It's what their members want - or at least the vocal ones - whenever there's a scene that doesn't include anal, there's always very highly rated comments complaining about that.

Excellent review, Denner. You hit the nail right on the head in your cons section. My personal rating for this site would be closer to 80. I just let the four month subscription lapse because I haven't seen anything new and exciting in a long time. There is too much of a pre-occupation with anal and not enough attention paid to fetish and niche material. I know that anal was considered to be a fetish at one time but now, with every second (at least) DVD being anal it's become main stream. Just hope that all the anal lovers will have had their fill soon and we will be able to get something else now and then.

Good review. The search process, as Denner says, is virtually useless. name searches return totally random results. If (a big IF) a model is correctly identified with a correctly spelled name in a scene, you have a better chance finding more of that model's stuff by clicking on the cast name in the scene than if you type the name in the search box.
With their huge inventory that grows at the rate of over 1,800 new DVD's per year, it's a real shame that they've failed so badly in the indexing process.
The price is right (esp. for the 1 year membership that I purchased), but the frustration I experience in trying to find scenes with specific babes makes the 85 score posted by Denner a bit high. I am more like an 82 myself.

To answer your question Mr Denner there are about 40 videos and around 120 photosets and all the sets are nude - it is an art-nude site after all. And Laetittia has become my new favourite :)

I tend to like the 3-month deals since it lowers the monthly cost. I just went for their 3-month deal fairly recently, though, so I'll probably pass on this one - but it's a good deal for people like me that gravitate to 3-month joins on an ordinary basis.

OK - so you can upgrade a few ways - when you join, you can choose premium channels - and they'll make very clear what the costs are. If you're looking at a scene in a Premium channel and click "Download", there will be a pop-up that will explain exactly what the costs are and you have the option to close the pop-up or to click through to the upgrade with the costs as specified, or you can click on "Upgrade Now" banner in a premium channel and you will get a pop-up describing what the costs are - and again you can choose to click through to upgrade or close that pop-up.
In every scenario, I believe that they're doing a good job of spelling out the costs with little risk of charges that catch a member by surprise.

I've just joined MET (1 month only and it will be my last one forever!) because of this discussion.
Ok, naked girls might be a reason to join the site BUT after all MET does not stand the standards of today!
Compared to other sites the images are always mid or just low resolution, you can kick 3/5 of there archive because the images often over-sharpened, blurry or just plain boring.
In the galleries the browsing experience sucks. It's like the Ugh-factor is hitting me like a stone. Who the hell is still using the popup feature from the Stone Age? I don't want to use my browser's back button over and over again anymore.
MET finally has 3-5 top photographers that kept my head up but that's it :/
And something I nearly forgot, I never felt to be welcome in the memberzone. It's plain black and dreary and has additional promotion of other sites and that's something I can't accept as a paying customer!

Yeah - look at Babes.tv before and after the re-design.
Before the re-design, their updates had a definite personality. They were either glamour with a particularly debauched feel to them or gritty, like their awesome Jade Hsu updates - way past her prime, but still compelling and very sexy.
After the site re-design, what have they posted that couldn't be posted on a million other sites?

This deal has been available since back either July or August, you get it automatically whenever you sign up from any one of their sites (except for eveangelofficial.com , that site is independent of the rest of the network).
This move was inevitable, as they had long since realized they could not continue packing 1by-day with two full updates every day. This has been backed down to one. One note, some of the content they are putting up on their sites, especially the lesbian & hardcore scenes, have previously been released on New Sensations dvds, though just not on DDF's sites until now.
If you have any questions over how current the sets are, DDF is one of a number of sites that forgets to remove dates of production from their files.

Yes, Denner, your radar is working! I did just rejoin AvErotica this month, but to give you an idea, I only picked up four photosets from the last 1.5 months. Most of the girls are looking good, Lena and Milla being two superfavorites, but Volkov is one of these "selective focus" types, which is a nice, techie way of saying that there's too much blurry shit.
As for the vids, I haven't peeked. But that's the Drooler we all know.

From what I can tell they seem like one of the more unscrupulous among the bigger sites/networks. Pre-checked cross-sale that recurs at 30$ after 2 days, their own trial that recurs at 40$ after 2 days, advertising HD-content and then limit new members' access to it, maybe there's other things as well.
I've only been a member once, more than a year ago, don't think I'll join again in the near future. Their fixation on big (fake) breasts and big dicks doesn't appeal to me, in particular the latter is starting to annoy be in porn, all those humongous boners that are impossible to give a proper bj and also threatening to tear the models apart.

I joined the EA upgrade and I thought that VB did a good job at making it clear exactly what I was doing when I did it. I believe that it would be difficult for a non-upgrade VB member to be sucked un-knowingly into an upgrade with their current set-up.

We double checked to see if any warning was necessary and didn't find anything wrong with how Videobox was offering their premium channels. There was no pre-checked cross sale and the upsell offer inside the members area is very clear. It all looks separated well in the members area as well.
I'll add a note about the premium channel in the site facts, but it looks legit to us.
Let me know if we're missing anything.

Yeah they added a new deal with Evil and Vivid about 6 months ago or more. Once you're a member, you rarely (*never it seems to me*) so Vivid or Evil Angel updates. You can click the tab to see those updates and preview the scenes though. But on just the regular VideoBox page, I haven't come across those updates at all in my regular browsing of the website - and I visit multiple times a day to see every update.

I'm still pissed about the misleading (fraudulent?) Danni's Pledge and how they totally misrepresented their DRM policy when they had it.
They promised that anything downloaded would continue to be accessible even after a member resigned so long as it was not moved to another drive.
I loaded up some external hard drives based on that promise, only to find out they lied. Even after signing up again my entire stash remained inaccessible.
That experience left a very bad taste in my mouth and should be a warning to others who believe the site actually cares about its customers.
