Now we all know that movies are not the primary draw at MET Art, but I've enjoyed some of them a lot. Up to now, the movie viewer has been the site's weak point. At one point in the past there was a seek bar, but then even that was disabled. Even in the larger size, you couldn't watch at anything like HD. All that is in the past.
As of yesterday, Met Art has a very nice JWPlayer for watching the movies, and we can now watch them in HD, when that resolution is available for the video and in full-screen. It's about time, but it's a welcome addition.
NB: They're having some technical issues with it at this moment, but when I logged in this morning for my daily perving, it worked great. :)
On checking my email this morning i found an email offer to join Met Art and get Nubiles for free. Having never been a member at either site before i was tempted at the thought of signing up to both for a year knowing that Met have a great $99 deal for 1 year memberships, however on clicking through to the sign up page for Ccbill i discover the join price is $199.99......how the fuck is this a special offer??
Met-art has re-designed the updates page. Met-art is constantly tinkering with the site design to improve the Met-art experience, to make the site easier to use.
The old update page was basically a listing of the most recent updates (photosets and videos) with a nice-sized thumbnail of each cover sheet. By clicking on any thumbnail, you would get a full-sized page of that cover sheet.
In the new update page design, you get a reduced number of update thumbnails. The updates are now sorted into a photoset grouping, and a video grouping. Before, the photosets and videos were lumped together, and sorted by date (most recent to oldest). By clicking on a thumbnail for the cover of a photoset, instead of getting a larger, full-page version, you now get 14 tiny thumbnails of photos within that set.
New to the updates page is a section of thumbnails that shows the Live Met Cams models.
Also new to the updates page is a listing, with thumbnails, of the top rated Metart models.
Personally, I liked the old design better, it was simpler, and showed a larger amount of the most recent updates.
But for someone who is just browsing, and is new to this site, the new design does a better job of showcasing the huge content that Metart offers with a membership.
All of this information was available before, but the new design places more information on the primary updates page.
And the technical expertise of the site design is impressive. The thumbnail links work easily. You click on a thumbnail of a model in the highest rated section, and it brings up a listing (thumbnails) of that model's photosets and videos.
Looking at the list of updates on the site, I might have to revise my opinion and add this site to my list, as I see a couple of sets shot by the legendary (well, in some circles) Roy Stuart...
Actually, would be much obliged if somebody with a membership could let me know how many of his sets there are there?
Met Art gallery pages now allow you to:
1. Rate the series, the model, or the photographer separately
2. Input tags for each series
3. Return to recently viewed content (their starred "Recent" button)
4. Control viewing options such as number of thumbs per page, whether the thumb opens a pic in a new window, and the default resolution of opened pics.
These are nice improvements, but I did notice one change. It used to be you could change the default photo viewing resolution right on a gallery page, but now it always uses the "browser options" setting whenever you go to a new page. So you might, for example, change the view to "low" but get "high" on the next page.
Perhaps this seems like a quibble, but I did like being able to reset the default without having to go into the browser options area.
Just the same, the overall improvements show that Met Art continues to find ways to enhance the user experience.
UPDATE: They're going to fix the problem I pointed out here (see replies).
Met-art is now offering lots of different affiliate deals with various partner sites - not just from their individual e-mails, which has gone on for a while and caused a bit of controversy when I commented on one and linked to the offer - but on the site itself. I assume everyone sees the same offers as I do when they click on the site.
Pretty cool offers - some that I've never seen made before - on sites such as Nubiles.net and RonHarris.com
There have been many site improvements lately. The design has been enhanced and ease of navigation has greatly increased. The models are as delicious as ever, and I actually think they're getting much more stimulating. I find new content more erotic and less artsy than in the past. The poses are more explicit, but the photography is world-class. High-res content now comes in resolutions up to 39 megapixels -- enough to make my 24" monitor seem tiny and let you see as much detail as your heart, or penis, desires.
Some of the greatest improvements I've seen are in the erotic movies and live webcams. The erotic movies are, well, erotic. For the most part, the girls have gotten away from the cutesy posing and goofing off to fill video time and are much more sensual and seductive. And the hotties on live webcams are a real treat. They're not the two-dollar whores or sleazy sluts with dildos you usually find on live webcams, these babes are classy, seductive, and friendly, and they really know how to push my buttons. I would have joined for this alone.
More than I entended to say, but I like to give credit where credit is due.
I happened to notice my regular Met Art email and clicked it figuring it would be the usual Met Art + Met Models offer, instead, it was Met Art + Nubiles.net for $29.95. Anybody else get this offer? I haven't been on either site in awhile, so I may have to take this offer.
First time I've noticed the met-art updates page being really messed up. The thumbnails for the most recent updates are out of order, with wrong listing dates for when the photosets/videos were posted. I assume the mix-up will be fixed soon.
Edit01: For what it's worth, the met-art updates page has now been fixed. I didn't have to clear my browser cache to get the corrected page of updates, so the problem was definitely on the met-art site, and not from my PC. :)
I've been a member on and off since MET was Most Erotic Teens and been steady for close to 4 years now. The thing that's kept me subscribed are the cam shows. There used to be fewer models and two-hour shows, and now there are many more models doing one-hour shows.
As far as I'm concerned, the free cams are worth the subscription price alone. The shows are super-softcore (no genital touching) and conversation is strictly monitored, so if you like your porn polite, this is a plus.
