You make a good point: why would anyone but a porn collector subscribe to a site? Otherwise, the pirate sites will get the job done. I wonder what motivated Mofos to go this route? I suspect that their business will drop substantially because of this. The worst of it is that it doesn't appear that the site is being very open about this major change and so they're likely to snag some members who are unaware of the change. if it weren't for you pointing this out I may have signed up again and I would be pissed to find it was streaming only.
Others have pointed out that you can buy software that will capture streaming video but I joined a site a couple of years ago not knowing that it was streaming only and my software wouldn't capture the videos even though it does with most streaming. That site wasn't open about being streaming-only either and when I posted that information here at PU I had a nasty email from the site owner threatening to sue me for telling the truth. It wasn't like I needed an additional reason to never go back to that site but he sure gave me one.

I have to confess that like others here I figured blueron had made a mistake. Maybe there was a problem with a cookie that could be solved by clearing his history or some other simple fix. It simply didn't occur to me that this could be accurate. So Holy Crap this is bad news. I've joined Mofos many times over the past few years but I think it's safe to say that with this news I won't be joining again.
I have no idea how Mindgeek plans to keep the site going with only streaming. Yes, I realize that there is lots of software available to capture a streaming video but for the company to just stop downloads is a big deal.
But here's a thought: maybe we're a lot different from the usual member. I think it's fair to say that most of us here are porn collectors rather than just porn users. A porn user may be just looking for a quick release whereas a porn collector may be compiling scenes with a certain theme or model. Streaming may be okay for a porn user, but as a porn collector I want to download it and keep it in my collection.
I'll be watching to see if other Mindgeek sites have done this too. (And I should add that until I know for sure there is virtually no chance that I'll join any Mindgeek sites since they really haven't been all that open about this huge change.)

Great review. Welcome to this site. I think you'll find that things seem a bit slow around here but that's partly due to the owners preparing for a major re-work soon. But there still are a group who add reviews and participate in forum topics and I hope that you stick around and do that too.

Thanks for posting this review.
I had a membership here a few months ago and really liked it, but I didn't seem to have the technical problems that you had so that would certainly have changed how I rated the site.
Subjectively I liked the network but it did have flaws. I liked Real Slut Party, but then I like sites like that, and I found Pervs on Patrol fun to watch even though it's obviously staged.
It's too bad that you had technical problems.
As for your comments on the bad camera work, I figured that some of that might be on purpose as they were going for a certain feel. But I could have just been too generous too.

I wonder why so many videos were dumped? I re-read my own review and I would have taken an accurate count of the videos on the site and provided information on the update schedule so with simple math anyone could see that they got rid of a lot of stuff. I really don't understand why. I wonder if some of the rituals depicted in the videos (whether there was any realism to them or not) caused some pressure from the Mormons. That seems unlikely since someone would have to admit to watching porn...

