Yeah, for all we know some of this stuff could eventually wind up being very hard-to-find. It could increase in value, like my old Sun Records 45's that I kick myself for having discarded some 30-odd years ago. I even had a Batman lunch box in the '60's. Shit!
I can see it now: "PornBay!" (Of course it would have to become public domain material first, I s'pose.)

Right now they have exactly 98 uncensored videos. I can't count the censored videos.The site also has a video clips section, but forget it, the quality is as low as it gets for those. This is basically a full video site.
Let me give you this scenario: If the western porn scene had these censorship laws, Silvia Saint for example, would always have the mosaic. Not only that, but it would be written into her contract that she couldn't be in a video without mosaic. Not only that, but she wouldn't want to be in a video without a mosaic. Different cultures.
A lot of these JAV stars are former actresses and high paid models. One was a TV star! This is just me, but I'm more interested in the Japanese porn culture, rather than the pure porn. The uncensored stuff is underground with actresses who weren't good enough to be JAV stars. A few movies had the mosaic removed in Tawain, but I think it's an expensive process.
I'll give you a pointer: If you join, go to the left hand menu on the main page, and click "Exclusive Programs". Then scroll down a bit and find the video "Super Body Models". it stars @You and 3 others. it's a good start, it's almost 4 hours! and has a thin mosaic.

I raise the "unattractive guys" thing as a con mainly as a response to the sentiments that I've seen expressed in this forum.
For my tastes, being an ordinary-looking guy, there's actually a cool element for me in all these ordinary looking guys having naughty fun with these hot girls in Japanese porn.
The bigger turn-off for me is seeing the Wicked and Vivid-style stuff where they're just looking for the guy to be a hard dick to use with the girl and there's no groping, stroking, squeezing of the luscious bods of the girls or any sign of attraction by the guys. I'm a member there Denner, it's one of the few sites that I let recur. At first the navigation is confusing if you are not familiar with the Japanese actresses. You don't know who are the "stars', etc, like you do with the sites you're used to. So what you have to do is start watching some videos, and discovering who are the biggies. It's kind of fun actually. I would start you off with Maria Ozawa. She's a huge star in Japan, if you go into the idols page, and find her, you will see her page with all her movies and photo sets.
I would also suggest Kaede Matsushima, who retired recently, and a girl who goes by the name of "@You".
This site takes a lot of getting used to for a westerner. When you find some girls that you like, a good idea is to google them, and find out more about them, and their status in Japan. And to also find out about the studios there. there is an absolute ton of premium Japanese porn, that's why they update so frequently.
Another idea is to browse through the phot sets. Not all of the girls there do AV porn, but those that do will have a link to their video page. So basically, it's like starting all over in porn again and learning who's who. If you like it, one month won't be enough. And if youi get hooked, try actionjav.com for a whole lot more.

Actually, aside from what they may look like, the Japanese men usually don't get in the way as the western men do. Almost all Japanese porn is focused on the girl, an IMO, is much better directed than western porn.

I started my membership on 27 December 2007, and didn't renew at the end of January which is why on my review I stated member approx. 4 months prior to this review.
I still think the comment is worth leaving though as a warning to ensure others are aware and if they have any issues that they should email their support to get it sorted.

Most of the other sites that I go to expose me to models that I don't recall seeing before but took a liking to and wanted to see more of. A search on VideoBox almost always provides me with a number of scenes I haven't seen of those models. It's like a "Mr.Skin" for hardcore porn for me. On top of that, I can just browse recent additions in general and have access to numerous scenes that I haven't seen before.
The only negative I can think of that I'd add to my original review is that VideoBox can expose you to so many scenes of individual models that it can totally kill any interest you have in that model for some time or forever. It's over-exposure in some cases.
It's not an end-all-be-all of a site, but I cannot think of any porn site that I have gotten more use out of. And I don't have a premium membership - I just don't see the point. To me, that's like buying an HDTV and not subscribing to any HDTV channels.
To put it simply, VideoBox doesn't represent a woman I'd marry or make my girlfriend, it's my address book of booty calls, figuratively speaking.

