I agree for the most part. Updating Diabolic's "lewd conduct" series is a joke, the quality of the vids looks awful -not to mention the horrible sounding soundtrack-, therefore: remaster them or don't dare to offer as updates those vids.
By the bye, the new updates fron Evil Angel and Vivid are not up to par with the old ones, IMHO indeed.

Read your newest comment about them allowing the deal to existing members. I think it's a good deal, but would have been a great deal if they kept the TBP price and only charged $14.95 for VB DVD and $14.95 for both premium channels. I haven't tried the Evil Angel premium channel yet, but have the Vivid one twice and really liked it, so I'll be joining in the next week to try both premiums out. I haven't ever had much success with VB's customer service. I sent them a message months ago to tell them the "warning" age box was not showing up right on my browser, so I couldn't even get in the site without using a different browser, never heard back from them, but the problem has been fixed.

I agree with you about the fallow period, Pink Panther. I am not subscribing at present but keep going to the site regularly to see how good the updates are .. and they seem to be depressingly the same from one day to the next: generic porn. The only DVD site that originally gave me what I was looking for, American Vice, had lot of niche DVDs I had never seen anywhere else before but even they turned flat shortly before they shut down.

Yep, that's what I was referring to in my recent comment at American Vice. The Webmaster got slightly upset over my remarks but as far as I am concerned he's definitely gone more "main stream" over the past few months. I'm not looking for grotesque but more niche content would be an improvement over what he's offering now.

I haven't been an American Vice fan forever because I hate their site. Because of that, I have no idea how they update now. All I know is when I was a member they had numerous unique DVDs on file (including a series with midgets and some deformed guy). That's what I was talking about.

Yeah and it makes no sense to me. I'm personally not an anal fan, does nothing for me, so I'm tired of seeing all these anal updates. I'd like to see some weird niche's like American Vice has. If Videobox gave uncommond dvds like American Vice, for me it would be perfect.

Thanks - probably my mistanke - had this impression:
When you go search for, let's say - a certain model - and the results come up, you get those blue spots under some thumbs - and if you press this your're automatically updated and charged an the extra amount.
Also got that impression from another user who actually WAS charged - so I did not want to take the chance by pressing that blue thing.... so how does the updating work from there???

You have no idea how pleased I am. At Porn.com I finally found out that you could only download 2 scenes at a time but when they downloaded .. wow .. I haven't seen 1.6 MB/s from that site ever. Same with another site I subscribe to. They too limit downloads to two but at 1.7 - 1.8 MB/s who's complaining. Tried both sites with the regular Firefox downloader and couldn't even get a quarter of that speed. Thanks again.

Okay, just installed Down Them All. I have four scenes downloading from Video Box simultaneously, 2 at around 350 KB/s and 2 around 180 KB/s. Tried it on Porn.com but they didn't respond to the downloader. Thanks again.

To tell the truth I'm scared to use them because I don't know how to go about it. For instance, at Video Box, how would you go about downloading scenes from various DVDs. Do you right click on the first scene, then go to the next to right click "down them all" and so on? I know it's stupid but the options are intimidating to me. Do I just check off something like download multimedia, or pictures or both. I wish someone were looking over my shoulders when I make my first attempts. I did manage to do it just right with an unzipped picture set but that's how far I got.

I took a three month membership with a free month added a month ago and am sorry about it now, even though the price was right. Their download speed has become intolerable. Today, the best speed I got was 89 kB/s and that's not a fluke, it's been like this for three weeks or thereabouts.

Happened to me, too. I got blank pages instead of scenes, and was told in those pages to send an email to a certain address, which didn't work because it was probably down at the same time.

Yeah, it was back online this morning - It was weird - I was downloading a vid when it just stopped like the server went down and when I tried to leave the site and go back in, it was unavailable. Oh, well - shit happens

Works for me now. I remember they did some major changes on the site about a year ago and left a very informative error page; the precise downtime of the site had also been scheduled for some days in a blog entry. I don't see any similar recent blog entry now, though.

That is a bit retarded! It does not matter to me at this point because I am in the middle of my 10 month subscription. But there are likely people looking to join that can not make heads or tails of it. I am always sceptical of a site when there are pricing discrepencies like this.

CC Bill surprised the heck out of me.
They said they actually voided the transaction.
The charge would have been $17.95 for only one day.
I guess I do not know what channels are, and the pricing was not understandable to me.
On another note they said I was the third person to call in, so that probably helped my case.

Thanks, guys, for the many replies. I have the feeling that Pink Panther might be on to something when he mentions the 1st of April. Maybe the blurb writers of Videosz put one over on me. After that introduction I didn't even look at the individual scenes because DVDs like that are published entirely too often when it's NOT the 1st of April.

The sad (at least for me) thing is that from my searches, about 80% of the DVDs are EXACTLY THE SAME for VideosZ and VideoBox :-(. Not sure about updates and where it goes, but at this point I don't think they're that much different :-(.