This site needs some explanation because it isn't like anything else I’ve seen and it really doesn’t lend itself well to any categories. It’s fair to say that the sex itself is fairly standard; this isn't a fetish site in the true sense. The porn is what you’d get in any mainstream site: boy/girl, girl/girl, 18-22, MILF and groups. What makes the site unique is the setup for the scenes and how much effort the site puts into making that setup seem real.
The site is, as the name makes clear, about Mormons. Sure, there are sites that play up a conceit and allow the viewer to imagine that the scene is what it says it is. A good example is the recent use of incest in porn. But unless you’ve just arrived on this planet you know that the actors are just acting – they aren't really related. To further illustrate my point, you’d have to believe, for example, that Megan Rain and Brandon Iron are related in real life when any avid porn collector knows they are professional porn stars.
But Mormon Girlz does things differently. The scenes attempt to make things seem much more realistic, with the locations, clothes and even setup being realistic. One thing that makes it easier for the site to do this is that given the secrecy of the Mormon Church to outsiders any of this could be true. How do I know that they don’t have these sexually charged anointings of women when they hit 18 or 19? The use of traditional Mormon undergarments is a way that the site blurs the line between fantasy and reality too. For those of us with little or no knowledge of the inner workings of the Church all of this could be real. (The rituals, not the scenes.)
Another way that the site helps create the feeling that these scenes could be real is by the use of just-off-mainstream stars. Don’t get me wrong – the site has beautiful women but they aren't the big stars of the day. Using the biggest stars like Jillian Janson or Jada Stevens would make it immediately clear that this is all fantasy. So to help maintain that they have models who for whatever reason haven’t wanted to be big stars. The site has models such as Lily Cade, Bethany Skye, Gwen Stark and Cadence Lux. These are all stunning porn stars but to the average viewer who steals more porn than he buys they may be unknowns. To keep the fantasy going, the models are listed by names different from their stage names. So, for example, Cadence Lux is called “Sister Kara” on the site.
The site doesn’t have the models perform just one scene. All of the models have a series of scenes with various rituals and those usually include b/g and g/g. It seems that a group of models will be signed on to do multiple scenes and then after those scenes are done a new group is signed up.
So what are the scenes like? This is subjective, but given the setup, which usually has some power imbalance within a ritual, I think they are hot bordering on incendiary.
The site itself is what you’d expect in any porn site. The videos are available for streaming or download. The streaming is only in one resolution and it seems much lower than you’d expect. Downloads are available in four resolutions: 640x360 (600kb/s), 960x540 (1300kb/s), 1280x720 (2200kb/s) and 1920x1080 (5000kb/s). All scenes are 23fps. I downloaded the 1080p scenes and they look good. Not great, but good.
There are currently 135 scenes available and the site updates with the addition of one new scene per week.
The site has some annoying flaws in how it’s laid out. For one thing, selecting the video tab and then trying to advance through the pages shows those links don’t work. If you go to the “Girls” tab, though, there is a separate tab at the top of the page that allows you to access all updates. But you have to click “more” many times to get to the earliest scenes. This isn't a deal-breaker, but it’s annoying.
The site supports download managers but only seems to allow a limited number of scenes (8 or so) to be queued up at one time. I also noticed on several occasions that rather than the download starting I got a message that the download was waiting for an available socket. I’m not sure what that means, but I’m guessing that since this is a small site in a rare niche that they can’t handle a large amount of traffic at once.
This is a personal preference and I understand that the site tries to maintain the fantasy that this is real, but as a collector who catalogues my collection by models I would like to know the stage names of all the models.
The bottom line is that the pros of the site far outweigh the cons. The pros are a unique site with some hot porn featuring a variety of models. The scenes go beyond what you’d expect to create the air of reality and they seem so real as to be a bit creepy – in the sexy sense. The cons are minor and could be easily fixed. I highly recommend giving the site some serious consideration. |

Wow! This site looks great. I don't know how I missed the review that A.K. posted at TBP a while back. This site has a lot of what I like: redheads and a bit of the creepy factor to name a couple. I'll definitely be joining this site soon.

My thoughts are pretty much the same as yours - I grew up when porn was taboo so seeing a breast in a movie was a big deal. Obviously these days I can see pretty much anything I want any time I want to see it. I think if I were to join this site I'd get bored pretty quick. Adding to this is the fact that I simply don't buy into the whole celebrity culture.

I figure that the new NA business model may be to fleece as many people as they can until the whole thing collapses and then they'll just shut it down. I'm being only slightly sarcastic here... Surely no one who has read anything about their new subscription model would even consider joining now. One downside that I can think of is that someone who has been into pirated porn finally decides to do the right thing and pay for it, joins this shitshow and figures every porn site is as much of a scam.
I had been a fan of and regular subscriber to NA for a long time but unless this gets reversed I won't be back.
On a positive note, this is a good example of the value of PornUsers - we're able to spread the word about scams like this.

