The same sort of thing happened to me a few days ago.
I joined the Devils Film network, and was signed up for a separate trial membership to Porn Access. The Porn Acess membership was only $1.95 for 3 days, but it would renew at around $30 after 3 days unless cancelled. I looked for, but did not see, any pre-checked agreement for a trial membership.
But I was lucky that I was only charged $1.95 for the trial membership I did not want. I called customer service immediately, told them I did not want the trial membership, did not see the pre-checked agreement. Customer service would not cancel my charge of $1.95 for the trial, but they did cancel my trial membership.
I never used the trial membership.
But it was only $1.95.
I got a message from my credit card company to contact the credit card company. They wanted to know if the charge for $1.95 was valid, or if there was fraud (evidently, they have a program flagging charges by the billing company Porn Access uses). I told them the charge was valid, because I didn't want to get a new credit card number and whatever else I would have to explain about the charge.
You would think that we would be experts about these pre-checked agreements. But I sometimes wonder that sometimes the agreement might not even be shown on the sign-up page, because I was looking for the pre-checked line, and did not see it.
Live and learn. But what can we learn if we honestly don't see the pre-checked agreement?
Years ago, soon after I joined PU, Anonymous gave me a negative trust vote.

For me, the link at TBP (and PU) to the site leads directly to the actual site, with no PDF file. The preview site itself has lots of hot links to different areas, as well as a small, short sample video that plays continuously. I don't see how they would put that into a PDF file without a lot of effort.
So my guess (and I'm no computer expert) is that this is a problem with your machine. I know that my own PC (and software) can give me problems viewing different sites, where sometimes I can't get the thumbnail pictures at different sites to load.

Although I have a 200 Mbps connection with Specrum, I watch on a WiFi connection, so my speeds average about 13 to 20 Mbps.
This means I select the lowest definition and lowest bitrate available when streaming, and also for downloading. The low streaming choices are to prevent the video from stuttering during play.
On a downloaded file, I could chose a higher definition, and a higher bitrate, which should not affect stuttering playback, but higher definition and higher bitrate would increase file size significantly, and my hard drive space is limited, and I don't want to keep buying newer hard drives to store these files.
Also, watching the files on my older laptop, does not increase the clarity of the visuals or improve the sound, so larger files with increased definition and bitrate are wasted on my computer setup.
The same holds true when selecting file size for photosets: I can't tell the difference, visually, from a low, medium or high definition photoset at MetArt or other fine photo sites, on my older laptop computer, so saving a high definition photoset of a favorite models is basically wasted space on my hard drive.
Even when I switch to a desktop computer with a 27" monitor, I still can't tell a visual difference between a high definition photoset and a low definition photoset from MetArt.
I assume that is because of the program I am using to display each photo.
If I blew up the photo (expanded the view), then the differences between low and high definition would be noticeable. Actually, I just read an article on the internet that stated speed requirements for different tasks:
