Excellent review, as always, E4M,
I checked out the site and it's my guess that the $4,95 was a typobecause of the sperial $14,95 TBP price.
The site permits nonmembers full access to the navigation and scene details which I really like, But the one annoyance I have with Video Box occurs on this site even more, and that is the large number of cases where the porn star name is "not available." While in some cases that can be true because the producer does not make them available, there are so many missing names that the search feature is of marginal value.
That means a serious collector has to go to another source (iafd.com, for example) to get a listing of all titles in which a porn star appears, then go back to this site and do a title search.
At $14.95 I can't complain and will probably sign up to grab a few scenes missing from my collection from Video Box and other sources that look like are in the A.M.C. collection.

Thanks for the tip. The public site is very nicely structured and it has some stuff not available on VideoBox. I especially like that it lets the casual drop-in lurker operate all of the functions (except watching the videos, of course) so an interested purchaser can be sure he is satisfied. That's rare in most preview sites.
However, the bad news. They didn't try very hard to identify the talent so one cannot do complete searches by model name. This shows a sign of laziness because they display the cast on the cover.
The good news, for what it's worth, they say they have 844 DVD's (20% of VideoBox's inventory) so searching through each and every box cover won't be as bad.
At $15 bucks (w/ the PU/TBP discount) it's worth going in to supplement my collection (which is organized by model name) with otherwise unavailable stuff. I see what my wekend project will be already.

As you I'm OK with the "null listings" (names in the dropdown with no content or incorrect content). I saw that when I played with the preview site.
The issue is the number of cases where a particular star is not mentioned at all in the list but who does have content. In my earlier post I mentioned Natasha Nice and Jenna Doll who have content in Adult.com but are not listed in the pornstar list.
Because they chose not to list those two (and others) you can only hope to stumble on them as you surf through all titles.
Mind you, it's more like a treasure hunt than a problem because they become happy discoveries when they show up unexpectedly, but I definitely would not score their tagging as 10/10. Their tag accuracy is not much better than that of VideoBox.
I have run into some other issues with the site as well, but I'll save them up for a complete review after I've given it a full workout.
But having been on the Adult.com site now for 3 days, overall I am very happy with it (I've added a lot of brand new stuff to my stash already), and it's all because of your excellent review. I was unaware of it previously. Thanks for that.

I joined the site based on TrashMan's review and on the $14.95 deal in the cross sell on Brazzers and will be posting a review after about a month.
But a few initial observations:
-Very fast download speeds (fastest I've experienced) at 10-12pm Pacific.
-The pornstar list is the longest I've seen. Unfortunately it's also among the most inaccurate as well. Many of the models that appear in their content are not listed. (The first two I looked for were Jenna Doll and Natasha Nice. Although not in the index, they both have two or more videos in the site that do not duplicate videos on VideoBox or other sites.)
-The search engine will search names and genres but there's no video title search. The good news is that it also has a boolean, key word search engine that will search by terms (names and titles) and will list the results in order of relevance. I was able to locate videos with Natasha Nice and Jenna Doll that way.
-The search engine is slow.
-The screen caps are good but are too small to gauge the desirability of the video and there is no flash feature or photo set to see a short preview. One must download the video to evaluate whether it's a keeper or not.
Last thought. As does TrashMan, I'm liking the site so far, especially because it has a lot of new stuff, and better, does not duplicate a lot of stuff I have in my stash. But I'm disappointed with the accuracy of the tagging and the omissions from the star list. I also don't care for the extra step to download that was mentioned by Trash Man in his review, but it's a minor annoyance.
But the shortcomings I mention above will impact my evaluation.

TrashMan, your scored list of 12 sites will be very useful going forward. Last night I was playing around with the Adult.com preview site's searches checking to see what babes were in their inventory and to see if there were titles that would be worthwhile additions to my stash.
My second search was for Anastasia Christ. First disappointment, she showed up with only two scenes. Second disappointment, one of the two was really Jane Darling (Big Boobs in Prague, Scene 3), also a babe but definitely not Anastasia. I already have the Anastasia scene in that video (she's actually in scene 4 and is identified by Adult.com as Laura Lion).
I really like the head shot index a lot but I couldn't find a title search function if there is one. (My fallback on VideoBox is to check iafd.com or CAVR.com to see a summary of titles for a babe, then search the database for those titles.)
The good news is that, after playing around with Adult.com last night, I went over to Brazzers to see if they posted the Friday update. And what did I find? A cross promotion ad for Adult.com that offered the site at $14.95 a month.

