Pros: - 100% original content - Beautiful models - High standards in their photography - Good reputation, has stood the test of time - Solid value, especially with specials Cons: - All this great photography ... so what happened with the videos? - A stong lay out but still has navigation issues and it can be improved on. - Sometimes, sets seem to disappear in the archives Bottom Line: If you love beautiful, nubile models then you have to join Met Art at least one time. There is no hardcore here, nor insertions, but they keep you occupied with a stable of top notch models. This site is for those who appreciate art photography, so it is not always, how should I say ... revealing as some might want. They update on an acceptable basis and seemingly seek some of the best models out there. Met Art was the first in art-like model photography and they are still at the top but other sites are catching up, namely FEMJOY and MPL Studios. In fact, these three are not that far apart. I'm sure the folks at Met-Art think others copied their style and don't like it. They did. They should take it as a compliment in that they are doing something right. Still the aforementioned sites are neck and neck with the old girl these days Several of the models have now done hardcore porn but most on the site have not. Met Art continues to get the best models but the competition has closed and that is good for the consumer in that it keeps all parties pumping out good content and contracting models that are top notch. There is a plethora of different resolutions are available for Met Arts picture sets and they take you to where you can see those lovely golden hairs on the models, giving one the impression they are right there! They have the best overall photos around! I am not a fan of their videos. They're not bad but they seem a tad too soft in that picture sets are more revealing. You might say, they are li ... lame and need rethinking. They could use some new blood behind those cameras, IMO. On the other hand, they are far from trash, just not what you would expect after seeing their incredible photos. They've added a live chat area that is well set up if that's your cup of tea but extra charges will apply. As most of you know, some of the talent in chat areas can be in a word scary and by average standards Met Art is on the upper side of the equation but none I have seen are great. I remember the first time discovering the site and downloaded a lot of sets that have stood the test of time. Download speeds are fine with a good connection and there is a lot of content to keep you occupied with new discoveries of the flavor of the month. A classy site, that is a main stay if you like young, tight, natural models. This is a site that perfectly compliments a harder site and it is especially for those who do not like just any old porn but beauty. If they master their videos, they'll rock! 05-15-11  06:38pm Replies (8) Comment 102 MetArt (0) Much Improved Movie Viewer Now we all know that movies are not the primary draw at MET Art, but I've enjoyed some of them a lot. Up to now, the movie viewer has been the site's weak point. At one point in the past there was a seek bar, but then even that was disabled. Even in the larger size, you couldn't watch at anything like HD. All that is in the past. As of yesterday, Met Art has a very nice JWPlayer for watching the movies, and we can now watch them in HD, when that resolution is available for the video and in full-screen. It's about time, but it's a welcome addition. Met-art has re-designed the updates page. Met-art is constantly tinkering with the site design to improve the Met-art experience, to make the site easier to use. The old update page was basically a listing of the most recent updates (photosets and videos) with a nice-sized thumbnail of each cover sheet. By clicking on any thumbnail, you would get a full-sized page of that cover sheet. In the new update page design, you get a reduced number of update thumbnails. The updates are now sorted into a photoset grouping, and a video grouping. Before, the photosets and videos were lumped together, and sorted by date (most recent to oldest). By clicking on a thumbnail for the cover of a photoset, instead of getting a larger, full-page version, you now get 14 tiny thumbnails of photos within that set. New to the updates page is a section of thumbnails that shows the Live Met Cams models. Also new to the updates page is a listing, with thumbnails, of the top rated Metart models. Personally, I liked the old design better, it was simpler, and showed a larger amount of the most recent updates. But for someone who is just browsing, and is new to this site, the new design does a better job of showcasing the huge content that Metart offers with a membership. All of this information was available before, but the new design places more information on the primary updates page. And the technical expertise of the site design is impressive. The thumbnail links work easily. Rate the series, the model, or the photographer separately 2. Input tags for each series 3. Return to recently viewed content (their starred "Recent" button) 4. Control viewing options such as number of thumbs per page, whether the thumb opens a pic in a new window, and the