Tis the season for great promotions, but..

It's not at all unusual for sites to put out promotions around holidays, and it's happening around Memorial Day too, because nothing says, I honor all the fallen soldiers like giving $5 off the price of joining a porn site - or offer $5 off the price of jeans at JC Penney.

Much as this site frustrated me with horrific download speeds and days without great updates, I also like their crazy humor and they have really hot girls, so I decided to join again when I came across a $9.95/month promo.

They make you pay for it with extra work to prevent being really reamed, though.

I joined, having unchecked an automatic extra join - and was rather amazed to see a message on the "you've joined" page that I now had a 2-day membership to PimpMegaPass and that my 2-day trial would rebill at $35.95 or some shit if I did not cancel. I looked at PimpMegaPass and it's crap, in my opinion. I cancelled very quickly - too quickly - because the cancellation for PimpMegaPass has a pre-checked trial to VIPWebPassport, which I didn't catch until my mouse was hitting the confirm button on my cancellation to PimpMegaPass. VIPWebPassport is even more worthless than PimpMegaPass so I went to cancel that crap, which was also going to rebill at $35.95 or some shit it 2 days. When I went to cancel VIPWebPassport, the cancellation on their web page says that you will be cancelled at "the end of the next rebill period" so if you cancel there, you are authorizing a charge of $35.95 or whatever it is - talk about vile!!! Luckily the credit card processor does have a phone # and you can talk to a human being. I called and told the C/S guy that answered that I wanted to cancel. He said, "Did you try to cancel on the web page?" I said, "Yes", and explained that the web page seemed to be authorizing a charge for a monthly join and that I had no interest in joining for 1 month - I hadn't even wanted a trial to the worthless site and was tricked into that. He confirmed that I would not be charged for anything at all. I said "Thank you very much."

So if you are going to join Porn Pros - be very, very careful - they're hunting panthers - actually they're hunting affiliate payoffs for joins to their worthless partner sites.

I unchecked the extra joins, but on the payment confirmation page I got a message saying I had a 2-day membership to PimpMegaPass that would be rebilled if I didn't cancel. However, PimpMegaPass didn't recognize my login info and I don't see any record of it from any of the billing companies to cancel the trial. Any help on this?	08-10-09 03:42pm Reply To Message
2	carteresque (Suspended)	I joined a few days ago and there are now two auto joins to uncheck. Fortunately I spotted them so didn't get charged, but have now also cancelled my PornPros sub because I couldn't actually download any clips. Let the buyer beware.	08-25-09 06:19am Reply To Message
