Pros: - Huge collection (approximately 840 scenes)
- Top quality material
- Very innovative
- Excellent customer service
- Excellent value for money*
- Beautiful models
- Models are a good mix of known, unknown and fetish
- Multiple download options
- Photos available (with zips)
- Download speeds are great
- Supports download managers
- Membership gives discounts to other Kink sites

*I know that there are complaints that there is no ‘network’ access. I agree, but fully understand why not. The material is so well done that it must cost a fortune to produce the unique material for so many sites.
Cons: There really are no cons. This is likely the best (excluding other Kink sites) BDSM site you can find on the internet. And to make it better, it is a great value too. In my opinion, it would a great value at twice the price.
Bottom Line: As big of a fan of Kink.com sites as I am, I can’t believe that I never took a membership to Hogtied before. This is the site that started the Kink empire way back in 1998. Peter Acworth started this site shooting scenes out of his apartment and eventually progressed through a series of locations until buying the San Francisco Armories a few years back. You can see that transition as the scenes progress.

Even though this was the beginnings of Kink, the business model that they continue to use is already in place: the shoots are very well done, and the videos and photos meet, and probably exceed industry standards. Sure, the 1998 videos aren’t up to 2011 standards, but to expect that is unreasonable. What is noticeable, however, is that there are sites today that barely achieve the technical abilities that Hogtied did in 1998.

Another interesting thing to note in this walk through Kink history is how the seeds of several other Kink sites were sowed here first. Water Bondage obviously has its roots here, and you could easily argue that sites like Device Bondage and Public Disgrace do too. As it is a walk through history, the initial scenes are fairly tame and feature unknown models and use little plot. Eventually the scenes shot at the Armories become BDSM spectacles, many times with a plot too.

An interesting side note is the models. At first, they appear to be largely unknown models, maybe girls dabbling in adult picking up some extra cash. They then go through a phase where some well-known A-list porn stars not normally known for doing fetish work show up. The more recent scenes tend to feature models well known in the fetish world. Models like Amber Rayne, Dana DeArmond and Madison Young.

The premise is simple and hasn’t really changed much – with the exception of some plot-based scenes: the model is tied up and sexually tormented. Sex occurs, but not often. If you want sex in every scene, see another child of this site: Sex and Submission. As simple as the premise is, it works. If you watch a lot of it, it can seem repetitive, but lay off for a while and the innovation becomes apparent again.

Technically, as with all other Kink sites, they are excellent. Videos are offered in multiple formats to suit your wants and capabilities. Photos are available too, with zips on offer. Download speeds are good and managers are supported.

The bottom line is that this is another excellent site from Kink. It is huge, offering well over 800 scenes, many of which are nearly an hour long. The average scene is probably closer to 30 minutes, especially on the newer scenes where the intensity is pretty high. If BDSM is your thing, you owe it to yourself to get a membership here.

One bit of advice: if you’ve not done so before, create an account at Kink. It’s easy and free and you will get email offers for excellent deals. When you’re a member to one site, you get a discount on others.

RustyJ (145) I understand the pricing issue very well. I've read many comment on claims of too high price that the quality is worth it but in my opinion that is very subjective. To me it looks like (based on previews) that much of the content on this site is quite repetitive and shot mainly in dark basement. The fact that it costs three times as much per month as 21Sextury subscription (after you get the loyalty bonus) that has two weekly updated 1080p bondage sites that are very high quality in my opininon makes these sites very expensive in comparison. Of course I have strong preference for European actresses and cannot stand too much dirty talk in English so I am biased.

Still I'm strongly considering some other Kink.com sites as they appear excellent in their own niche. Can you tell me, if I join one, is there a way to skip onto other one for cheaper price from inside and cancel the membership of the previous one? That way one would be able to have almost a network subsription by changing one's subscription.

Thanks for the comments. I think we're on the same page when it comes to pricing issues, but we just differ a bit on how big a deal it is. I'm a big fan on most Kink stuff (some cynics might even think I'm shilling in my reviews, but I'm not. I'm a paying customer.) The production values in all Kink sites justifies the price for me. I suspect that they have to charge this much to cover their costs (and make a profit too) and they have to do this from a smaller customer base.

I also agree that the scenes can seem repetitive. This happens for a lot of their stuff. But, for me that only occurs if I'm watching one scene after another. The innovation and uniqueness comes through if I dabble in the scenes rather than dive in head first.

On your question re pricing, it has been my experience that once you are registered as a paying member on one site you get a $10 discount on memberships to other sites. I don't know if this is a hard-and-fast rule, but it has always occured for me.

If you haven't already done it, make sure to create a free account and ask to be on the mailing list. I'd say at least once a month I get an offer for a discount on one site or another. Recently I got an offer I couldn't refuse: 99 cent one-day access to a few sites which was an excellent opportunity to get inside and take a closer look at some a new site. (And when I was in one a one-day membership I signed up for another site I really wanted and got a $10 discount too) I only wish they'd make that offer on more sites because there are several (Ultimate Surrender is one) that I'd like to check out but don't think I'd have enough interest to warrant the monthly fee.

Thanks for your reply.

Regarding their costs, you must be right. As that Acworth guy actually bought that castle like building in the middle of San Francisco, their expenses must be quite high. From what I've understood, they are throwing all kinds of parties there with Acworth also "acting" in those scenes and members being able to join. I have nothing against that kind of community activity or the people behind it having their share of fun but I just cannot help the feeling that other customers are subsidizing quite a lot of that community action for locals.

Still, I'm a 100% guaranteed future member of their sites. It's not really about money but I'm just bit overwhelmed by other stuff at the moment. Thanks for the tip about joining and waiting for offers ;)

My experiences with Kink over the years has been excellent, especially with customer service and site quality. Just not having to enter and re-enter my password dozens of times is a benefit I highly value over many other sites.

Regarding pricing, I've often found that I can join a site for about $30 for scores of quality scenes, then quit the site after three weeks or so and join another site on Kink at a discount ($19.95/mo). This has not always been true, but is more often true than not.

While this is not as cheap as 21stsextury (and not as well lit), it does have a quality for the price not found elsewhere when it comes to kinky sex.

Thanks for the info. 19.95$ doesn't seem bad at all and basically joining 4-5 sites one after another is pretty much a "network membership" there for me as I don't really care about more than half of their sites.

I hadn't thought about the probability that we're subsidizing some of the BDSM scene in San Francisco. You might be right! But like you, that probably won't cause me to stop taking memberships there because the material is so good.

One of the main reasons that I check my email is to watch for offers from Kink. The great thing about them is that the offers actually mean something. I regularly get offers from past sites that are really valueless because they don't actually offer any enticement to rejoin.

I know what you mean about those past sites. Repeatedly giving me "special offers" that are actually higher prices than the TBP price I paid when subscribing. They should at least check what a person paid before offering supposed bargains :D

I agree. I'd never considered rejoining most of them, but if I did I'd hope that I'd remember to check TBP for a discount first.

As I already commented elsewhere on this site, 21Sextury.com actually seems to have a 19.95$ offer for both SexAndSubmission and PublicDisgrace which is nice since those two are ones I'm interested in. From there I guess I can evetually hop to the remainging interesting ones.

That would be great since it would be an already-discounted way into the network.

I realized this morning that when I had my last Sex and Submission membership that I forgot to re-download a few scenes in the highest def available. They're older but among my favorites. If you get a chance, check out the scenes with Kat and with Sasha Grey. Both are great.