default resolution of opened pics. These are nice improvements, but I did notice one change. It used to be you could change the default photo viewing resolution right on a gallery page, but now it always uses the "browser options" setting whenever you go to a new page. So you might, for example, change the view to "low" but get "high" on the next page. Perhaps this seems like a quibble, but I did like being able to reset the default without having to go into the browser options area. Just the same, the overall improvements show that Met Art continues to find ways to enhance the user experience. There have been many site improvements lately. The design has been enhanced and ease of navigation has greatly increased. The models are as delicious as ever, and I actually think they're getting much more stimulating. I find new content more erotic and less artsy than in the past. The poses are more explicit, but the photography is world-class. High-res content now comes in resolutions up to 39 megapixels -- enough to make my 24" monitor seem tiny and let you see as much detail as your heart, or penis, desires. Some of the greatest improvements I've seen are in the erotic movies and live webcams. The erotic movies are, well, erotic. For the most part, the girls have gotten away from the cutesy posing and goofing off to fill video time and are much more sensual and seductive. And the hotties on live webcams are a real treat. They're not the two-dollar whores or sleazy sluts with dildos you usually find on live webcams, these babes are classy, seductive, and friendly, and they really know how to push my buttons. I would have joined for this alone. Pros: I'm not going to go into to technical aspects of the display contents because all that is clearly spelled out in the Best Porn page. I will say that the image quality on photo sets are as good as it gets. Sharp, crisp and retention friendly with even the highest zoom setting. The number of Models appear endless, that is if you're smart enought to negotiate the dated archives, something I've yet to accomplish. Models are listed under alphabetically labeled tabs, which I liked. The most sterling feature, and one sadly absent in many other major sites, is their Flash Player. This allows one to play the clip before downloading -- something I find essential.Plenty of picture sets with up to and over a hundred frames per set. The site's reported to have thousands of videos, unfortunately I wasn't able to find them. No DRM or restriction on downloads. No problems logging in -- as well as enjoying freedom from unexpected shortcomings after doing so. Cons: 1) Video content, although of excellent quality, as a rule provided poorly orchestrated scenes. 2) As mentioned, I couldn't access the number of videos reported...could've been my ignorance. 3) Picture Images and videos, although offering ample nudity substantially lacked eroticism. 3) Too many closeups dwelling too long on a single scene in the video clips. 4) Sizable watermarks on videos. 5) Archives going back to 2005 produced the same material as offered in 2010. That is to say the number of selections is kind'a limited. Bottom Line: I, personally, don't particually care for Met Art. Although Met Art and Erotica Archives came as a combo at $30, as I've said before that if I had it to go over I'd decline the offer. Both are beautiful sites, but in my mind Met Art is over-rated. It's fair to say, to the connoisseur, the exquisite photography alone might be worth the cost. But I'm not into precision photography. First time I've noticed the met-art updates page being really messed up. The thumbnails for the most recent updates are out of order, with wrong listing dates for when the photosets/videos were posted. I assume the mix-up will be fixed soon. I've been a member on and off since MET was Most Erotic Teens and been steady for close to 4 years now. The thing that's kept me subscribed are the cam shows. There used to be fewer models and two-hour shows, and now there are many more models doing one-hour shows. As far as I'm concerned, the free cams are worth the subscription price alone. The shows are super-softcore (no genital touching) and conversation is strictly monitored, so if you like your porn polite, this is a plus. The shows (like the photo sets, come to think of it) are a bit uneven, but there are ratings in place to guide you. Less popular models don't get booked as often, or at all after a while. Some models have been with MET for years and they never disappoint. Others are students and look it, and they also act like it. Some have photo sets, although they don't always get the best photographers, since they are often not professional models and often live in out of the way locations. English is not the first language of any of the current models, who speak either Russian, Romanian or Tagalog so chat can be hit or miss in the public shows. If you decide to spring for a one-on-one chat, they use Google translation, which goes a long way. Keep in mind that the private shows are meant to be as softcore and polite as the public ones, although chat is *not* monitored. You can also do two-way voice chat in private shows. The time I've spent there has saved me a ton of money I might have spent elsewhere, and I