I also signed up for Devil's Film with essentially the same email offer and forgot to scour the page for the pre-checked cross-sell to Pornaccess. So I got burned by that. The bigger problem is that even though it was pre-checked I don't appear to have a membership because I have no email from them and my DF password doesn't work on PornAceess. I think I'll have to keep an eye on my credit card.
And I agree that cancellation should be quick and easy on any site.
Hmm...that is news to me as I have used paypal to pay for adult sites for almost two years now...maybe I should be more careful... Thanks for the heads-up I'll take a careful look at their legal terms.
I hoping that it's just "growing pains" as far as the video updates are concerned. The site still is has enough going for it, as far as I can tell, anyway, to come out of relative obscurity and become a major hit: a well-known and respected photographer, better design and functionality, better and larger pics, a flock of fine models presumably on speed dial. Only time will tell, but I'm rootin' for it.
I agree with you, once a year and you should be up to date. This site offered more to get you to join, and after I joined I got screwed over, by then offering less.
Yes the site is basically Brazzers MKII, but they could have still used mofos scenes in brazzers and not bothered with another site, just to get more money from members.
Nobody would have a problem with 5 updates a week, if they stopped false advertising claming to have 21.
There is a ton load of complaints if you read the scene comments. I copied some of them and could post them up to prove my point that there is lots of unhappy members.

Thanks for the heads up PinkPanther. I couldn't figure why the content only dated back to April 2007 when I was almost certain the site had been around a whole lot longer. That's a pretty dishonest move on the webmasters part! I changed my review score accordingly.
Interesting. In a way - looking at it from a business point of view - you can't blame sites for doing that. They've realised that there's a lot of business in the 'one month only' customers who never return. So it's probably cheaper to just recycle and rely on those one-monther customers coming along.
What large sites should do is offer a choice of deals. The more you pay, the further back into the archive you can access. Different passwords could give different levels of access. That way, if you want to join again after being away for, say, 8 weeks, you could buy an 8 week deal - just get the last 8 weeks of archive - and the next 30 days of updates. This would be better value for the customer because he only needs the last 2 months updates. But for the webmaster it would mean he might come back more often, so it's good business sense. Large sites could offer 4 week, 8 week, 16 week, 6 month, 12 months, whatever deals, up to the entire history of the archive at the top price.
Wonder if any site has considered this? I've been away from Club Sandy for about 3 months - I'd love to visit again, but I don't want to pay full price just to get the last 3 months of updates. I'll probably wait at least a year, and shop elsewhere in the meantime.
Glad I saw this review and replies. I was considering joining Mya's site having been a member of Eve's and Sandy's. But I think I'd better pass on that!

What you've said and also what I've been noticing about the Eve-Lora-Mya triage (slowness with updates, recycling, and funky content like Lora and Mya's poorly lit photos of Euro-sex performances and visits to porn fests) add up to a general flagging in the "integrity" department.
I'd say at the moment, Eve's is the most "principled" in the continued offering of fresh content, bless her little heart, although they haven't had a blasted update this month since the 1st.

OK - so multipe weeks of no access - right? I tried their Live Support - there is NEVER anybody at their Live Support! I posted messages at their Live Support - multiple messages - no response
I tried e-mailing their Customer Service E-mail address multiple times - no response.
I had their billing support people - who were very responsive - try to contact a webmaster or someone to help and THEY got no response and neither did I.
I posted at their forum multiple times and got no response.
Finally I just cancelled my membership - and got a completely canned e-mail "You cancelled your membership? Why? Was there anything we could have done better?" And they offered me a re-join price that was HIGHER than what I had been paying.
This site is the worst!!!!!!! Join at your own peril - I would rate it at -10 at this point. Despicable!!
Here's another review that I have to down-grade steeply for 2 reasons:
1) Recycling of old content - they basically made their earliest content unavailable and then have re-posted photosets and vids as being new - with no upgrade in quality to justify it
and
2) Horrifically bad Customer Service - I haven't had access to the site in a week. The site claims to have Live Support - except there is never anybody at the Live Support and they don't respond to multiple messages left there. They apparently don't respond to their billing agent, either, since the billing agent said that they e-mailed the Webmaster asking the Webmaster to respond to me and they never did
I'd change my rating for this site down to a 70 for those 2 reasons alone - fucking ripoff is what this site is at this point!

