Thanks for your kind words. I get so many advantages from reading other's reviews here that I feel compelled to put some effort into mine so that people might find them useful. And I should add that the PU's increasing the allowable length of reviews makes it so much easier to capture everything important.
In my reply to gaypornlover, I said that the biggest problem was the sheer number of broken links, but after thinking about your comment re the wide chasm between file quality, I'm unsure which is the bigger problem. They're both bad. We can be certain that the file resolution was a conscious decision they made, and maybe it makes sense for them if most of their customers prefer mp4 files. But other sites offer HD wmv files so it can be done. And when checking file specs for the review i was really surprised to see that wmv file quality has actually decreased. That makes no sense.
But... for all its warts, I'd still recommend the site since it really does give access to a huge quantity of really well done porn. In his review last year, exotics4me stated that the site s great for those of us with a large collection of DVD porn who want to "round out your collection nicely." That's a big draw for me since this was a way to get some exclusive scenes of some favourite models that I couldn't get anywhere else.

6 Videos per day limit is practically committing piracy suicide! Reality kings has a limit of 15 per day which I thought was bad enough. This is a definite turn off when it comes to making your porn money count. I am with on saying they will not see my money with those sort of limits in place.
Another thing i hate about daily limits is that if you are away for a day you give up those downloads. Also, many of these places that limit the amount of videos are actually limiting the amount of attempts. So if your download stops for whatever reason you lose that attempt. Any site that wishes to limit the amount of videos a user can download should at least allow them to roll over and keep track of the last few videos being downloaded so that they can resume the download if need be without being ripped off.

it`S only a trial price but it`s money what will be withdrawn from my credit card. but i think i will contact the epoch support because there are some more strange things going on there (read my next comment)
no click on a salebox - just taking my money- if it would be more then a trial price, then i would have done more against it, because imo that is close to fraud.

about long term members - they can still make mistakes, and i assure you this is the case, theres no way he would be signed up automatically... epoch does not allow hidden xsales and i have never used pre-checked xsales..
about the ADs on the members area.. i think its quite usual.. they are called upsells.. but not sure why you were afraid to click on them? did you ever get cheated by other site?
they are banners just like the ones you see anywhere else.. you buy if you want no-one is playing tricks or forcing the users to do anything...
sorry if i sound pissed but there are tons of sites out there doing hidden xsales, double pre-checked xsales, singles prechecked xsales while all we do is offer one single trial through un-checked xsale...
would be way easier to just cheat ppl to take their money.. but we dont do that.. so yes i get mad if we are accused to do so when we are not...

k, 4 dl simultan sounds like having the possibility to let dl manager used. i favour dl manager because i klick 15 minutes around all videos i like to have and the have a bunch of 100s of gb dowlnoaded while i can go to sport, watch tv or go to work. that`s the reason why i have terrabites of videos at my hdd`s :o)

Big thumbs-up for this review - finally we get a an all round review of this network - WITH substance!
The pros here are the fact, that the site/network has a lot of different models, easteuro, latinas ect. - and NEW models - that's all great.
Some scenes also have the right kind of 'foreplay' - both a kind of strip/posing, teasing ect....
But the cons here are just too much for me: This Torbe character himself - on purpose ugly, fat and with those false teeth - well, read TheSquirrels whole review - it'll give you the picture - and still the appearance of this Torbe in the scenes is a major turn-off - to watch.

This site (and the bonus sites) has a number of attractive models. Which is why I joined. But poor navigation and other flaws make the membership less of a value. Zips would be nice, search would be nice, a model listing would be nice, etc.

It's been a long time since I was a Twistys member.
The main focus, as I remember, are the photos.
They do have videos. But mainly softcore or midcore, from what I recall.
One positive for you might be that your skinny white girls are in the minority. The girls have medium or large (but not massive) breasts.
They do have a large selection of models, most of the better-known porn names. Almost all white. But not just teens. Many are in their twenties.
For $9.95, it's probably worth the fee.
Unless they charge you the higher fee in euros or pounds.

You hit it right on the spot, there - two only reasons I joined (trial) was the almost nothing trial-price - AND the fact that some of the previews looked quite decent - and thats whats easy to fall for at sites completely unknown to you - cheap or not.
But again this tells about some kind of sites and their socalled "previews" - and again, if we don't try it, we'll never know - so I'm kind of happy to have spend less than $3 and give the warning to fellow users here.
But of course your're right in the other matter: You get what you pay for..sometimes.
It can also be the other way around - you pay the high price $34 or more and get dissapointed (Teenrotica, for one - at this moment). A high price is certainly not always a garantee...

