Great review lk2fireone! I really do wish they would completely rethink their approach to the videos. You are correct in saying that its a wasted opportunity. Maybe they could try to fill the slow sexy striptease niche--something that's almost entirely absent out there in porn land. I've been a satisfied $99 a year member for going on 3 years. At 8 bucks and change for a month it almost feels like stealing.

You know lk2fireone, when I read your post, i was thinking to myself "I wish they had setting to make all the gallery photos show up on one page, like Femjoy does". So I go over to the site, log in, and start clicking around, and damnit, they do. I never knew all this time. It's so much easier to browse through the gallery when you don't have to click through 7 or 8 pages of thumbnails. Thanks dude.

I also got the promo email a while back, but haven't joined. So today I wanted to check out the free tour. I went to Google, and entered Rylsky Art nude photography. The first entry that looked legitimate was an address rylskyart.net (note: DO NOT go there). I clicked on it, and it appears to be a fake site. Even more alarming, when I clicked on their models link, it tried to download a file to my PC. I got a Windows security message asking if I wanted to download the file or save it. Of course I closed it out, and went to Met-Art, and logged in there. Strange thing is when I accessed the real site (which is Rylskyart.com) through Met-Art, I got several of the same download warning messages when I clicked on several of the letter links from the Models page. So now I'm thinking that maybe the site isn't quite ready for prime time. I plan to email support at Met-Art and let them know about my experience.

Omberman, I gotta criticize you too, when you say that there aren't many attractive models on Met-Art. Seriously dude, do you need glasses? Not every model there is a 10, but you would be hard pressed to find any girl there that's less than a 7. There are many, many girls there who are in the 8, 9, 10 category.

Met-Art has a huge number of very attractive models (2700+). A new user could easily spend months going through the entire site. They usually have 4 to 6 updates a day. Excellent photography overall. This is primarily a photo site. They have videos, but they are very soft core. It is also primarily a solo girl site--the occasional "lesbian" sets are really just 2 girls posing together. Another thing worth noting (not necessarily a "pro") is that their Met Live Cams is just their name branded version of Streamate. I don't think there is any advantage to accessing it through their website, and I've only seen one Met-Art model there (Malena Morgan). The main attraction here is the huge volume of quality photos of beautiful naked women. |

The videos are way too soft core for my taste. They are really just an extension of the photo sets. There is no masturbation and not enough explicitness in the videos for me. The site seems to have a rule against the models touching themselves, so there is no pussy spreading here. Too many models don't do explicit pussy photos. The 2-girl photo sets are not lesbian photo sets--they are pretend lesbian photo sets. There is rarely any actual kissing, and no pussy play etc. I guess the site has a rule against actual sex. I know thats their niche, but it does get annoying sometimes. Many other sites have shown that it can be done tastefully. Some of the photo sets do suffer from less than top quality lighting (this seems to be an issue with some of the European photogs). A lot of the sets have too many redundant photos--by that I mean photos that are nearly identical. This makes many of the sets unnecessarily large. Some user submitted search tags do not seem to work at all. |

Probably the best soft-core porn site out there, with a huge number of very attractive girls, quality photography, and lots of daily updates.
One month is nowhere near enough time to explore all of the content. In fact, narrowing down the 2700+ models to find the ones you like is the most problematical aspect of Met-Art. Their search engine uses 9 standard tags (e.g. hair color, breast size, etc), and this is useful to a degree. They also have user submitted search tags which potentially could be much more useful. For example, you can search using the term "beach". However, many of the user submitted search tags do not return all sets that have that tag. One example is the term "perfect pussy". Its in the 100 most popular user submitted tags, but when you enter it, only 15 sets are found, all of which have the word "perfect" in the name of the set. It would be very useful if they could get that fixed. Bottom line though, this a must join site, even if you only try it for a month.
Update: I contacted Met-Art support about the user submitted search tags not working. The next day I got an email back from them, stating that they had corrected the problem (I checked, and they did), and as a way of thanking me for alerting them to the problem, they gave me a free two week trial to one of their other sites! Sweet! |

Your review sums up my thoughts pretty well RearAdmiral. I joined this site a couple weeks ago, after seeing a gallery on Met-Art where the girl was wearing a wicked weasel. I've been aware of Wicked Weasel for over 10 years, but it had been quite a while since I had been to the site. I kinda got fooled into thinking it was a more traditional porn site by the limited free tour, only to find out that there are no zips once I joined. I like the site more than you do, but thats just cause I love hot babes in hot bikinis. The best stuff is in the model archives, and you can also find the hottest girls in the most popular galleries link. I've found a few that I really like, but like you mentioned, its a lot of work to download a gallery. BTW, the membership does not rebill automatically, so you don't have to worry about canceling.

