Yeah, your comment pretty much says it all. I would still recommend the site for porn newbies to download a bunch of decent looking older stuff because the trial is cheap. Other than that, it probably isn't worth more than the trial orice to look at the content.

I've looked at this site for a while and finally did the $2.95 trial. If you have been downloading porn for any length of time you'll quickly notice that this stuff has been around for years. None of the content, from what I could tell, is exclusive. For me it was a trip down memory lane and an opportunity to download a few things that were wiped out years ago. There are 100 boy/girl sets with about 1/3 of those being videos; about 150 lesbian sets and hundreds of solo model sets.
For newbies who don't mind 90's looking and dressed euro models, I reccommend the site. For those who have been around a while I would join only if you haven't seen this stuff before. Generally, I only found a few vids and picture sets that I haven't seen before but I'm sure would be on another site like Karupspc or similar site.
I did like the multiple picture sizes (large typically goes slightly bigger than full screen), zip features, and model directory. I did come across some models when using the search function that weren't in the directory.
I have noticed when looking at the site previously that there is content rotation. Also, the format is pretty much the same for the models and it can get repetitive.
If there was exclusive content or more boy/girls sets I would score this site in the mid 80's. As it is now, it's worth the trial.
I will note that when you cancel you have an option to continue for $19.95 per month. |

Hi Peterhd and welcome to PU. Just wanted to let you that you're going to catch some flak for giving a site a perfect 100 rating when they don't even update any more. As a basic pointer, reviews generally have specifics like the number of sets available, types of vids available, restrictions on downloadable content and stuff of that nature along with opinions. As your review currently stands, its mostly about personal preferences. As such, your review is more along the lines of a comment than a review but to each their own. You're going to have to provide a lot more information about why this site should be considered a "100" in order for your review to be taken seriously by people who visit PU.

Thanks for the tibbit o' porn there. After all, who doesn't like free porn. After looking at the signup page, I note that you have to call an 800 number in order to cancel (don't know if that's entirely true or not but it's what the fine print says). Still, sounds like it might be worth checking out if the trial is not limited (no mention of full access on the signup page).

I was going to say congrats on finally getting to 100 points, then I saw it was for "Plumper Pass". WTF? Did you already download the whole internet except for this? Was there nothing else to download for your personal Library of Congress besides this, kitties chasing empty boxes, rejected episodes of The Waltons or TLC's 74 hour documentary about how estrogen fucks up post menopausal women? I was trolling for new sites to hit and found that 18yearsold (part of the network) is available along with 5 other sites for $18 on a TBP offer. The TBP stats say there are no hi rez pics so I was wondering if the hi rez pics you noted apply throughout the site (including 18yearsold) or just on some sites and roughly how far back in time the high rez pics go back to. Thanks.

This guy's excuses really do take the cake. I only had limited space in my review but this guy also came up with the lines that his support guy in charge of updates was trapped in a snowstorm in Canada; that a hosting service took him for $30,0000 and abandoned him; and, a month or two later, had the audacity to claim that all the problems were now fixed. All I can say is that his ego seems a lot bigger and better than his site.

This one was pretty much like a bad trip down memory lane. If you remember what porn sites looked like 10 years with broken links, one size fits all vids and photos and minimal web design then you have this site.
I took the trial primarily for povporn.com There were about 30 to 40 girls there. Of those, about 12 had better pics (1020 x 660) as well as good quality vids. The rest had 800 x 600 pics with low quality vids that have to be downloaded in segments. Two other sites only had about a dozen sets each. The main emphasis of the network is on Petersgirls which had the most content but was almost all softcore. By the time I got there, I was pretty much "done" with the whole thing and didn't look at much.
I got a good laugh at the Lapdancegonebad.com website. None of the photo links worked and there 8 videos. The main page had about 24 months of updates. There were no updates on any of the page. Instead there were some webmaster postings dating back to 2006 trying to calm customer complaints about bad links, slow updates, etc. His excuse then was bad support staff and people taking advantage of him. The next month, though, he was bragging about he was going to build a porn empire and turned down a $1 million offer for all his content. Apparently, he "relaunched" in the summer of 2007 but the same problems seem to have continued.
Basically, this network is a waste of time even for the trial offer. Let's just say I took one for the team here. |

