My point really is that Al Gore won more votes among those who voted.
The electoral college system in the USA actually elects the president. It gives electoral votes to each state and actually elects the president (the popular vote by itself doesn't count in the US Constitution).
This means a big win (68%) in one state can be easily offset by a very small 50.00001% win in another state that gets the same or more more electoral votes in the electoral college.
Each state no matter how small also gets at least 2 senators and 2 electoral votes just for being a state. This gives states with smaller populations a bigger say in the vote than their population would give them if the popular vote counted (which it doesn't).
This system allows the majority of people to all vote and still be outvoted by the electoral college. That's how Al Gore won more votes in the popular vote (by the voters), but still lost the presidency.
I feel like a nerd for explaining in such detail. But then, I guess I am a nerd.

Those not in the USA forget that our system is not a pure democracy. If the majority really picked the president, President Gore who won the most popular votes would have been president in 2000. The vote only counts if you also make big campaign contributions.

Re your questions. Yes they are updating (16 videos have been added in 2008) and they do date the videos. I reckon they now have nearly 600 in total. Hope this helps!

Hypocritical? Sure, and not surprisingly.
Plausible? I'd say yes. I did a little research on marijuana laws a few years ago, and found out that in several states, there are stamp acts for people convicted of marijuana possession. Depending on the amount they're busted for, they have to buy these state-issued stamps. I'd say that it is a tax.
So those of us asking for recommendations on larger hard drives, beware! ;)

you don't get everything because ALS has one of the largest collections on the planet but you do get a massive amount of material...and the quality is some of the best.
The site is a simple two dimension...click on model info on the left of the preview page. that list is accurate as it is the same list inside. For each of the girls, you have an average of 3-6 photoshoots and between 1-6 vids. Some of the newer vids, maybe 50-100 of them are HD, a single scene can be 1 GB. The vids are taken at the time of the photo shoot so if you like the photos you'll like the Vids...In the vids you'll see things that are normally not in the photos like the girls lubing up ready. The thing I wish they'd do is animate their scenes a bit. Get the girls to dance strip or just walk around with Camera following...they tend to go straight to the bed,sofa legs behind their ears, with the honary toy buried where the honey grows...
I think the release relates to the Vids generally because you tend to see the Photo shoots then that gets the members to request the vid. There is a lot there and you will feel like you've overdosed when you've been looking at it for a while. the format is very repetitive. Having said that while I was there I downloaded over 140GB of vid, 40%/60% split for HD / DVD. If you like the girls in ALS Photo shoots these are Vids you need...just be ready...I wasn't and when I saw what was available I did feel like a kid in a Candy Store...
I have yet to try ALSANGELS because I do want to get some of Jade's stuff when she was still fit and that sister site holds the elite of their model stable...
Have fun, but buy some blank DVDs you're gonna need them

I agree that the pure shock value stuff bores me to tears. When I was a member of Suicide Girls, so many girls did suicide themed sets that it was just ridiculous. The very first one to do it was inspired; the rest needed their heads banged together.

I have to agree that I don't see a moral problem with Lolicon, nobody is getting hurt and time and time again it has been shown that porn doesn't instigate acting out of the fantasies it portrays - just like video games don't make mass murderers of us all. Is there a good reason to have some legal control over sexual relations with living young people? Yes. I'm not entirely sure that the over 18 rule is perfect (14 used to be ripe marrying age for girls), but it certainly can be harmful to extremely young children to be over sexualized. Humans are sexual by nature, but the speed at which a human sexually matures seems to be adjustable via many factors - and a psychological factor is definitely one of them.

Indeed the brutality of some of the scenes is quite too much for a large percentage of the porn audience; and that is the reason you really need to look through Kink's stuff, check out the free site and make damn sure you know what content you'll be getting access to. Otherwise it's just a bloody waste of money and might upset your day as well.
Of course for me, I'm part of the audience they are pandering to - so its all good, lol.

The animation is really rather poor and I would strongly dissuade anyone from joining if they don't really fancy photos. You do get sound, but it doesn't really sync up with action and the videos only last a minute or two at best.
As for the content - yes, Lolicon would be one of the fetishes I'd say they explore. They would adamantly deny this as they declare at the bottom of their tour pages in big bold letters: "We create all our digital models to be 18 years of age or older." I suppose they could claim a few of their digital models have hormone disorders and thus look like they are twelve. They also do a bit of prego models, futanari (girl-boys, or transsexuals if you like), bondage, a wee bit of twin on twin incest - all sorts of things in the name of good ol' fashion fun.
Long story short: All pictures. One of the best among its peers. A little on edge with some of the fetishes. Still not worth the money.

I really do like Kink and their policies - while granted it is pretty difficult in publishable porn to go beyond my comfort zone, I do really appreciate Kink's policy of pre and post interviews to show that everything is done in good spirit. I have to say that Sex And Submission is one of those sites I'm really looking forward to joining in the future - I just have some other high priorities picks ready first.
I do have to say though, in regards to my experience with Ultimate Surrender and my limited experience with Fucking Machines - their production style and capability has come so mind-bendingly far that you don't want to really look at the old content. It is sort of like looking at younger pictures of yourself when you thought you looked awesome with that Dukes of Hazzard t-shirt stretched across your stomach - you just cringe and desperately find something better to look at.

While there is a ton of strap-on sex - seriously, seriously rough strap-on sex - anal sex is a less common. Only a few of the models do it - largely I think because since strap-ons haven't any nerve-endings the model controlling it doesn't exactly know how rough she is being. I didn't know about the British variant - that I'll bookmark that. Indeed, after looking up the WHOIS on both the sites, Phil Knight owns both sites - so they are sibling sites.
IAFD is quite the grand daddy of pornstar indexes, but they simply miss some of the small names in the more obscure markets. Certainly can't beat them for user friendliness though. I even have a search widget in Firefox that lets me quickly look up video or star using their engine.

Great for a really, really hard to find girls and deals with pseudonyms.
www.sportyone.com (SportyONE)
Much more user friendly than EGAFD, but not as many models listed.
Between the three index sites - you should certainly be able to find your model.

Thanks for the info! That's pretty good res for those newer videos, and WMV is fast becoming the standard for all porn sites, so no bad there. Frankly, this site has saved me a bunch of money and frustration because the reviews, both by TBP staff and P. U. members, really tell the story without any "hype." Better yet, I've found some terrific sites that I would never have found without TBP/PU.

I agree both on what you said about the mindlessness of porn and about Annette Haven! I think porn should show displays of affection and not be treated as a rough and impersonal indoor sport for sex freaks. Annette was part of the Golden Age, when the attitudes were different and I must say, considerably more sophisticated. The movies could be a bit corny sometimes, but in those days there was an effort to put some style and substance in.
Can you imagine porn these days of the caliber of the "The Autobiography of a Flea?" or even "Centerspread Girls?"
