I guess I just don't view VideoBox as a standard porn site like I do for every other site I have subscribed to. It's not just recreation or entertainment for me, it's a utility as well.
Most of the other sites that I go to expose me to models that I don't recall seeing before but took a liking to and wanted to see more of. A search on VideoBox almost always provides me with a number of scenes I haven't seen of those models. It's like a "Mr.Skin" for hardcore porn for me. On top of that, I can just browse recent additions in general and have access to numerous scenes that I haven't seen before.
The only negative I can think of that I'd add to my original review is that VideoBox can expose you to so many scenes of individual models that it can totally kill any interest you have in that model for some time or forever. It's over-exposure in some cases.
It's not an end-all-be-all of a site, but I cannot think of any porn site that I have gotten more use out of. And I don't have a premium membership - I just don't see the point. To me, that's like buying an HDTV and not subscribing to any HDTV channels.
To put it simply, VideoBox doesn't represent a woman I'd marry or make my girlfriend, it's my address book of booty calls, figuratively speaking.

I guess I have to speak up on this one. I am "that guy" who rated them at 100!! I agree that older videos suck, as they do on all sites, but VB does post old shit as new at times. In their defense though they do post enough stuff every day to keep most people busy. SO if you dont like a certain video just skip over it because there are certainly plenty others and at least a few of them will grab your attention. The quality on video box does need to improve. They have the bit rate to provide some good looking stuff, but I believe it is upscaled to use twice as much bandwidth to show the same thing. I still do not believe anyone else beats them. Besides, it you download one movie every other day you still come out ahead of paying a buck for the movie at the shit bin in the store. I believe they are great, but need to do better if they want to stay on top because others are catching up pretty quickly.

At least on Videobox I've found more natural women - and in higher resolution video - than what I saw while at Brazzer's. I'll admit that Brazzer's is more consistent in their content. All their video is relatively clear and well lit, while some of the vids on Videobox are just plain crap. But I don't WANT to clearly see women with basketballs growing out of their chests. The only stuff I found good enough to save from Brazzer's was all at 320x240 resolution - about 22 gigs worth. On the other hand, I have over 120 gigs of 720x480 vids from my latest trip to Videobox and my month isn't even up yet.
Sure - it's all about preference. You might not have agreed with me on the the stuff I rejected from Brazzer's or what I saved from Videobox. But to say there's not enough on Videobox to keep it really high in the ratings? I can't say I understand that. At the time of this comment, there are 4326 videos to choose from. Are they all hi-def? Nope. Are they all clunkers? No way! I say, "Step up to the salad bar of porn. You might want to pass on the tomatoes and the bleu cheese dressing - they're a bit stale looking. But the rest is definitely good to go!"

I have discovered that the best hardcore porn is being made in Japan. A lot of people have a problem with the mosaic censorship though. But if you can get past that, you will see they do it very well. The non censored stuff is bootlegged 3rd rate material though. The great looking girls are all censored. The males in American porn are so awful at ruining every scene that I can't even watch it anymore.

Thanks, Denner. That's the way I feel, not only about VB but also about the "adult" videos they show on our cable channels late at night. I go past them so fast that my head spins because they are so incredibly boring. And I'm a porn hound or I wouldn't be here! :-)
I suppose a kid who's never seen a naked woman before would be entranced but if you've lived for any length of time, nudity, "enhanced" by various body modifications and accompanied by phony screams of "o YES and o GOD!" doesn't cut it with real adults.
Producers of adult movies have forgotten about eroticism and so you see an endless stream of actors who barely have time to open the door for their sex partners before they are wrestling with them on the floor, or against the wall, or on the kitchen table etc. etc. I can hear the producer say "In order to save time and get straight to what people want, leave off panties and bra .. lights, hand held camera, action!" Sadly, many are like that and feel that any leading up to the action is a waste of their time.
No foreplay, no teasing (gradual revealing of the body), no story. Arghh. And thanks for letting me vent! :-)

I was hoping you wouldn't take my reply wrong, and think I was having an attitude. I'm not really into the high tech computers myself. Just bought a new one this past Christmas and went ahead and got the bigger monitor. And thought I would share my experiences with it compared to the more regular monitors.
It also could be the bitrate of the videos that is causing the blurriness or not clear parts. I just joined porn.com the other day, they have pretty nice resolution 640 high end, but their WMV are only 1,000k bitrate, their DIVX files are the same resolution but are 2,000k bitrate and look much nicer. The bitrate seems to be where the smoothness of the video shows.
As I was telling apoctom, this new computer that my wife bought me for Christmas is a real monster of a computer, it has the top end video card in it and over 4000 RAM, so I probably am going to get clearer videos just by default because the computer is so fast and powerful.
I also think the file type can make a difference. Which is why I think in the TBP reviews you can notice where there take away for sites not giving many download options of file types. Try some DIVX files with a high bitrate and see if they don't look clearer to you. I'm starting to think WMV files are no longer the best.
Last, the bitrate also effects the size of the file, I had forgot to mention that in my last post. Those two videos that I used as examples in the other post have a large difference in bitrates as well. Both are Eva Angelina clips. Fabulous has a 4,586k bitrate which is very fast, but Don't Hide it, Divide It has a 7,540k bitrate which is extremely fast. I had read your post about the 1byday re-releases, that is what they are doing to those, raising the resolution and raising the speed of the bitrate.
I'm not quite technically savvy enough to say that a video card would make a huge difference, but I know a video card can make a difference in the frames per second that a video game runs at, which makes it smoother. That could be something you could look into. A good video card doesn't cost much over $100, and are a snap to put in, no technical ability required. But do try that with the DIVX clips and let me know if those look clearer than the WMV ones, so I can make sure I'm not losing my mind! Talk to you later.

