Yes, I realize that 'British' is an poor label for vocal inflections ranging from the rawness of the Liverpool docks or the Highland Scots to the blue bloods of Pall Mall. But with only six answers allowed, I din't want to break it down futher. Perhaps I should of label that choice as Commonwealth nations?

I'm not sure why they require their online customers to contact them directly. I somehow feel that they do it because some people will feel too embarassed and therefore keep the membership open instead of speaking to a person. In any case, I still wasted a certain amount of time trying to find an online method of cacelling the memberhip.

"Tweedle Dum" ; mmmm, sounds promising and with oh so much potential ... or lack thereof depending on one's perspective.
Back to the issue at hand, when you consider websites as a whole, then for god sakes yes do some re-touching. Most of the photographers taking pics out there don't understand that the dials and menus on cameras today are there to help make pictures look better. Leave your point and click at home and figure out what the hell you're doing.
As for the primo sites like Met-Art, there already is some airbrushing going on I bet but it's done well for the most part so I don't mind. It's when it goes overboard like Playboy or Suze that it sometimes gets annoying.

Drooler said:To a point anyway. When the girl's been so overly, Tweedlely-dum done, and she looks like something that could be hanging around in the older woman's room in that "rape with the precious work of art" scene in Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange, well, it might be worth considering that things have been taken a little too far.
My term is "Twistied," not "Tweedlely-dum" -a take on the Twistys site's over use of photoshop on its photos and why I am a member of the site just for the videos that cannot be photoshopped. So many of the Twistys babes look almost like they were computer simulations rather than real naked girls.
My response to the poll is no photoshop. If she can't pass muster without photoshop, does she really belong on a porn site in the first place?

Drooler, have they been using more photoshop or a similar process at metart? I don't mind some photoshop at metart, but lately it seems to be used over-much and the photosets, even of attractive models, are less appealing. The coloring and appearance of the model seems fake instead of real.

Your reply to this poll, was just a guise to fuck it up with your gibberish about 'control'
The irony is, it is you who was insinuating what someone else should or should not do. Therefore you are trying to be the 'controller' in this case.
If you are really concerned about being in control, then maybe you could be the leader of your clique.

I never expected a poll about site access to turn into religious debate.
If you were to believe in karma, then each person is in control of their own destiny. It is their own good or bad actions which define it. No spirtitual forces can alter their life decisions.
Faith doesn't have to include christianity. If you have no faith in what you are trying to achieve, you will ultimately fail. Giving someone a belief is a good thing, as long as it's not false hope.
P.S. God is angry with this athiest blasphemy. He will destroy your porn external hard drives using unseen forces and controlling mind in disguise.

You speak right out of my heart, Drooler! There are worse obscenities in this world than the so-called "obscenities" our representatives are forever trying to get rid of. Unnecessary wars are obscene, starving children are obscene, abused wives are an obscenity, people losing their homes because of ill health are an obscenity.
Going after vices (drugs, alcohol, prostitution, sexual material etc.) that have existed in one form or the other since the beginning of time, vices that will never be eradicated as long as humanity exists, for some reason seems a lot more popular with politicians than actually helping someone get out of socially deplorable conditions.
Reading that last paragraph of mine, I think there should be a law against convoluted sentences! But I'm too lazy to rephrase it, so I hope you can make sense of it. :-)

I agree with Drooler. The screaming in porn is almost as bad as the shrieking that goes on in Women's professional tennis. It's unnecessary and a ridiculous waste of energy.

For me the actively light on my DSL modem is the same as an EKG machine, if it flat lines it is time to panic. Mine never stops, well it is not supposed to, and when it does I take care of that right away. My though has always been that I am paying a monthly fee to see that light flash and when it is not I am throwing money away.

Could not agree with Drooler more here.
I have lost count of the number of times I have read that "she's a party girl!" and "this model is crazy!" Then there is the all time classic: "this girl loves sex!" Really? My view of girls who pose nude and masturbate on camera is that they are all total prudes... Admittedly some performers look like they are having more fun than others, but really no model has to love anything in porn; she just has to give consent.
More importantly, I don't give a shit about what they really love, hate, eat, etc. since porn is pretty much total fantasy. If the bios/profiles were all accurate, I suspect I would have been too depressed after reading a few and given up porn a long time ago.

I'd go along with Drooler that a model's acting ability adds or detracts from the value of the scene.
The idea that the quiz reflects the person's view of acting is nice.
I would add that the quiz also reflects the person's appetite or style of eating: when you watch a porn clip, do you shovel it into your mouth and wait for it to digest, or do you go for gourmet style, and try to appreciate the different elements of the scene?
Most porn is better viewed with your eyes closed and your brain turned off.

I don't necessarily mind remakes or sequels. I've seen a couple that were pretty good and some that were better. It's true that sometime Hollywood doesn't know when to stop. I'm dating myself here but although Jaws is a classic. I stillenjoyed Jaws 2. The problem is that they made 2 others after Jaws 2.
Another big problem is that if you decide to remake a classic. Why do you have to rewrite the entire script. It's a remake so all you need to do is modernize the story or alter parts that no longer make sense. There are quite a few geniuses in Hollywood who think they can re-invent the light bulb. They can't even screw one in so you can forget the rest.

hehe - OK...to be slightly more lucid:
I never look at the jpg content of a site online if I can help it. In fact - I often turn off image display in my browser to speed up pages and keep my cache nice and clean. Simply download the zips and look ath thumbnails using ACDSee. As the meercat wouldsay - "simples" (sorry - it's a UK thing)!

Apart from linking to the full image, thumbnails should help users decide whether they are interested in a picture or not. I agree that automatic cropping is useless for this purpose.
I've never seen it in an adult site but there's a technique that combines resizing and cropping to get a different type of thumbnails: you first crop to the significant part of an image (a human has to decide which part for each image) and then resize to the final thumbnail size. The resulting human-cropped thumbnail would make sense because it would help users choose images much better than a mere resize.
If you take the usual set at sites like Twistys, there's usually little difference between a photo and the next. It would be interesting to see this technique used to highlight those differences via the thumbnails so users would be able to tell whether the model is covering her breast or pinching her nipple; pointing at her pussy or actually fingering it; just smiling or actually licking her lips. And so on. You rarely get this level of detail with a mere resize.
In fact, if you look at the free preview galleries around the net of Twistys and similar sites, you'll see they use this technique in order to leave as little blank space in the page as possible. The ones I've seen, resize the portrait ones and use this technique for the landscape ones.

Ditto that except that well produced softcore videos can really get my motor going as well. Generally, most photos no longer get my interest except when they are of my A list babes and are taken by a true pro.
