They specialize in crazy insertions and weird sex-toys. Frankly, they're my favorite porn site and I don't care for that stuff much either. I think they're great because they have great models and shoot them spectacularly well and show their personalities and their models clearly enjoy working for them (though I've heard from models that working for ALS Scan is much harder work than it is for most sites), and they get the best out of their models. Their girl/girl stuff is awesome. They have really fun and unique BTS stuff. You don't need to be all into the crazy insertions to love this site, that's for sure.

That would make complete sense for Zoliboy to be there. He's worked as a Production Assistant to Sandy for years, and Sandy is Alex's agent when he's working in her neck of the woods, so you're eyes are holding up well.
In terms of re-mastering photos, I don't know how much more ALS is going to be doing of that, because Alex has said that it just doesn't work out for them financially. They don't get many members off of their remastering of photos, he said a short time ago, and since it's quite time consuming and expensive, they aren't going to make it any priority. I recommend e-mailing for more specific info about stuff that you're particularly interested in - this was info in one of the Director's blogs.

I don't know if you read Alex's Director's Blog today, but the first updates from the Caribbean trip - including lots of public nude beach action - will be released on June 2nd. From everything that I've been hearing from Alex and the participating models - one good use of Twitter - this trip was really fantastic. And Alex makes the point that members are needed to finance trips like this - the economy strikes back.

I'm not sure how this is uncharted waters for ALS Scan - they had that BTS scene with Tanner doing her boy/girl shoot for Club Sandy that included all manner of penetration.
This is the first shoot that they have done where they booked the male talent, I guess.
This may partly be their response to the market and it may be them wanting to go with the flow with their models.
One of the most memorable parts of this last year's Caribbean beach shoot for me was Tanner crawling up to Jeremy while he was doing vid, asking him "You want to play never-never land?" He said, "What's that?" and Tanner said "Well, you've never been in my mouth before" and went for his cock. Jeremy cut away with the camera but I wish he hadn't. They're booking pretty naughty girls who like playing with cock and are good at it and perhaps they're feeling like they ought to bring 'em on and see how it goes.
I dunno. It doesn't upset me if they get hot material. I have to say that others who have ventured into hard-core don't do so well.
Nubiles.net's boy/girl scenes aren't good. Sarah Peachez' blow-job scenes aren't exciting, neither are Jana Cova's. Phil-Flash's ventures into boy/girl aren't as good as his solo-girl & girl/girl stuff at all. But none of them have gone to only-boy/girl, so I feel like they ought to do what they want to do because the lack of restrictions probably makes them happier about doing their sites.
I feel the same way about ALS Scan - maybe their boy/girl stuff will be mediocre, but if it keeps them feeling excited and refreshed about doing the site, then their other material will be better for it.

Sites seem to vary about the labeling of re-mastered material. ALS Scan has heavily promoted some re-mastered releases - put them out as bonuses. I thought they looked like crap, personally. Perhaps enough people did that they decided to just remaster some stuff that wouldn't look like crap - the stuff I mentioned above looks good - and don't make a big deal about it.
FTV Girls has promoted some re-releases, I've noticed.
1-by-Day used to do clear labelling, then they stopped - probably for the marketing reason.
I suspect that for the majority of the porn-loving public, new is considered better than "back in the day" or other re-packaging of older material.

No - you can download zip files of the photo-sets, but I haven't seen anything mentioned on the site about these CD's. I would bet that they still have all of the photo-sets up at the site if they did previously. So you can get them again in zips.

On 3/02, they released a Brea BTS vid - don't know if it's a re-release but it's not newly shot
On 2/28/10, they released an Angelica Crow photo set - I believe most of her stuff had been released on ALS Angels - so these were probably unreleased extra pics, though not newly shot material
On 2/26/10, they released a Shelby & Amy Lee vid - again either a re-remaster or not, it's not newly shot
On 2/24/10, they released a vid from their St Johns trip - probably a remaster
On 2/16/10, they released an Angie vid that was probably a remaster
2/12/10, the St Martin vid is probably a remaster
2/08/10 - the Kylie vid is probably a re-master
2/02/10 - the Tori vid is probably a remaster
So that's an idea of the frequency
So from 2/02 to 3/02 there were 8 posts that were re-releases/re-masters or otherwise not newly shot and 28 posts that were newly shot/released material - one of which was a bonus with almost 2 hours of vid.
With ALS Scan, they release material based on popularity as well as the owner's tastes - so they do have some material that I would classify in the new category, such as the 2007 Caribbean trip HD vid because it was a new release - but that's 1 out of 28

I wouldn't be surprised if some day they do a re-design of the whole site behind the scenes and spring it on us - I could imagine fantasy navigation where you put your cursor over a pic of a model and get a few second of vid of one of her hottest scenes.
Maybe if they feel that they've done all the upgrading needed for a while in their content and equipment, they'll turn their eyes to the design.
Re-designs, though, can be one of those "be careful what you wish for" propositions - Babes.tv, for instance had an older-looking site, did a re-design and had a less distinctive looking site at the same time that their content fell off a cliff - so it wasn't exactly a cause for joy.
In the main, my view towards the overall design of a site is "if it ain't broke, don't worry about it." The key thing that ALS Scan needed to do was to get their navigation in hand - and they've done that in the main, since you can now see all of the solo content of a model by clicking on her pic - and get pointed to the group and bonus shoots that she was involved in.

It's far from my fave ALS Scan material (that would be their Caribbean trip stuff), but I love Tanner and she looks great here. I'm glad that they are doing more different stuff and it's fun to get a BTS of a glamour-porn site shoot (Tanner's doing a shoot for ClubSandy.com in this scene).

Editing to try to avoid repeating what Sarah said above
She makes the point of how much more material thay shoot than can be posted on a regular schedule - so why don't the less popular models show up more?
They wouldn't be as successful if they were posting the less popular models in place of the more popular models so it wouldn't be in their interest to do so.
The thing to do with ALS Scan, since you say that you know that's how they work, is to make your voice heard. When you like a model, e-mail them, make sure they know. If there's material that you've been waiting for but haven't seen, e-mail them, make sure they know. Because, as you and I both know, it's not just the order of scenes, but when or if the scenes show up at all.
There have been times when a model was mentioned in the Director's Blog or a Casting Special and then you never see her material because they're more excited about other models and so are the members.
I'm encouraging them to put up some Anita Pearl stuff from the Caribbean '09 trip. Every pic I've seen of her and every moment of vid, she looks fantastic, but they haven't put up anything featuring her - apparently they have quite a bit, so I'm hoping to see more of her very soon - If not, I'll keep asking.

Releases at ALS Scan are very much dependent on member feedback - if they're hearing from members that they want to see more more more of a certain model, they'll put up her stuff fast. If they don't hear from members, it can be a long time - a year or more - before more of her scenes are put up.
Not a problem to me.

The only girl that had been on a previous trip was Jana Jordan

They're continuing to upgrade older content. Their new vids have a download option of 1920 X 1080 HD WM. There's nothing that gets worse at this site, in my opinion. It continues to be my favorite site. You can learn a lot about what's there by using their tour, which is pretty detailed & extensive.