Maybe it is a fetish, even though at least currently 42% say they dig 'em. But maybe it has to be more like an obsession to be a fetish, like guys who become shoe salesmen 'cause they're so totally into the twinkle toes? I'm not really sure. Maybe it's a niche.

Glad to hear that you have no issues with most sites. I have heard of more people over seas from here having more issues with speed, but it does not seem to be everyone and it is not constantly the same sites they have issues with. Perhaps they are getting unlucky with a few sites and assuming it is because of location.
Either way, the videos on the sample page did not look like they were of that high of quality anyway! There were 1500 KBit/s which is "okay" but these did looked more like 500K videos than 1500K.

The "Add to Favorites" feature here at PU is for following remarks submitted by other users who's opinions you've come to value.
For example, I notice you tend to like Drooler's reviews. So, if you used the "Add to Favorites" from his profile page, you would find it easy to see his latest remarks, even if you'd been away for a few days.
As for changing the home page ...
No, I don't think there's been any significant changes recently. Of course we added the link to the new users' forum but the "Browse Users" link is still there too.

I would say that a 20 minute scene should be around 500 MB, 200 can be getting pixelly when they movie fast. Of course this only counts if the original and the compression method are good.
There is a certain appeal to the 8 MBit video though. It does look great, but unless you are going to spend good money on a system to store and play it loses its appeal. Brooke Sky has some 8 MBit video that looks wonderful as well.
Personally I do not worry about file size too much, but I can see many people fretting over 2 GB per scene. Unless you want to start dropping $100 for 500 GB drives you are not going to be able to keep very many of these 2 GB'ers on hand. But on the bright side, at least it is not at Blu-Ray Bit rate!

Doesn't do anything for me, either. I've actually rejected stuff 'cause the girls had braces, and I've only accepted them when the girl was so hot I couldn't pass up. But then I'd be tossing out pics with the too-obvious orthodonics.
My first reaction to seeing braces on the girl is always, "Aw, shit."

Oh no! I only looked at the site because you mentioned having issues with the preview videos, so i thought I would look at them to see if this was affecting everyone you just seemingly you. Plus, they are samples (FREE!) so it did not cost me anything to check.
I have heard of many people having issues with many site when accessing from Europe. Most of that stuff is transmitted by satellite to get over seas. Downloads should still be okay unless they are throttling the connections, but that would give a minimum half a second delay on everything no matter what the connections are like. Speed of light governs this.
How is your connection to other US sites?

It didn't sound like they cared about downloading so much as getting people's complaints about the stream being jittery. What the webmaster said makes perfect sense to me.
But, Denner, I do have to agree that 1980x1080 is not absolutely necessary. Many people have great looking videos at a fraction of the file size. InFocusGirls and ALS for example, they both have great looking videos at 400-800 MB depending on length, granted they are usually shorter. Good a 2 MBit video with great filtering can look better than a n average 6 MBit video, and be that much smaller in size saving us and the webmasters both space and bandwidth.
Consider, 2.5 GB at 8 MBit/s would be just shy of 42 minutes long. At 4 MBit/s the same video would be 1.25 GB, obviously. InFocusGirls uses that bitrate, although the resolution is 1280x720, they still look great. Plus those videos play easier. Not everyone can use a high end computer for porn watching. I would say for them to keep that in mind when posting new videos. Perhaps posting both sizes would be the thing to do. I am not a member currently, so I can not say if they do that or not.

Denner, try the site again. I just downloaded a few of the sample videos and they came in quick. It "should" work fine for you, either you got there at a slow time or you are the unlucky one that their site will not send stuff too. It seems every site has an unlucky user! I downloaded 3 videos at once and it peaked off my 3 MBit connection here.

I have had another site do that to me as well, but I can not remember who it was, if I do I will post it. This is like paying for a month's rent at the first of the month and telling the land lord that you wont be there next month. Then he telling you that you have to be out tomorrow since you dont plan on paying for the next month's rent and not allowing you to finish out the whole month you paid for.
They do not want to give you anything if they think they will get no more from you. Plus it is easy to forget to cancel a membership by a certain day a few weeks after finishing a site, so they are hoping you will forget until a few days after and get to charge again!
