Oh, yes - I certainly wonder....every time I go back and join this site - it may take hours or a couple of days - and then it comes: Man, I've been here before and before and before - and most seems the same - as ever...
And, messmer: your input makes sense - a lot...
And why do a lot of us keep coming back? This user has problems answering that question - One possibility: a couple of new vids with new models or known favorite models in a couple of new vids for a low price - but that's maybe all - at least to this user....

BTW: yes, Squirrel - the download speed is something a noticed too. Have to used dl-manager just to get 600 kb/sec - else it's about 3-400 at the most.
Another BTW: Now they have this 'Special Notice' at the top when you log in: 'Reactivate Now'.....

Well founded review here - but the score?
Still: no matter - what matters is this accurate statement:
'Anal or not, one issue is that they really seem to focus on quantity over quality. Some of the videos are really bad.'
Cannot agree more - VideoBox seems to have this deal in my mind: Give the suckers a LOT - video-QUALITY - what's that?

It's my main objection to this site - like stated above by Monahan - AND the uncertainess (is that english?) of the quality of videos: You find what looks like a possible favorite - and then you get half-blurred videos - EVEN at the socalled DVD-quality - cannot still get over that fact...

Thanks - probably my mistanke - had this impression:
When you go search for, let's say - a certain model - and the results come up, you get those blue spots under some thumbs - and if you press this your're automatically updated and charged an the extra amount.
Also got that impression from another user who actually WAS charged - so I did not want to take the chance by pressing that blue thing.... so how does the updating work from there???

But before I go back in (join again), I'm really curious if the DVD resolution is better NOW.
All the times I've been a member, I could (mostly) not tell the difference between the DVD and the standard...in viewing quality...

Monahan, apart from the damn fine review, I think you give us some news here?
For this user anyway: That VideoBox now are up to 5 full videos a day. It look like they do NOT want VideosZ to have that privilege alone - well, that competition is to the benefit of one kind of people:
Porn-users.

Well the question was to all here at PU, sorry if it was not so clear (I think so, anyway), but I try again in my highschool (scandinavian)english:
VideoBox has 2 different prices for sign-up: Standard resolution: 9.95 og DVD-resolution: 17.95.
BUT: Signing-up for the DVD-resolution does generally NOT give you better videos than the standard-resolution - in this users opinion and - what it seems - quite a few others.
Hope it's more clear now...

Once again we got a PU to comment on the strage things with the quality of videos from VideoBox - thanks for bringing it up again, Trashman.
For a long time and during many join-ups I've had this problem with VideoBox: Oh, I'd like to spend an extra few dollars to get the socalled HD-stuff, but every time I get dissapointed.
The reason is as stated by Trashman: the resolution in socalled HD (or WMVDVD) is NOT better than ordinary socalled WMVHigh - both at times I went for the older stuff and the new videos...
So: Is there no difference at all and is it just a scam to take more money from PUs and others....?

You got me there - joined last time less than two months ago - THEN they did not have that imidiate Euro 9.95 deal - but the same amount in $.
If you look at the "thumbnail" for the frontpage before clicking on the site here at TBP, it says: $ 9.95, but when you NOW click from a european destination, it's suddenly Euro 9.95...
I'm really supprised that also Video Box is going for that unfair conversion deal - so, that site is off for this user in the future - at leat til they get the charge back to the same/even amount in dollars.
Anyway I'll try to mail them about the euro-problem, but here I do not think it'll help ...
Anyway - it sucks.

Write/mail the webmaster - ask them to give you a link from which you can join using dollars even is your're joining from Europe - it has worked for me every time...
BTW - I had no problems (without any mailing) to join Video Box in dollars from Europe..

One hint from this old "conversion-raider":
If you cannot obtain the price in US-dollars, but is charged the same amount in Euros (which is more expensive, of coruse - AND the Euro is still rising compared to the Dollar) - then write the webmaster or the Co. - they normally got a way around, so you can pay in dollars...thay also want your bussiness, from Europe, US or elsewhere...
BTW, KHAN is right here - just got a US-dollar membership at Video Box here in Europe (Scandinavia), no problems

Did another check:
No matter what hours, I get download-speed at approx: 650 kb/sec - AND it seems rather steady.
But one strange thing is: If I got 5,6,7 or maybe 8 web-windows open at the same time, thing go wrong (the browser stops running) but that might be something with my own pc and not Videobox - still It never happens with other sites...
