Okay, so GodsGirls.com has a Members tab, and if you click on it, you can browse through all the members on the site. If you do the math, there are 2,220 members on this site. Now, assuming that each member is paying $19.95 per month, this gives the site a gross sale number just above $40,000 per month. Obviously, they're surviving, as they've been around for almost 8 years now. But after operating expenses, bandwidth, advertising, attorney fees, etc.. Can those numbers be right? Just seems to me that $44k per month isn't enough for a social networking adult site to survive. Thoughts? | |

Just read a previous post regarding buying individual photosets and/or videos for a fixed price, rather than a monthly fee.. Has anyone ever purchased anything from mygirlfund.com? how do you know they aren't making any money? And I think the whole "social networking" aspect is how they attract so many members. It's basically paying a monthly fee to talk to hot topless models. Has anyone heard of Zivity.com? I'm not sure what to make of it. They pass themselves off as more a modeling website, but with many of the models nude. Plus, you have to pay a monthly fee to get in. What's interesting is that they accept PayPay as a form of payment, which is something PayPal doesn't allow on a "porn" site. Plus, the models don't even get paid unless member "vote" for them. I don't think the term Porn Star necessarily means that she's actually a "Star". These days, I think it just means she's a girl that does porn. 99.9% of the time I'm watching a video, the sound is turned completely off. I really don't mind listening to a girl moan & groan a bit. I remember reading an article on the internet a while back about Perfect 10, and how they were suing Google, as well as various websites, for "illegally" displaying their images... But, what got on my nerves, was that the article referred to Perfect 10 as an online "pornographer". What does everyone else think about this? You would really have to boycott everything (literally) sold in the US to get away from china. Every component on your PC is made in china, everything in your house, the clothes you wear.. Google isn't really threatening to pull out of China because they've had some kind of moral epiphany. It all comes down to security. Google's servers getting hacked makes Google look bad, really bad. Their entire infrastructure is based on cloud-computing. Up until this incident, they've had a relatively great track record regarding security. This just sets them back a great deal. If they choose to continue doing business in China, it could leave them suffering economically on a global scale. Not what Google wants. Giving up their relativity insignificant profits from China, for the sake of their entire global image, probably make sense. Plus, it gives them a justifiable reason for leaving a country that doesn't do them much good in the grand scheme of things. It's really about security and profit, not moral stance and free speech. But, if they do pull out of China (and hopefully they will, regardless of the reasons) they'll still get credit as far as free speech and human rights is concerned. | |

I'm an active web application developer and web designer, and I find it hard to believe that any site would be "past the point of no return". If it is.. then it just means the backend of that site was poorly designed, and not written with scalability in mind. Writing code to rename the images, as well as update the references in the database, might be a pain in the ass, but a good developer could likely do it in one day. A better option would be to offer zip sets. GodsGirls.com does this, available in Small, Medium and Large. No file renaming, no creating your own folders and all that mess. Just click, and you're done. | |

An 18 year old isn't likely to consider the consequences of what they're doing. Which in many ways, adds to the excitement of watching a girl do what she does on camera. I was browsing though XTube earlier, and while I wasn't really impressed with much of the content, I did notice that a lot of their content is pay-per-view, or video-on-demand. I remember reading something about it on ABC News, about Do-It-Yourself amateurs selling their own vids.. what are you guys thoughts on this?