That's what I thought when I subscribed long term but I won't renew once the year (10 months?) is up because I, too, have not been downloading much.
I have been a member on and off for years and have all the old stuff that interested me then. Actually I don't because I deleted all 640x480p videos that weren't sharp enough for my taste. HD has spoiled me.
The new stuff is mostly run of the mill to me. And since I don't download anything BUT HD contents there's usually a long wait between downloads. I wish I were as undemanding as most, who don't seem to mind to look at yesterday's quality.

Hey Squirrel, I normally don't stream all that often, most of the time I just do it for the first minute or so of a video to see how it starts, but the jerkiness has been very obvious right from the start of a scene. At first I blamed my ISP but all other sites streamed and downloaded at their usual speed so it had to be VB. Re. downloads, I normally get my full speed (2.35MB/s) out of VB but it seems to have been cut in half. Today I couldn't get better than 1.00MB/s. Their popularity might do them in yet!

I was really tempted to match your score but I gave them a couple of extra points because what annoys me about the site may be more of a personal nature. I do agree that quality vs quantity would be a much better approach. There is way too much repetition. Mind you I can appreciate their budget restraints because I don't think they charge enough. It's strabge to think that a site I scored in the high 90's a few years ago has dropped to barely above 80.

The two main points for me that you make:
1. Mostly low quality bargain basement porn.
2. Hard sorting the good quality from the bad because there is so much bad quality.
I'm getting lazy in my old age. In spite of a low price and massive content, I no longer have the patience to search through the garbage to find the gems. And like messmer says, I've been spoiled by high quality videos to bother watching most low-quality DVDs.

Nice to see you do a review again, Squirrel. I always enjoy reading them. I, too, still miss American Vice for the same reason you do, not enough niche material on VB. But main stream is their bread and butter and they don't dare touch that formula because every time they issue an update that breaks the mold the mob goes crazy with condemnation and threats of unsubscribing. I am glad that your speeds are finally improving. Here in Atlantic Canada it has always been fast for me. I normally download at 2.35 MB/s (my top speed). Navigation within VB3 can be atrocious, though.
As to quality, I've given up. I can no longer stand DVD quality because most of it looks blurred in full screen, so I download HD contents only. It certainly limits my choice but for $ 12.00 a month I'm not complaining. As always, thanks for giving us your unique perspective. Wish you'd find more sites to do reviews on. :-)

I do my downloads through Firefox's DTA and get a very decent download speed, Squirrel. My problem is when it comes to connecting to the site itself and then, once I'm in, with the sticky navigation from page to page. Many times I will click on a picture or link and it either doesn't respond or it takes an eternity before it does. The streaming itself hasn't been too bad for me, just the navigation. VB3 appears to be better in that respect so I have started to use it even though I like the old format better.

I'm not surprised to hear that there is no customer service. I suspect that the site is just so big now that customer service just isn't on the menu any longer. I don't think I've ever had to contact them for anything so I have no experience with the customer service.
I can't say I've experienced the speed and distortion problems that you report. I use Free Download Manager to allow we to queue up a bunch of scenes and then leave it to run on its own and my normal DL speed is 1880KB/sec.
I realize that it is a personal preference, but give some thought to trying them again. Customer service probably remains as bad, but the other issuse may have been fixed.

We're both in the same boat, squirrel. I, too, have looked for an alternative but after just having finished a long term subscription to VideosZ I can tell you with confidence they are no better. Porn.com angered me with some of the stunts they pulled re. updates plus the overly cautious sign-in procedure you have to go through, so what's left when it comes to DVD sites. Sure miss American Vice even though they, too, were offering mediocre material toward the end, most likely from lack of cash.

Really? I never had any problems with download speeds, sometimes during what I'm sure are peak download times it would slow a bit. Perhaps you were logging in at bad times or they had technical problems when you were a member? Certainly not the best download speeds, I'm sure they use a ton of bandwidth.
I agree that a lot of people probably join the site and think "holy shit, what a ton of content", but in my experience I have typically only downloaded like one scene out of every 10 DVDs (which is not a good ratio) - and I probably end up going back and deleting 50% of those later...

BTW: yes, Squirrel - the download speed is something a noticed too. Have to used dl-manager just to get 600 kb/sec - else it's about 3-400 at the most.
Another BTW: Now they have this 'Special Notice' at the top when you log in: 'Reactivate Now'.....

The latter is something brand new, Squirrel. When I was still a subscriber they didn't offer the extra channels. I really can't see where that would be of any benefit to anyone if one has to pay for them. They don't appear to be cheap.
