Well, wiild1..........after browsing a lot of both new and older material in this last week, I could easyly get different notions, for sure.
One thing I've noticed is that SOME new stuff has the advantage of fine HD or DVD-quality. But the more I scan through a little older stuff - stuff I missed earlier, I tend to agree with you. Here there is no difference in viewing quality if you download a 600Mb "DVD-quality" or you just take the "high" quality at ex. 200 Mb (compared).
That has over the years been the main problem for Videobox - and, alas - still is for quite a lot of download-options.
Still I'm a bit impressed with all the newer studios (like "Private") which Videobox now seems to get in the mix....anyway I've enjoyed my browsing this site more than before.

I'm certainly not a tech-wizard here - but according Windows XP, those files I mentioned are 720x480 (not 740, sorry) - there are ALSO files at 640x480.
But bottom line - the fullscreen quality has improved a lot for most newer clips...

Good first review here at PU - welcome...
I certainly agree about some of the niches with too small an amount of videos.
Then again - I do not quite agree with the Hi-Quality Downloads. Even if you go for HQ in membership - most videos are not crisp - but comes out just the same in fullscreen as the socalled standard resolution.
But anyway there's still some kind of reason why TBP and a lot of PUs have a high score on this site...

Guess your right about US-porn - and it's too bad, because US-porn was the pioneer - when no one else did the job - the french, the germans - and yes, us danes came around later - but it was only a copy of US-porn.
Things sure have changed since - not that euro-porn in general is so great, but the most US-porn is getting boring and sterotype/static (I may not have the right english words, but anyway)

Totally agree...lets hope for better porn-sites in the future...
BTW - just joined Killergram (british) again - there are some good stuff here - not all, by all means, but some fine hc-porn in between. Too bad it's so expensive. BUT it sure is somewhat of an alternative. If you do not know the site - take a look at the preview - it's alright - and the video-files are not that big - and the quality ok...

Last week I made some comments about this site - a site I've visit/been a member of several times.
And every time I get dissapointed - and still go back, weird.
Fellow PU's replied to my comment about VB - good replys.
Now I just read messmers comment - and, man - he hits the nail on the head.

BTW grapped a japaneese video-file at VB - and that one is just as crisp as can get.

It sure set some things in perspective, thanks...
Still: I have great and crisp clips in 640x480 in much better screen-quality than what I've found untill now at VB...
(Don't know if it's the same kind of line af Pix And Video: The videos at the website are/were not great in quality - I found some of the same clips ripped- I thnik, it's called - from one of their DVDs and put on the "net" - what a difference in quality)

My PC works just fine - I have several/hundreds of absolutely crisp fullscreen videos on my HD.
At Videobox I've in this term of membership downloaded some 5-6 clips i both DVD and highresolution (ex. a couple of clips with Alexis Love) There's hardly any difference in quality - and certainly not compared to the file-sizes. The same goes for some older stuff - ok I may find some better quality along the way...
Still I haven't found the upgrade worth the money.
Do you have any examples were there's really a difference, please let me know...

I get your drift. Was a big fan of the site some time ago - I also agree this is still a very good deal for us users. But I still think a 100 - as a max. is way too much, but....
As JD puts it: your answer is pretty good.
Look forward to your comming reviews with maybe more details.

Guess, you're right. But I still do not regard that a low price is enough for a high score in general. You're one of the "old timers" here and know the value of our money "for what we get". I admit, there's a huge amount of good, average and bad videos at VideoBox, but are you not getting a bit fed up with all the old and bad quality videos at this site?

I - THINK - I know what Pornomaniac means in the "Cons" -area:
"-Some videos looks a bit blurry. But I suppose the original was not better."
And that maybe is the biggest problem of the many ways great and good priced VideoBox-site: The still older and cheaper videos attached. Even if they claim some dvd-resolution, they cannot provide it.
Once the VideoBox was the overall best in its field, but the many (soon majority) of videos in bad quality is a problem.
Maybe their position as numero uno is at stake - and maybe with good reason

Have not been a member for almost half a year - and those serious accusations in this review, I've not noticed as a member, earlier..
When a member I found the site better than VideoBox - but, ok - with some of the same flaws - like the completely inefficient category search.
Still - as I remember the site - a 50 in score is not my experience - a lot of fine videos here - by all means - a lot with bad viewing quality, too.
Still: a 50? - it certainly must have gone down the drain in the last months?

Exactly - on this I quite agree. And one item I miss (just a bit, though) at VideosZ is the possibility to download parts of a video at Videobox - which I find is good video-preiew...before downloading the whole clip..

I've downloaded quite a lot of those mp4 files from the site - and yes - they are not ALL that good (some are just as you say a bit pale - or even "milky") - but then again I found some older favorite stuff that I have in my archives ass wmv or mpg - and here they (the mp4-files) are certainly an improvement...
Guess it's not that easy to re-edit videoclips from back say 2002-2005 - even 1ByDay has not succeeded in making theirs crisp.

If any doubt - check the preview...
It may take a little time to ajust to the navigation, but when you have done that, I'm sure you'll be more satisfied with this, than both Videobox and New Sensations - NS is according to my experience way behind in video-quality...
But bottomline - take the chance - for 17.95 - not that I'm promoting the site in anyway - but, man - I like it much better than Videobox - and I've found some tremendous stuff, I've never found anywhere else...just browse, bro....