Over the last year or so, I have made a point of writing down my subscription ID number, user name, and password immediately after signing up for a site. I keep these all in the same little notebook. They come in very handy when you go to log in, and when you go to cancel.
I hate the random usernames and passwords too, but I just view it as a necessary evil to deal with. Some of them are so bad I can never memorize them.
MPL is one of those sites that seems to be overly concerned with people trying to download their entire site. They have a list of rules right on the home page that seems just a bit over the top to me. However, I am very selective about what I download, and I don't use a download manager, so I never ran into any problems at their site. Having said that, I did notice more than once that after being on their site for about an hour or so, the back button on my browser didn't work anymore. I wasn't sure if this was problem with the browser or their way of trying to throttle me. It didn't work, as there were buttons at the bottom of each photo page to go back to the gallery. I think I had the same issue at another site, so I wasn't sure what the problem was. I doubt if your lockout originated from CCBill--you probably violated one of MPL's rules without knowing it.

The first thing that struck me about this site when I joined was how gorgeous their models are. You would be hard pressed to find any other site with more attractive models. The site is primarily a photo-set site, although they do have quite a few videos as well. Most of the videos are strip and masturbation, although they do have a few lesbian vids as well. The photo quality is very good to excellent overall, although some of the sets do suffer from less than top notch lighting. If you are a fan of Macy B from Met-Art, I have to point out that this site has her best and most explicit work. She is definitely one of my new favs. I joined with their current (as of Dec 2012) discount of $19.95 a month, which is well worth the price. No problems with site navigation or download speeds. They do not permit multi-threaded downloading, but thats not a problem for me, as I dont need the entire catalog. |

A fair number of their models are somewhat shy, and do not do any explicit pussy photos. This applies more to the earlier than the recent models. Another minor quibble is that some of their videos are released in parts, each about 5 to 7 minutes long. |

-I hope the site administrators dont get mad at me for saying it, but it is easy to enjoy most of what this site has to offer without spending a dime! You simply go to the site and enter any model's chat room as a guest. You can also register as a "basic" by giving them your contact info (name and email). Guests and basics cannot join group shows or do privates, but many models do strip shows and masturbation shows in their public chat rooms once paying members have tipped the requested amount.
-for paying members a video is made of all private chats you do, and kept indefinitely in your archive
-you can add a large number of models to your favorites list, and get notified by email whenever they log on

-MFC is more expensive than most webcam sites ($5 a minute for private chats if you buy 900 tokens at a time). Some models do offline Skpe shows for online tips that work out to a cheaper rate than this.
-one of my biggest gripes is the lack of a user comment section for private chats. You can rate the private, and send a comment to the model, but you can't make a comment that can be read by the general membership. You can leave a comment on her profile page, but the vast majority of those are not comments about private chats.
-As others have noted, you can get addicted to webcam sites, and MFC is no exception. In addition to blowing a lot of money, you can also waste a LOT of time here. If you're low on self discipline, you're probably better off never visiting the site.

