority. There is more than enough of other content to keep one happy.
The site has gone to high-res two years ago and their top photographers produce stuff in stunning clarity.
The model you refer to I've no idea which one you mean. There is certainly more ladies with tattoos, but that's reflecting the current trend (in Britain anyway) of getting tats.
Not everyone like this nor I'm not a total fan but get with the times.

Yes, howeve this is a personal thing - I HATE hardcore as it leaves me cold.
Some days there are 2 sets of hardcose and mostly one, thankfully the site stays with solo mostly, but hardcore is there for those that want it.
Hardcose vids too.

I agree entirely, the irony is that shaved IS a fetsh, surely natural ladies are just that - natural and shaving is a recent thing. To dome degree or other women shaved downstairs, but this was to trim it as much as anything - going by what most females have said to anyway!
What seems to have happened in the last few years is that pubes are considered "dirty" or something along that line and they must be removed totally.
I don't agree at all though that his recent models are old slappers, one or two yes; in 2010 have you seen: Regina, Kirsty, Shanice, Sheila, Emma, Zarina, Marika, Alabama, Lauren, Sian Tequilla - these have all been added in 2011 are some are gorgeous. I will agree though they have makeup but that is the photographer's style I guess.
Granted a fair few have tats but these are in fashion these days too!

Yes I joined We Are Hairy twice but I couldn't get into it, there is something with the way they process the images or something else but they didn't come across that well - to me anyway. The clarity wasn't there.

Thanks for the detailed response.
I actually agree with you though you may think that's odd. One of my old complaints regarding sets is if the jump to the goods straight away - no I'm in 100% agreement with you here - I love sets where it’s slowed down.
That's why I like the longer Sean R sets it can be a while before you see all which is so much better; love sets with lots of clothes too including long dresses with the classic suspenders and stockings but like you I find this has deteriorated of late.
Yes I think you’re right, some people want to see pussy from the outset, and think you’re odd if you like the models clothed for long, and don’t get me started on people that think there is something wrong if you like to see women in their natural state. Everyday porn is so boring to me, and I hate hardcore boy/girl stuff.
Anyway I think it’s improving but I can see your point, the models that used to come through from R Williams were always pretty good but his content has trailed off a lot.

Yes they are still in volumes, guess that is something they ought to update too!
I've given 90 based on the upgrade and vastly improved interaction on the boards since the start of the year, they now provide information on upcoming models for example.
I'll openly admit though it's possibly a little high, see my response to Cap'n - I have yet to find another site that gives me the same raunch factor as N&H along with big sets, seems very hard to get this elsewhere.
Yes not all the contributors provide crystal clear images (something that baffles me) but photographing a live subject isn't as easy as we'd think no doubt, however I don't think that excuses blatantly poor quality.
However things are improving albeit a little too slowly.

I'd agree with you too, sometimes there can be a bit too much close stuff in Sean Rs work – a bit on gynaecology side for sure, but this is offset with a good range of shots, hence I like big sets.
A criticism I had of his work was he never (or rarely) focused on the bottom, that is just showing lovely curvy cheeks (where the model possessed them!) instead overdoing the spread shots, and where there was nice shots there was never enough in the series, something you’d probably favour!
Solo photography is by far the only niche I’m interested in, and I feel it’s probably the most challenging for a photographer; it must be hard or impossible to repeat the same poses, then again it is pornography after all, and this is where Sean R wins for me as some of the angles are excellent and it is essentially hardcore solo – I think anyway.
On the subject of looks, well I guess he can only shoot models that apply and given society’s attitude to body hair I’m glad there are still some out there willing to pose – so I’m glad they’re about – though there is the odd one that has the old slapper look :)

I hear what you're saying but maybe it's me I like long sets with a good number of pictures within a particular series (e.g. full body shots standing or lying), as in slide show this has a nicer flow to it, rather than a sudden change where for example the model has changed pose drastically.
On another note I only look seriously at a few photographers, and some like R Williams who's work is excellent but with sets around 80 images and less there isn't the time to ogle the sets slowly as sometimes (actually mostly) you see too much on the first page - I like this to be a bit slower - personal preference fair enough.
As to bulking out I can't say if this is the aim as I don't go through all the contributors, for a start there isn't the time!
Sean R sets are the main reason I enjoy N&H for the reasons stated above, anything else hasn't come close IMHO - if you look at the voting on the site the vast number of models voted are by him.
Each to their own but sets around 100 pictures are way too short in my view - no pun intended!

