Status:

Current Member for less than 1 month (at the time of review).

Pros:

-Massive library of movies (over 6000 videos).
-Choice of available studios is amazing.
-Search engine is quite impressive.
-Download speed is very good.
-Price is quite low for content.
-Good description of content for each scene.
-Access to footage fromthe "behind the scene?.
-Possible access to some of Evil Angel & Vivid's library(through an upgrade of 17.95 per studio).

Cons:

-Although they offer a large library of studios and movies. I consider that about a 1/3 to 1/2 of these studios offer substandard content or repackaged scenes.

-The tagging of some scenes is incorrect and can lead to improper finds when looking for certain fetishes.

-Although I like the option the possibility to upgrade to both Evil Angel and Vivid's movie page. I consider that only EA's is currently worth the price since many of the movies are recent and a cost 17.95$ for the upgrade. Ot is still much less than actually buying one of the movies on DVD.

Bottom Line:

Videobox is the leader in download porn movie sites. Not only for the shear quantity, but also for the quality of the content. I know that some others are on the rise but they still have far to go before they reach the master.

I know that some have found the cost for the 2 new studios to be high. I do not because I own
one of the movie currently on that section and I paid more than the cost of the upgrade. I don't know if anyone else is aware of this, but EA dvd's are usually 5 to 10$ more than most other studios.

I agree that 17.95$ for Vivid's is too high. In great part because I prefer the older Vivid stuff to the newer one and that is most if the
current content.

I hope that they pay better attention to the tagging of scenes because I have found a couple of errors. Although a slight annoyand now. It will be a significant problem if they keep adding content atr the speed they are now.

I would love for them to add older content that is difficult or impossible to find. I would gladly pay twice as much for acces to material from the 70's and 80's.

I would like to see more studios added to their library, and I wouldn't mind the removal of some of those that I consider of low quality.

I wish I had joined this site a couple of years ago. I would have saved a lot of money that I wasted on streaming sites or in bying dvd's.

2	pat362 (333)	REPLY TO #1 - messmer : Hi messmer. You are right that normally I would have given the site a smaller score because of the amount of sub-standard or repackage content. In this case I felt that with a library of 6000+ movies. Even if half are less than impressive then that still leaves 3000 movies. The other reason is price. I've been a member of AEBN and Hot Movies for years and I can guarantee you that, I paid a shit load more cash to stream many of the movies/scenes that are now on my hard drive. I gave DP Fanatics and Lez Cuties some high scores. Both of these belong to a network that has at least 50% sub-standard/non exclusive material. In their case, the score was because the good content was all exclusive and of such greta quality. In many ways I feel rather stupid for not having joined Videobox sooner. All the cash that I paid for streaming site makes me a little sick right now.	04-04-09 06:19pm Reply To Message

BTW, I liked your review of Videobox, just reacting to the high scores it has been getting, not only from you but from others, including TBP. 4	pat362 (333)	REPLY TO #3 - messmer : Since this is my first time then, I'm pleased with their content. So much so that I will probably keep my membership for an extra month. This will be the first time I do that(at least on purpose). I do agree with your March 29 conment that although they are on top. They will have to add a lot more variety if they want to keep their existing members. I find the addition of Evil Angel's and Vivid's movies to be a good step in that direction. They need to make more deals with more studios to get access to their content. I will gladly pay more for a greater variety of content, but in return I will not pay for crappy movies. I just checked and from the last 20 movies added: 2 are Vivid, 1 is EA, and maybe half of the others are worth a quick look at. If my math is good then that means that under my current membership only 8 movies are worth it.	04-05-09 06:43pm Reply To Message