That is interesting, sorry I hadn't gotten back sooner. I don't know why they would remove a few months of the archives, though I do know that Eve's site is having a slowdown right now. As of today, almost Sunday, there isn't a Saturday update or even a button to see July's calender.
I've been frustrated at times with Gen. Entertainment, but overall, I've had good experiences with their customer service. For example, on Eve's site a recent set where she is standing under an outdoor shower with a thin shirt on, the WMV version won't let you scan forward, but the MOV version will. I catch myself checking every clip now just in case the WMV version has this problem, probably 6-7 over the years have had the same problem.
I'm still not for sure about lowering the site. There are few sites on the internet that have the quality pictures/videos, even if only for 19 months, daily set equals roughly 550 pic or vid sets for $14.99. That is a lot of quanity and quality for half the price of most high quality sites. You will have to excuse my positivity, I'm from California, I like the glass half full!
But seriously, I can understand that some would take away, especially if they make a habit of recycling sets. I'm almost positive that each of the General Entertainment sites are ran by different webmasters and have different customer service reps. Let me know if they continue to recycle.

That is interesting, when I go to Mya's site the archive goes back to 12/05. I believe 12/05 would have been about right, Eve's was up about 5-6 months before Mya's.
I don't have Mya's pictures saved on my HD, I usually go for her friends section. I checked out though and I would say it is possible for them to use the same set twice. I have two Eve videos from Eve's site that are almost identical. One is about 3 minutes longer, also, if you aren't a member of Eve's site, check out the preview and go to July 16th 2005 on her updates calender. There is nothing there, a picture, but no downloading options. One thing that I have noticed about Mya's site is the 2 part videos, that they split into 2 updates. The number of the set will be exact, except it will have a 2 at the end instead of 1.
I'm not for sure if General Entertainment is working as hard on their sites, Eve's is going great, she even did a Member Request recently. I also had let my Lora Craft membership cancel, for the first time since the site started, I go back, but can't get the TBP discount to work anymore. I have found that Mya's customer service isn't quite as responsive as Eve's. Eve has a CSR named Olga who seems to answer within 24 hours. I had sent an email to Mya's customer service asking why they didn't have any Eve material, when I am certain they did at one time. Never received a reply back, so I let it cancel too.
It is my understanding that several sites are facing DDos Hacks, I know that PixandVideo sent a lengthy email to me last month explaining the hacks that got them and how it slowed their site down and messed up their updates. Send an email in, I've found they respond well to nice, short emails. Well you know what I'm talking about, I always put "Hello from America" one thing they are known for is giving an extra 2 weeks onto your subscription for no charge, if you have a valid complaint with them.

Well now Panther you can't put a gauge on a site that has been up for over 2 years based on just one month. I've been a member for a 3 month stretch last March/April/May on Eve's site, then joined it again in September 2006 and haven't cancelled since. It also depends on when you were a member, there was a time this past November/December that Eve had posted that she was going to a Sex Expo to accept an award along with Viv Thomas. Those few months did have some problems. Including the most common, updates posting, but you couldn't download them. Then there was a month, believe November 2006 where the updates were only coming once every 7-10 days, instead of daily and would come in 7-10 update bunch. I'm not for sure who does her updating, but I noticed that even Pics and Video missed an update yesterday. As long as customer service lets me know, "We will be back up in a day or so" I'm not too concerned.
In 2007, when Eve's site goes down, so does Mya's and Balkan Amateurs and on the most recent one also Lora Craft's was down, all four at the same time. I've been a member this year on Eve's, Mya's and Lora's (since they opened it) and the other two, Eve's the whole year and Mya's all but one month. Also what could make a difference on the interaction you are seeing with Eve on the site could have been the month you were a member. I don't think the comment section was put on Eve's site until this year. She replies to most and if not, she will a month or two after they have been posted. I have left 4 comments, she has responded to each one.
I like to talk about Eve and Mya's sites together since both are so similar. I don't know if I maybe worded one part wrong, when I mentioned personality. I didn't mean the site's personality, but was talking about the way I like how Eve smiles and laughs in some videos. The current problem that has come up on the sites has happened 2 times in the last 6 or 7 weeks. It lasts 1 day. The main page takes a good 30 seconds to open. If you do the tour, it opens right up, as does the payment page, but if you login, the screen goes blank.
This is fixed by the next day and really, I have all of the archives, so I am only downloading the one new update each day, so I don't even really notice when it happens. If you haven't been on it lately, you should try it out again. I still think the best value in porn is the combination of Eve and Mya's sites for $30. Have you seen the behind the scenes sets? Eve really does do most of the picture taking when it is a "friend". It is kind of funny to see the pictures since someone else is taking a picture of Eve taking a picture of another model.
I've heard the site crashes but I never saw it myself. There's even a twitter hashtag: #MFCfail. Guess it happens during the evening in the US, while Europe is sleeping.
What I noticed were minor annoyances like not getting an alert on-site when a favorite model went online or getting huge delays when I attempted a private. As I said in the cons, I tried different browsers and each one had its own issues.