MFC and Streamate are my two favorite webcam sites, and I meant to write this reveiw right after I did my review of Streamate, but I ran out of time. Both sites have good and bad points.
One thing about MFC that is different from other webcam sites is how the membership interacts with the models. Its a little difficult to explain, but the end result is that you can get to know a model better at MFC than probably any other site. The chat room has a list of all premium and basic members on the right, a chat display in the middle, and the model's video feed on the left. The more popular rooms will often have an active ongoing discussion between the members and model that can include anything as the topic (how her day is going, what type of sex she likes best, etc). If you go into a models chat room on a regular basis, over time you will learn a lot about her. In addition to this, there is a private messaging system, so you can talk one on one with a model if you have anything to discuss with her that you don't want the general membership to see (like what you would like her to do in a private chat). Most models do some type of countdown show, where they will do a strip show and/or masturbate after a certain number of tokens have been tipped by everyone in the room. This usually results in a lot of time for the members to interact with the model. This along with the combination of active public chat and private messaging results in a better interaction with the models than any other webcam site I've been to. Again, its a little hard to explain, but MFC definitely does this well.
A few things are worth noting for new members or persons who have never been to a webcam site before.
First, many models work multiple webcam sites. If you see a girl typing for no apparent reason, she may be interacting on another site. So there will be times when you type a comment in the chat room and the model doesn't immediately respond. It doesn't mean she's being rude. Other sites have their own unique sounds that you may learn to recognize if her sound is on(MFC has a distinctive "chime" sound when the model gets a tip).
Second, video quality will vary with the models equipment. In general, it's still not that good, and no where near true HD quality. MFC did recently add a full screen video option, but if a model is streaming at VGA quality, it will be pixelated. This is one of the more disappointing things about webcam sites, but obviously will get better over time.
Third, there are a lot of European girls here, and not all of them read and speak good English. If you have specific requests for a private chat, make sure she understands what you want before you the click the button.
Fourth, there are a few models on every site who are "time wasters" in their private chats. They will stall for time by typing questions, dancing, and generally not getting naked and doing what you want them to do. When I encounter this, I end the chat very quickly, but not before I let them why.
Finally, you really need to set yourself a monthly budget if you are going to use these sites. It is very easy to blow a lot of money. You have to ask yourself what you are looking for at a webcam site that you can't get from a regular porn site. If you don't have a good answer, then stay away from them if you don't have self discipline. I did what a lot of people probably do, initially spent a lot more money than I should have, before settling down to spending very little.
MFC prides itself on paying the models more than any other webcam site (supposedly 50% of the tips versus 25% to 30% at other sites). That's all fine and good, but I wonder if they do anything to help new models learn the ropes if you will. I've seen quite a few new models who are very attractive and you would think should do well, but they end up doing poorly, having their cam score fall like a rock, and dropping down to page 2, where very few members go (btw check it on a regular basis--there are some really hot girls there too). They may have a FAQ for new models, but I've seen too many new models make common errors that result in their cam score dropping. Things like not showing their face on their video feed, setting a token target for a strip show that is way too high, wearing too much or otherwise not showing enough of their body to get members so horny that they can't resist taking them private, etc. Having just said that, I guess I would be remiss if I didn't call out all of the assinine members who type rude comments, and the never ending crowd of freeloaders who never tip the models. I really feel bad sometimes for some of these girls. They put up with a lot of BS on a daily basis, and everyone's always wanting a free show. So guys, be nice to the girls, and do tip them if you can.
Bottom line, you can have a LOT of fun at MFC (and other webcam sites), but be careful with your wallet. |

I didn't know the newsgroups still existed. I haven't been on them in many years, but I remember having to wade through all the spam. I was a Playboy subscriber for a while, but eventually tired of their prudish attitudes about not showing explicit photos. The overly glammed up look of the models got old too.

Great review! I tried a subscription to Playboys website many years ago (back in the late 90s I think). At the time I was a subscriber to the magazine, and probably had ten years worth of back issues in my closet. I remember thinking that if the site was good and the Playmate photo sets were complete, I was going to get rid of all the mags I had. But when I joined, the photos were really crappy, so I kept the mags for a few more years. That was over 10 years ago and it sounds like not much has changed! Amazing that a company known for the quality of its printed magazine has never gotten it right on the internet. But I do have a question: does this site have a complete Playmate archive, and what else in addition to the Playmates does it have? Thanks!

-Technical quality of the photos and videos is excellent!
-Site navigation works well, as with all of the Met-Art administered sites.
-The photography is softcore, with only occasional touching and finger spreading. Having said that, most photo sets do include some explicit close up shots.
-The site preview is very good--you can see short photoset previews of every set from every model, and teasers of all the vids.
-Signing up and canceling are through CC-Bill, and gave me no problems |

Fans of Met-Art will recognize the name Rylsky, as he is one of their more prolific and better photographers. I have always liked his work on Met-Art, and eventually once his site got large enough and had enough sets of my favorite models, I had to join for a month.
While the site is still relatively small, the photography is high quality, and his models are gorgeous! If you are familiar with his work at Met-Art, then you know what to expect. All photosets have zips with 3 different resolutions, and the videos likewise come in several sizes, including 1080p HD. Videos are available for streaming or downloading.
One feature of the site that I appreciate is the comment section. I think Met-Art added this last year to their main site, and now all of the sites they administer have it. Rylsky is one of the few photographers who actually responds to user comments, and listens to their input. For example, in one of the first sets he published on his site that had a model touching her pussy, several members complained. He responded by posting the same set with those photos removed. Similarly, he includes more sets with unshaven models than you will find on Met-Art, as there are lots of member requests for natural girls (just not from me, LOL).
I got a promo price of $19.00 for the site when I joined SexArt, and while some may find this a bit high for a relatively small site, I was certainly happy with my membership. As time goes on, and more models are added, the site will only get better.
Bottom Line - If you like Met-Art style photography and video you will like this site. The preview is very good, so you can see exactly what you are signing up for. |

Marqulis, any guess as to what percent of the most recent stuff looks non-exclusive? I've been a member at both sites, both over 2 years ago. I prefered Sapphic Erotica. There was too much anal at Lez Cuties for my liking--no doubt they were jumping on the anal bandwagon that has worked its way into most porn.