To me the most important part is that there is not too much duplication with other (Video Box) sites. I did a little research on some of my fave babes and found enough new stuff on Adult.com to make a one or two month membership very worthwhile.
Question.
I have found that the search function on other sites have been deteriorating as a result of accuracy issues:
VideoBox - Frequent misspelling (Veronika Raquel shows up on VB as Veronica, Racquel, and in one case Rakel) and out-and-out mis-identification has made VideoBox with their 6,000 DVD's a crapshoot in locating specific talent
X Movies and pornstar.com- Accuracy is not as bad as VB's, but the search takes you to the DVD, not to the scene.
VideosZ - Tracking VB in its accuracy deterioration.
What's your impression of Adult.com's accuracy? Have you had any problems finding the babes and/or seeing obvious errors?

Can you describe the mechanics? If you want just 20 scenes for a specific porn star, are you obligated to pay for the entire video or can you go to specific scenes?
Are the videos for sale duplicates of Video Box offerings or do they offer a different assortment?

Another bad deal.
To all webmasters out there. Scams like this hurt yoiu far more than the few extra bucks you can bring in.
Web porn has "grow up" from the earlier part of the century and your competitive edge will be quality, novelty and value. When you pull scams like this you piss off your mark, of course, but now with PornUsers.com, you will lose a large number of potential motivated customers who won't come near you.
Wake up, webmasters. There's gold and a lot of it in playing this business straight.

Outstanding review.
The sad part is that DEV8, the producer of this and several other equally stunning sites, apparently has gone dormant. I would think that, with no money being spent on new content, these guys would either reduce the high price of $30 per site per month, or go network to attract horndogs like me who would jump at the chance.
Sadly, the one site they had that I sprung for was MoreGonzo.com, a site that grabbed several clips from each of their ten regular sites, and rotated the content monthly.
When I win the lottery I plan to sign up for all ten sites at a total cost of $299.50 per month.
Until then I'll wait for some good business sense to creep in and see them get smart (the way DDF Prods did last summer when they networked all of their outstanding sites).

Although I have yet to invest in any of Dev8's sites, reviews like this one have me saving up to give one or more of them a go. I just wish these folks would network some or all of their sites...even if at a higher price.

After reading this review I checked out the preview site and agree totally with Jutti24 about the navigation. I wish all sites would follow the example set by this site, but not just the navigation, also the short descriptions that appear for each model.

Turboshaft, I'm giving serious thought to taking the plunge on a 3 month membership to ALSScans, especially after reading rearadmiral's review of ALSScans today.
The ALSScans site has been on my bucket list for years but I'm tiring of the suck, fuck and jerk stuff and want to return to my real interest, looking at superbly attractive models in professionally produced videos while enjoying themselves.
Can you tell from the site if ALSAngels is still available at the $9.95 add-on price and if that deal is permanent with longer term memberships?

The site has been on the top of my bucket list for a long time; one reason is because it had good preview stuff on Andie Valentino. (She's not in the model list right now, which means I should jump in before others disappear.

Boy am I with you on that. I make it a point to always use the PU link when I'm ready to sign up for a site. They (PU) earned my loyalty big time to the point where I might even sign up via PU even if it costs me an extra $5.

I have gone through their preview site several times. Having been burned in the past by terrific preview sites where the actual site is not even close to the promises, when I read the comments and reviews for ALS written earlier I got the feeling that there was some hesitation by others. You, on the other hand, sounded enthusiastic so I put ALS on my long term list to consider again in spring 2009.
That's why I asked if the updating and improvements you reported were continuing.
Clearly they have a first class site and clearly the time is right to sign up.

Excellent review.
Your score doesn't match what I'll score it when I've finished my review, but you did an excellent job of explaining why you scored it as you did which, if always done the way you did, adds a lot to the value of P. U. reviews.
I, personally, like a variety of insertions, because that means the girl is enjoying herself, showing off her body and giving me a good opportunity to enjoy looking at her private parts.
While fornication is also fun to watch, seeing a hairy male asshole staring back at me while his sausage is doing its thing in the babe's vagina or butt hole, does nothing at all for me.
That said, each of us has our individual preferences. I really am turned off by excessive and/or poorly located tattoos (example, a lousily oriented script "F" on Friday's lower groin area). I just cannot watch a porn vid with excessive tat's for more than a minute. But some people love tat's.
Your experience with ALS Scans matches mine for an all tattoo site I wasted my money on. The site had good PU reviews and a high average score but it took me about an hour after signing up to put through the cancellation.
It's all about what floats your boat and when people post good descriptive reviews like yours, it really helps the decision process.

Interesting bit of trivia.
The babe identified on FTV Girls as Danielle is a big natural breasted woman with a really great personality. Love those boobies. But as you may know, FTV has no hardcore and because Rob at FTV is setting up a new site for Danielle, I'm assuming that she's under contract with FTV.

I understand the search feature aspect and I wish sites other than VB and American Vice used it.
But my beef with VB is that they are very sloppy in identifying the talent. They frequently misspell a name, thus leaving it out of the search, or they just post a scene with no names of the talent at all, thus making the scene a "lost scene" for all intents and purposes.
Hopefully those negative aspects were not carried over from American Vice.