have some fond memories of a few sweet, beautiful models who have gone on to other things. How many places do you get to look up the butt of a hot model who remembers your nick? For.Free. Even though there are more models each doing fewer public shows each now, it's still the kind of personal experience I've not come across anywhere else. Anyway, I just thought I'd give a shoutout to the very lovely and friendly cams models at MET, since they are a really nice bonus on top of the pictures and vids. It is all very formulaic & repetetive. Sure beautiful girls, scantily clad to nude, usually outside. Most of the thumbnail set 'covers' blend into each other. There is so much material, I am bound to have missed a few gems in there, but searching through the 'covers' to find one that stands out gets dull. A shame, but that is the way it strikes me. Very pretty girls for subjects, but videos were boring and a waste of time to watch. The model is pretty, which is nothing new for Met-art, but I kept expecting the model to turn into a monster or creature, or for someone to jump on her and start slashing away with a knife or axe or something. This is a PHOTOSITE - if you have not been here before: do not forget that. - Even if the navigation is ok, the browsing at model-pages is a bit clumsy - you get a lot of mouse-work here. - Too many outdoor shoots for my taste - Boring and not very erotic g/g sets - Can be a bit repetitive in the long run Bottom Line: Been at this rather special and somewhat great site many times over the years - but never stay more than that one month. The reason is: After spending hours and days searching for those models that - for you - hit the fan - things seems to fade out. Oh, even if you get those four updates each day - everything seems to get more and more repetitive. BUT still: This is the place for collectors of fine nude photosets - AND the quality is getting better and better. Those 5616x3744 high resolution sets are some of the best quality I've seen anywhere - if your're really hooked on those nude top-photosets, this is it. The best thing about this photodeal here is, that MetArt are getting more and more new photographers - and even if some of the sets can be that repetitive, the variation is better now that the last time I was here some 9 months ago. Even if the search might be teasing now and then - even for the experienced PU - there's help: I like the way all (or most) sets have the choice of biography/full cover view/low/mid/high res AND inside the scene you get the choice of this models other sets - a fine plus. The videos are the same old problem: not very erotic, not very sexy - maybe even boring. Very Strange - since also MetArt are going for more videos now. The quality was BAD in the start - it's getting better - but still: forget about the clips here - and even for this video-freak I join only because of the photos. AND, btw: Some newer videos (Evelyn P - 2010/04/13) are - again - in low quality - WHY? For outside US PUs you'll get a higher price when trying to join the TBP $ 19.95-deal. But if you write the webmaster, you'll get a link to that special price - I did - and it took about 12 hours to get the link - MetArt cares about their customers - it seems. Even if I also this time only stay on for a month (and save maybe 20-25 sets, only), I'll certainly be back later this year... Pros: Enormous content. High-resolution JPEG files. Files have unique file names. Navigation is simple and effective. Cons: HUGELY over-rated by TBP. WAAAY too "arty-farty." Do you REALLY need half a million pictures of skinny, flat-chested girls standing on the beach, or in some other outdoor location? Files named by photographer, not by model. Bottom Line: I'm just days away from ending a year-long subscription. As others have said, there is a huge amount of non-erotic content. Really, truly, there is probably something in the neighborhood of half a million pictures of "naked girls standing on the beach" -- just hundreds, if not thousands, of sets with nothing more close-up or erotic than a girl just standing there. Then there are "prop shots" -- if you see a girl standing there holding a bunch of flowers or an orange ball or whatever, you can rest assured that EVERY SINGLE PICTURE in the set will prominently feature that prop. And so on. This is "arty-farty" nonsense. And there are TERABYTES of it. Yes, there is plenty of "good stuff," too. Terabytes of it, too. Your job -- and it will be a substantial amount of "work" -- will be to sort through it all. The bottom line for me was that I could skip over half or more of the sets, and still walk away with thousands of sets of really good-quality photos. It was just disconcerting, at first, to go through set after set after set of non-erotic "girls standing on the beach" stuff, before I finally found something worth keeping. Naming sets by the photographer is nonsensical, except that you could use them to sort out the arty-farty photographers from the ones who actually comprehend why people like us pay money to subscribe to sites like these. Finally, the sheer volume of stuff is just astonishing. It's very easy to fill up a 1-terabyte drive. And it must constitute something beyond a million images, just speaking about the pictures.