Since 1st January 2011 pictures in 200x3000 with stunning clarity (based on photographer) and available in 3 resolutions for viewing or download.
Video in MP4 quality, worth noting but personally I’m a stills man.
Models’ content appearing at short intervals (excellent for collectors).
ATK Lounge – this has improved greatly and the team are really listening to its members including a lot of interaction from the owner.
Huge archive and good search engine. |

Site has speed problems from time to time but this has improved.
Only a few of the contributors are producing crystal clear quality work with great angles.
No custom download options for users that require a range of images only.
No sets numbers at model level, can be hard to keep track/count.
Still more quantity than quality but where there is quality it is excellent. |

I see that ATK N&H still seems to be getting bad press so I think I'll add my second review as I think things are definitely improving, certainly in 2011, and I speak as a long time member and currently on a subscription well over a year.
I still have issues with the site, however I think ATK N&H are really trying hard to improve things; the major improvement was the upgrade to the stills, from the 1st January, though it seems that you can’t please some people as users began complaining that they couldn’t see the image in their browsers, but there are now 3 image sizes for viewing/downloading – why wouldn’t you want 2000x3000!!!
As noted above only really a few photographers are contributing excellent quality clear eye-popping work, and this is personal of course but Sean Rs work is outstanding .
Long sets with some very interesting angles, and from January a raft of new models have appeared on the site shot in glorious clarity by him, the quality has ramped up substantially .
Of other note R Williams/BMB produce good work with the former trailing off from the early days when there was more of his content been posted.
Overall the site has improved a lot in 2011 and the addition of more interaction on the forum with highlights of upcoming models has really added to the anticipation.
Each to their own of course but I still feel ATK N&H is the best!
Given it 90 as I feel it's going in the right way, and the improvements this year have really helped. |

No way the big sets are brilliant, I wonldn't want to see them been trimmed (I refer to Sean Rs work) best on the site - the site needs to add custom downloads for users to select their range of pics, but reduced choice is not the way to go!
Without Sean R the site wouldn't be so good, his stuff is crystal clear, and I think the 3000x2000 is a vast improvement, in slide show thay work perfectly well and in close the clarity is amazing.

I have to agree largely with your comment going hardcore isn't the answer, and also agree I'd prefer if they just added more quality sets of good looking girls.
However I do think there are a good deal of decent looking girls in there, but also some not so, 'ugly solo' as you put it :)

I've searched the web now and again looking for the natural look, and this site I always end up coming back to.Not all of the content is excellent of course, and not saying all the girls are supposed to enjoy doing this, but from all the content there are only really 2 photographers worth looking at. Well that is all I've discovered in this site. However don't let that put you off stuff by R Williams and Sean R are very good. R Williams stuff has great angles, and he does great close shots including 'up arse'. Hs sets are usually around the 70-80 mark, and are in the same locations. Wait till you get a load of Sean R though...He is now the photographer with the most images on the site, and generally speaking his stuff is very good, and best of all most sets are well over 200 images, with some outstanding sets with great angles. Also, aside from a few most of his content is clear. If only his sets included full bottom shots like R Williams, I love them as I'm an arse man :)

There is a lot of fuzzy stuff, I think mainly from Eastern Europe, and even if that wasn't a problem, the angles and the rest aren't up to it, when compared to Sean R/R Williams. Another note, some people are like me put off by hairy legs, but there are only a few of the models in this really scary hairy bracket, so not really a problem.
Their voting system is way to look at what other members consider 'hot' but I wish they had a forum (though they do respond to mails quickly) but would be nice to have a forum to request more posting of really good models. sometimes they just appear, which is a nice surprise but would be good if there was some interaction. |

Aside from the cons, thankfully most of the models I like, and best of all 10 sets seems to be the norm, with some of Sean Rs going to 20 and more! A lot have a glorious hairy bush, which I find so erotic..So what I’d say is: go for it, but plan the visit around a period when you don't have any commitments!! |

Yes of course I'm aware of that, my point is the sets aren't numbered, with most models having 10 this isn't necessarily a problem (the flow is oldest to newest) but some of the bigger volume models it is hard to count them!