I think most members here would agree with me that for a site to be good it has to have more than just decent porn. The site needs to be easy to navigate and the material needs to be reasonably accessible. That latter part is where My Public Dream fails. In 2012 having download speeds that top out at 300kb/s doesn’t cut it, especially when the site offers some files that are getting close to 1GB in size.
The site’s premise is simple: take attractive Eastern European models and get them naked in public. Most of the scenes appear* to add some boy/girl hardcore to the mix.
I’m a big fan of this genre and one constant issue with it is that if it isn’t done right then all the heat and titillation can get lost. Unfortunately this site seems to* make this mistake. I think European public nudity sites tend to lose some heat and titillation simply because public nudity isn’t the huge taboo that it is in North America. The problem is that the public nudity can just seem common and normal. The best public nudity scenes (in my opinion) show the model as being nervous and excited at the same time while being nude in public. (As an aside, I noticed that one American NIP site, Nude in L.A. appears to be gone, at least temporarily.) My Public Dreams falls into the trap of making public nudity seem like an everyday occurrence. It might seem hard to do, but a lot of NIP (Nude in Public) sites can take an attractive and nude model and make that unerotic.
The site design is also pretty simple and basic. That’s not a bad thing though. There are tabs for updates, videos and photo sets. Once on those respective pages there is a single column of scenes that can be downloaded. For the videos, clicking the download link opens another page with the download or streaming options, while you can open the photo set for single pictures or download a zip right from the main photo page. There is no discernable search function, but it really isn’t needed either.
As of this writing there are 56 videos and 80 photo sets available. The site seems to update weekly with one photo set OR one video being added each week.
The site is modern in that they do offer multiple ways to see the videos. On the scene page there is the option to stream it there and there are download links below that. The videos are available in WMV format (codec 8) at 1280x720, 720x400 and 480x272. Mpeg files are available at 384x240. There are resolutions available for mobile devices too. I give full marks to this small site for offering HD, but keep in mind that they don’t offer any reasonable access to that material. The download speeds are so slow that it is practically impossible to download the HD material unless you’re very, very patient.
I only downloaded the 720x400 size (which still took 15+ minutes to download a 300MB file). The reported size is what you get, but subjectively they don’t look great. I noticed some pixilation. I can’t speak for the other formats or sizes, but the 720x400 plays at 25fps.
Adding to the grief of slow download speeds is that the site doesn’t seem to allow download managers. I normally use Free Download Manager to queue up scenes to be downloaded one at a time, but I couldn’t use that. I had to download within my browser, which made the download speeds even slower.
One problem with the few scenes that I did download and watch is that the camera work is poor. Like a lot of NIP sites they have to rely on a handheld camera. The camera movement is at best distracting and at worse nausea inducing. The last thing I need is for my brain to start associating naked women with the need to barf.
Photos are also available, as singles or as zips. The resolution is low though, at only 800x444. I’m not a huge photo collector, but when I collect photos I want them to be better quality than this.
For fans of the NIP niche, it can be hard to find new material so you may be tempted to join this site. There may be some excellent material here, but I didn’t find it. The slow download speeds are this site’s Achilles Heel and until that gets fixed I wouldn’t recommend a membership here.
* My apologies to anyone relying on this review to make a decision as to whether or not to buy a membership. Normally I spend a lot of time with a site and the material on it and can make definitive statements. I have to confess that I can’t do that here. I found the slow download speeds so annoying that I didn’t download a lot. I cancelled my membership pretty quickly and left disappointed. |

I second standards motion that PU staff please do deactivate any of the Naughty America pages here. Yes, they are a company that none of us should do business with these days, but the best way to communicate that is to keep these pages up. I understand that a lot of new people have joined PU recently and this might help some of them understand how great PU/TBP is and how they can contribute to make it even better. I'm sure all of us prefer to see great reviews of great sites, but it's important that we can still write great reviews of sites we should all avoid (at least until they see the light and end this nonsense.)

When I saw this site listed as a new site on TBP I signed up. I’m a big fan of collecting ‘firsts,’ and especially collecting first anals. I knew this would be a small site since it was just starting out but I had high hopes that it would develop into a great site for this rare niche. And the fact that the site is affiliated with Porn Pros gave me some comfort too. I went into the membership with my eyes open and the scenes are good but unless one fatal flaw is fixed this site isn't worth the membership right now.
There are currently only nine scenes uploaded. For a new site in a narrow niche that’s to be expected though. The problem specific to this site is that it appears that they only add one new scene per month. When the site started they added one new scene every three days and then they went a month before a new scene was added. Unless they pick up the pace this site will be a low value for a while.
The scenes themselves are well done. All of the models are typical porn cupcakes in that they are young (18-20), petite and natural. Several of the models will be added to my list of favorites and I hope to see a lot more of them in the future.
Of the nine scenes one is billed as the model’s first scene ever, one is the model’s first interracial scene, two are each model’s first (vaginal only) gang bang and five are the model’s first anal scenes.
The videos are available in streaming or as a download. Streaming is available in two resolutions. Downloads are available as MP4s in 1080p, 720p and 480p, as a 480p MPG1 and as a 720p WMV. I downloaded the 720p MP4s and those come in at 1280x720 and 2,600 kb/s. While the bitrate is low there is no pixilation at all and the video looks sharp.
Photos are available too – as singles or as a zip. The zipped photos are 1500x1000.
The site allows download managers and I didn’t have any issue using one. Download speeds varied from average to poor – I often saw download speeds drop below 1MB/s. (The site seems to be affiliated with Porn Pros and I have that same issue there too.)
So would I recommend the site? Probably not, unless you really need to have one or more of the scenes. Even with the TBP discount this site isn't a good value and unless they start updating more often it’ll be a long time before it is a good value. This is an under-served niche and the site could be a great stand-alone site if it was updating more frequently. As it is now, however, the site would be far a better option as part of a larger network. |
