I like to believe most actresses do like it, but the real question is can they make the viewer believe it.
Most newbies haven't learned yet how to act like they love it. Some learn along the way, some don't. Then there are those that we like to call "natural born stars" and with them, it's obvious.

I have to agree, myself I think that sometimes the female star
is treated like a rag doll. And is why I avoid the over aggressive
videos. You can hide body language, but often their eyes will show they just want it over. Gonzo are often Wham Bam, thank you Mam, shooting and my opinion a monkey could make films like that.

I watch a lot of the BTS material and it seems that most are fine with the work they do. I can't imagine that the sex is all that enjoyable though.

I think using the term actor to describe the vast majority of performers in todays porn may be a slight exageration of the word and I'm not really talking about their ability to play a particular part but there lack of pretending to enjoy what they are doing. There are still exceptions but I find that for the most part porn has been reduced to a number of people inserting various objects in another persons different orrifices all the while that person is repeating the same words over and over and barely looking like she's having sex.
I think people have always chosen porn because it is a quick way to make good money and that hasn't changed but at least there was a time when people appearing on screen at least tried to appear like they were enjoying themselves.

I am not so sure about that when it comes to the males, slategrey. With a sex scene lasting about 20 - 25 minutes I am sure there are times when they have to force themselves to think of something outlandish and unpornish while they are laboring away or the scene would be over too quickly.
Add to that the director's constant orders, plus the lights, plus the annoyance of a squeaking bed/sofa, plus a camera in your face or near your genitals ... they might feel a certain pride after the fact thanks to viagra, but enjoyment? :-)

Interesting question, but I wonder if we'd ever really know. Even if the porn stars don't particularly enjoy it, I doubt they'd say so publicly. It's a very public career, and you wouldn't want to piss off the wrong people.
But maybe a lot of them do enjoy it, or sometimes, or depending on with whom.
Yet there's always that doubt ...

Good points about the issues that male talent might face, messmer. I can imagine sometimes it would be difficult to perform with a bunch of people watching you. And the opposite, which you mention, is the possibility of having the guy finish early.
One good thing if I was ever invited to star in a porn scene with the likes of Tanner Mayes or Amia Moretti is that it would be mercifully short for the viewers.

I watch mainly gay porn and I think the majority of gay male actors enjoy it, though probably not as much as regular sex and certainly they see it as a job. On some amateur sites though I'd say most enjoy it - and on "gay for pay" sites the genuinely straight guys probably don't enjoy it - though few are convicingly straight!!

Well, I guess on one hand it's just a job... but the really enjoyable moments come from those who have pride in their job and do it to please and entertain the viewer.
I have a lot of respect for anyone who takes that approach, regardless of the work; I hope that for most porn performers feel that way.

Some probably do, some probably don't. Simple as that...depends on the personality and what they're doing. I can't see how anyone could enjoy such things as bulkake (spelling?), but I suppose some might. Or having an orfice pried open past the breaking point.
Generally, if the models are treated with respect and made to feel like attractive, worthy human beings who are making a lot of people very happy, I'm sure that goes a long way toward them enjoying it. Unfortunately, there's still too much porn out there that doesn't have those elements. As much as possible, I avoid that kind of porn. If I encounter it, I'm out of there.