Well, Denner... I guess it all comes down to personal preference. Sometimes you find yourself going against popular opinion, just like I did with the Brazzer's Network.
I agree with you - there are a lot of clunkers on Videobox - plenty of videos that just plain look bad in any resolution. I just figure that $15 these days, for a menu that large, makes it worth the cost - even if you have to pick through it all to find the keepers.
It's okay - Videobox doesn't work for you and there's plenty of porn out there on other sites. : - )

Check out the Tony's Amateur Tapes series. 720x480 looks sharp (although I'll admit it's not quite DVD quality), while the 480x352 is a bit grainy.

I don't think it is something Videobox is doing. My understanding is that they buy the rights to the DVD then post just as it is on the DVD. Some studios use 640 high end as DVD resolution, others use 720 on the high end. As far as I know VB doesn't alter the videos at all. I'm not for sure with their multi-updates per day that they would even have time to alter the scenes.
I think the difference you are looking at between high and DVD is 480x352 is the top "high" quality. 720x480 is the top "DVD" quality. The average DVD quality clips are 640x480.
There really could be a difference depending on the size and type monitor you have. I have two computers, my wife uses one for business, it has a 17 inch regular view LCD monitor, on it, I can't tell much difference between the high and DVD videos. On my entertainment computer, I have a 24 inch HD widescreen monitor and I can tell a big difference between the high and DVD clips.

Denner - I'm curious what the specs are on your PC. Could it be your video card and/or monitor that's keeping the DVD quality stuff from looking better? Sure, there are a good number of files that just look magnified but, for the most part, the big files look sharper to me - especially the ones where the difference in file size, between DVD quality and the "regular quality", seems extraordinarily high.

The reason I give it such a high rating is because the speeds are among the best I have ever seen. I have had access to an OC3 connection for several years and have final tapped it about a year ago. This site has given me amazing download speeds that are able to be sustained. I have pulled more than 45 Megabits per second from them for hours at a time. This is in the middle of the day and evening. The quality of the videos is good as well. Most of the newer ones are more than 2 Megabits per second, and many of the movies dating back have similar bit rates. I have downloaded countless websites and this one is the easiest to download. I can get a good sized download queue in a few minutes that will last through the night and most of the day on my 3 megabit DSL home connection.
It can not be expected for a website to cater to every fetish that a person might have. If you want big tits go to Brazzers, you want hairy chicks go to Abby Winters, or for art go to MetArt. You get the idea. But Video Box has a great deal of the standard stuff that most people can appreciate and little of everything else. I would like to see more of the more unusual fetishes, but Video Box can only post videos that are being made, and they do not make their own content.
My main point is that they are fast and reliable with a huge amount of content that always updates. This is important to me as a heavy downloader.

I have to be honest and say this is my favourite site out there and has been for a couple of years now. 5 full DVD's a day for less than $10 a month can't be sniffed at!
And I know that of those 5 I will only browse scenes from a couple, and ignore the rest because there are some pretty rubbish offerings out there, but they do try to cater to every taste, so there will be a lot of stuff I won't want to watch.
But for the price I certainly get plenty for my buck, and the comments on the truly hideous postings are worth the subscription fee alone, I haven't found a better site than this yet, whether its value for money, quantity of updates, or even scenes I would want to download...

I agree some here, I would love if VideoBox wrote out wich year the video was produced aswell when they added it. But VideoBox isnt the only one that does like this most sites that arent exclusive does this. The high ratin isnt that overated they do give you nice amount of vids and good quality and options for vids.

Fair assessment Denner. I too have come to appreciate my HD content and scoff and things that a few years ago I would have called fantastic. I start to wonder have we become snobbish?
The second point of your comment is equally apt. Like you I also wanted to like VB, but I found I spent more time looking for something I was interested in then enjoying it. In the end I find myself searching for quality over quantity.

I don't think this site or VB will ever be able to satisfy cystomer desire for HD porn because the bulk of their content was made prior to that type of video resolution. They will add more as time goes by but most of them are still using past porn to fill their library as opposed to newer stuff so it will take years before there is a huge amount of HD.

I just know that I agree with you. Most of us have upgraded our hardware over the years and an average DVD quality video just doesn't look all that great any more. I know that I have stopped downloading them.
I like Videosz but they cheesed me off back in March (April?) 2012 when they promised tons of HD updates during the month and did not deliver. I have been nervous of them ever since.