The shows (like the photo sets, come to think of it) are a bit uneven, but there are ratings in place to guide you. Less popular models don't get booked as often, or at all after a while. Some models have been with MET for years and they never disappoint. Others are students and look it, and they also act like it. Some have photo sets, although they don't always get the best photographers, since they are often not professional models and often live in out of the way locations.
English is not the first language of any of the current models, who speak either Russian, Romanian or Tagalog so chat can be hit or miss in the public shows.
If you decide to spring for a one-on-one chat, they use Google translation, which goes a long way. Keep in mind that the private shows are meant to be as softcore and polite as the public ones, although chat is *not* monitored. You can also do two-way voice chat in private shows.
The time I've spent there has saved me a ton of money I might have spent elsewhere, and I have some fond memories of a few sweet, beautiful models who have gone on to other things. How many places do you get to look up the butt of a hot model who remembers your nick? For.Free. Even though there are more models each doing fewer public shows each now, it's still the kind of personal experience I've not come across anywhere else.
Anyway, I just thought I'd give a shoutout to the very lovely and friendly cams models at MET, since they are a really nice bonus on top of the pictures and vids.
NB: The cams are being upgraded as we speak and will *supposedly* become available again as of June 11. We'll see.
I am not going to post a review on this, because I have nothing really to add about the statistics etc that hasn't already been covered in great detail.
I appreciate this purports to be an artsy site, and I can take that at face value.
What really disappoints me about this site is the lack of variety & creativity.
It is all very formulaic & repetetive.
Sure beautiful girls, scantily clad to nude, usually outside.
Most of the thumbnail set 'covers' blend into each other.
There is so much material, I am bound to have missed a few gems in there, but searching through the 'covers' to find one that stands out gets dull.
Most of the past Met-art videos were boring. Very pretty girls for subjects, but videos were boring and a waste of time to watch. This last video I saw, "FIRST MOVIE" BY RYLSKY, with the model Guerlain A., release date 04.25.2010, was slightly more interesting. The model is pretty, which is nothing new for Met-art, but I kept expecting the model to turn into a monster or creature, or for someone to jump on her and start slashing away with a knife or axe or something. Partly it was the lighting and the slow way the camera focused on the model, partly the music. Still a boring video, but maybe in part 2 they will add the monster/creature/slasher part for greater excitement.
Met-art has a photoset that posts tomorrow of a new model named Sophie D. She is better known as Sophie Moone. Back from retirement, she is still a great-looking woman.
The $ 19.95 here at TBP is a sweet deal - BUT again - no matter if it's CCBill or Epoch the price for Europeans is much higher.
So I mailed the site and one Damon from MetArt came back in less than 12 hours with a link, so that this European could join for those $ 19.95....Thanks!
(would like to place the link here, but it's only valid for Denmark, as I see it) - so mail the site!
BTW: Getting back again to photos and softcore/nude - and this site sure got it - still. Probably be back with a new review - it's a looooong time ago, since I've been here.
This site is clearly above all others at what it does - at least in my opinion - gorgeous natural women with fantastic photography.
Just wondering, however, does anyone else think maybe they are taking the picture resolution too far? I mean 3000x4400 seems a tad excessive. A zip file of one of the photo sets I downloaded in high was over 500 MB.
This seams especially odd considering their "mid resolution" sets are usually better quality than the vast majority of other sites.
MA is the most overvalued page on TBP ever!
A shitload of naked girls might be a reason to join but they should start to rebuild their technical concepts and design. The browsing experience is equally boring as the sets they offer!
Well, here we go - if your're in Europe, you have to pay more via CCBill - when you try to join from TBP.
But here are the price in dollars for europeans - and SAVE money - mailed to this user by the Met Art-folks:
Met Art got an ok deal at the moment where you can join the Mother-load ( main-site) and the Errotica Archives for a better price: $ 29.95.
But the deal - AND generally the joining-procedure for Met Art comes up different, if you try to join from anywhere in Europe - THEN the price is EURO 29.95 - which is somewhere around 40 Dollars.
But:
Write the webmaster and get another link direct to 'the dollar-deal' and save some money.
I did - and it took about four hours to get a link to 'the right price'
Can I place that link here, webmasters of TBP/PU??????
Of all the sites I have joined over the years this is the most over-rated. Not one ounce of sensuous or sexual feeling in anything. The movies are a total joke. My idea of a good movie is NOT to have the stage hands walking back and forth in the scene. In videos with two girls the girls are usually laughing so hard they can barely stand. What's sexy about that?
Haven't been a member of met-art since Sep. 2008, but they keep trying to make the site better.
Now they advertise "Read the full model bio" (for newest photo set updates). The older model bios were extremely limited, basically name, country, physical characteristics (age, height, weight, plus a few others).
Another new feature is allowing members to make their own photo galleries from pics they select from met-art photo shoots.
Signed up for the MET Portal (MET Art, MET Models & Errotica Archives) from Oct-Nov 2008 after spending 18 months in the middle of nowhere. MET Art was the first site I signed up for solely for the pictures. I figured 1 month would be more than enough time to grab all the photos from all 3 sites. Boy was I wrong. MET Art alone is just plain huge if not overwhelming. Plan to return in about 6 months for the updates.
Biggest issue I had was that size of the Hi Def images. Be prepared to eat up a lot of storage space for the best quality. I used over 600GB for MET Art alone.
Just joined the Met again - and in the ocean of models just discovered this model for the first time - even if she first appeared in 2005 - she's changed a lot since then, but, alas - no videos:
ULYA G.
- a sweet, fantastic looking brunette.
Anybody know if she appears on other sites? (she's not on Eurobabeindex)
