See my response to Pink Panther under answers to your comment on "strip tease," in the forum. That's why this site would have been so good. The ladies take a long time getting undressed, most wear old fashioned lingerie .. just my cup of tea. The only thing I would like them to add is a bit more "pink" at the end of each set. Some are a bit too coy.

You are right, Capn. As a matter of fact it's exactly this type of site I am looking for, however I am not prepared to put up with outdated, low quality stuff. Especially if it can't even be zipped.
Also, as I mentioned above, I did not like the webmaster's attitude. He had that arrogant "take us as we are or buzz off" attitude in his email to me which spoke volumes when it comes to his willingness to bring his site into the 21st century.

I understand what you mean. The first porn film I saw was probably an 8mm or 16mm stag film. The print was crappy and there was no sound but it was still penetration porn. Then of course the first nude magazines I saw where old Playboys from the 60's. In many ways this is what this site reminds me most. Like I said it's a nice reposotory of historical cinema and print images but I don't think people want to pay 25$ for that kind of content.

And you would be right, Cap'n. At least that's the case with the videos I've looked at so far. There was one that started fully clothed but did not end up in complete nudity. There was another that featured the model in her lingerie already but she, as well, did not take off everything. A couple more videos wait for a detailed inspection on my part.
Mind you, I might come across some sets/videos that would be more to your liking as I go along in my subscription but with the emphasis of this site being on vintage lingerie, I really doubt it.

Why, yes! There's some "casual" wear here and there, but there's a lot of lingerie and bikinis. Long, sleek, low-cut formal evening gowns are not to be found, at least to my recollection. And, as it is a glam site, not an amateur site, the girls are pretty well established in the biz.

You definitely come up with some interesting sites to review. Not terribly interested in this sort of thing but I after looking at the tour I would note that unlike most games, you apparently get to permanently keep the girls that you download (I assume the interactive / AI part works after the membership expires too). Certainly an interesting concept; can't wait for software / AI to become better where you have a truly custom stuff done although that will probably be way too expensive at first.

I agree up to a point, and certainly wouldn't join a site where they think I'll pay the same number of £ as I will $.
But I'm also pragmatic, and regional pricing is so widespread that I'd miss out on material I wanted to see if I did a total boycott - in this case, full price = $30, TBP price = $15, TBP UK price = $17; it's annoying but not enough to stop me.

Thanks for the moral support, Cap'n. That's exactly what I have done for the past week, delved into my archives. It still astounds me how tastes have changed over such a short period of time. It especially saddens me that I have money in my budget for porn but no place to put it .. especially when it comes to soft porn.
Every single, damn photographer out there seems to think that having a model take off a couple of items of clothing within the first ten pictures, followed by a never ending series of nude shots (especially cropped shots of vaginas = gynecological shots as you call them) is the thing to do to keep the masses happy. Well, maybe it is, but I am terribly bored with it all.
Thank God for my archives, I am so glad now that I hung on to some of my 800x600 sets. I was tempted to get rid of them in favor of making more room for High Resolution sets but there's nothing exciting coming along at the moment to replace the superior erotic photography of yore. When will your pendulum swing back?

So far, I have no complaints. Questions are answered almost immediately on the forum at the site.
Regarding the focus issue with some image sets, after having looked around more, I found the issue does appear more often in older sets. Newer sets only have this issue sporadically. When these issues do appear, however, they are only usually a major distraction when viewing the image at full resolution. I think it is definitley a gear-related issue and not technique. Sometimes, the focus will be on the wall behind the model or its locking onto the models jewelry or some high contrast object in the scene. This is almost always due to the camera body being a limited point autofocus DSLR or a subpar lense with a squirelly focus drive, or the point bias not set correctly. The lenses also seem to not always be the sharpest. Something like a Canon L series lens will fix that up in a hurry. They are expensive but produce superb results. I have a 300 2.8 L series lens I use for wildlife and the lens is so sharp that you can pick out a fly on the back of a moose at 50 yards. They are that good.

Yes. I do like it. It is definately an excellant site. If there was more diversity in ethnic and model variety, I would categorize it as a truly exceptional site that would score a 100 in my eyes. I think that's the only thing it is lacking.
Obviously, this all depends on whether or not the content is for you. If someone isn't into this niche, they may rate it a 50.
I think the biggest problem is finding models. With the shift away from any hair in the 80's, not too many models are going to be willing to get into this niche and let things 'grow.'
Unfortunately, sometime in the 80's, the US Porn Industry decided it would define for everyone what represents attractive on the female body. At first, my thought as to why the shave craze took hold was that people suddenly decided that any hair on a female was just too masucline. However,this doesn't explain why even the guys in porn started shaving too--their crotch, their legs, even their pits. Somehow, for some reason, hair became contraband in the North American porn industry. After about 1990, Those of us who feel public hair(or, god forbid, an unshaved armpit) on a female can be erotic, were pushed out onto a fringe into the 'odd fetish niche ' category. Look at some porn review sites and see how something like Hairy Bush would be filed in the bizarre fetish category.

As far as WAH goes, I think the problem lies with some of the photographers. You can tell by some of the comments left which ones gather the most complaints.

I may go ahead and give it a try soon. Though I am bit discouraged. I went to the site and noticed that I can look at the thumb nails of the sets - it seems there is no uniformity in poses amongst the sets. All of the sets seem random with random poses. When the sets are so random, I fear they won't get any of the basic poses.
I liked KarupsPC because all of their photo sets are uniform. I know some people think that's boring. But at least I know that I will get the poses that I want. I don't mind the random poses, just want to make sure that I also get the basics too.
But I still may try the site out.

I agree with you when it comes to toy play and have some complaints of my own, as in "not enough sexy undies" but since this is a personal preference and younger people appear to have different tastes (jeans, cotton, going commando) it's not really something that can be held against the site. I know I'm impressed with the progress it has made in two years, even though it does not have enough of my type of contents to keep me happy for very long..

That's an area I always felt a bit ambiguous about, Capn. I would like to see all models fully nude at the end of a set but don't mind half as much as you do if they keep on stockings and garter belt, as one example. As long as all the strategic spots are fully revealed I am usually happy. Best of course WOULD be your way!