This incarnation of the Private website started in 2010 and consists of 251 pages of updates as of August 2017. This site is really a tale of 2 halves. Keep in mind that the date a scene is posted is not when it was shot. Thus, the oldest 125 pages is mostly content shot in the 90's or early 2000's on VHS and converted in 480 digital format. Ouch! Because Private was mostly about producing porn in exotic locales a lot of the early scenes suffer from poor lighting, poor sound, not so special special effects, tons of shitty background music, and the then European obsession with endless closeup shots. Because some scenes were shot in a foreign language Private decided to have the dialogue and sex sound overdubbed on some of these. I challenge you to not laugh as a low quality, poorly lit scene streams hideous overdubbed sex sounds from a double penetration with smooth jazz blaring in the background. Some early scenes get recycled too.
Things finally change with roughly the updates from 2013 onwards (the most recent half). You get HD vids on most updates. By 2014 you start getting reasonable picture counts with sizes coming in at 1600x1060 (96dpi) with some sets getting up to 1500x2300. 4K vids arrive in late 2015 but you can only stream at 4k, not download. They also get away from the obsession with closeups and some of the ultra exotic locales in favor of more set work with higher production values.
Here's some specs:
PICS: Not all scenes have pics (even recent ones) and most are at 1000x1500 (96dpi) with 1600x1060 sizes or larger coming since about 2014. The pic count offered by TBP and the Private is exaggerated. The early scenes only offered a few dozen pics at best and the majority of pics are mostly the obligatory pre-scene pose shots. Starting around 2012/13 you get more scenes with reasonable pic counts (80-200 per scene) without the endless posing. Like most sites, the vids typically show more action than the pics. All scenes with pics have zip downloads although file names are just a series of letters and numbers. The photo viewer sucks though, you only get 8 pics per page and have to frequently jump though a lot of pages to see if you want to download the zip. Pics aren't always in order either when viewing in browser or opening the zip file. The pics tend to be good quality but limited size makes this an iffy site for pic lovers.
VIDS: As noted above, a lot of the early content is just old standard media shots or VHS shots converted into 480p. 480 is only download option for about 40% of the content, otherwise you have options of 480, 720, 1080 or phone. HD comes along in 2013 but, suspiciously, you have 720 or 1080p as options – no transition from 720 to 1080 or “i” to “p” on the HD. I didn't dig into this deeply but given the age of some of these scenes there is no way they could have been shot at 1080p. Thus, my claim of “psuedo HD” on some scenes applies. Download speeds were good though and the file sizes were reasonable – I download mostly in 720 and half hour scenes were usually 500-700 mb. Scenes range from a few minutes to almost an hour, most fall into 15-30 minutes.
Navigation needs some work. Pagination is limited, but you can manually adjust for page numbers to jump around as needed. Model info is limited. Tags are too generic for any meaningful search and some scenes are mislabelled or tagged as well. As noted above, the picture viewer needs work. The inbrowser stream player works well and has the pop-up screen shot available on the time bar for most videos although how well it works varies from scene to scene. Really the only way to view this site is to page by page.
You signup (less prechecked cross sale) through rocketgate. To cancel you have to submit a support ticket. I was canceled within minutes but I did a confirmation email. Private also makes pretty clear that they don't do support.
A lot of the older content is endemic of what Euro porn used to be: closeups, background music, actors looking at the camera, and very male-centric in that the hot girls are really just willing props with an orifice for you to stick your meat into them. Often, if it went into one orifice it was going into all three. More recently it's a lot more reflective of what you see on DDF, 21st sextury and teenmegaworld. I stunned to see some heartcore type as recent updates. The scenes also have more of a story arc (no dp's within minutes of a girl meeting 2 strangers in the woods) and less emphasis on exotic locations and more on production value. While the production value rises some of what made Private Private has disappeared. It's less focused on exotic locales and scenes with lots of hardcore action and is now more generic in that the scenes now look like they could be shot by any of the major Euro companies.
Overall, the site gets most of it's points from the fact that there is so much content. It's too big to fail but could be better. |
