I should probably point out that the problems I had (they seem to be fixed now) seemed to be mostly associated with VB3 and the add-on channels that require VB3.
And I sure agree with you on the content issues. I stand by my position that VB could improve by offering one or two good updates per day rather than five crappy ones. And the constant use of repackaged and reposted scenes in a major annoyance. The only good news is that the other users will usually point out a repost.

On the duplicated content, the only place I ran into a lot of overlap was on the biggest known stars. Like Eva Angelina, Jenaveve Jolie, the ones with 100+ scenes. If you search more by the DVD series than individual models, the overlap isn't bad at all and as my comment below about Tainster shows, Tainster's webmaster said they have an exclusive deal with Videosz to have their DVDs of their exclusive content. I'm going to do a multi-month membership this time just because I don't feel like I saw maybe 1/10th of what all they have.

Monahan - I'm reluctant to give you a definitive answer because I haven't been a member at Videosz for a while and for some reason I didn't review the site so I have nothing to help my memory. My recollection, though, is that while there is some overlap that it wasn't too bad. I recall that I though both sites were still a good value and that both were worthwhile. Consider posting this query on the forum and you may get some better answers.
I wish I could be of more assistance...

Thanks for the comments. I agree that when a scene is posted as a compilation the users usually identify that and many even note the difference. In a lot of cases one scene has been edited and runs shorter.
I also agree that it is frustrating that the site gets so many performer's names wrong. But again, the users usually step in and provide the name.
And thanks to everyone else who took the time to reply.

Pink Panther was talking about not getting any results when he looked for a particular star and was not aware that one could search for stars. "There is no pornstar listing." You are right, though, Monahan, the search function itself could be better.

Yeah i think i got the 12 dollar price only because of my membership i had with them a while ago. I used a different browser than the one i use normally and only seen the 15$ price.

I agree, I have done the same thing, but it sort of annoying to go between IAFD or something and VB when they could just add a decent search function. They also seem to often have some comically incorrect model photos. I get the feeling the just don't care, their membership is probably very high, and site functionality and design improvements probably wouldn't make it any higher.

really my biggest gripe was the slow download speeds. a huge database is great but if it takes forever to download something ill lose interest quickly

I agree with you on this issue. The search function isn't as good as it could be simply because of some errors in entering the information. I suspect that this is a result of the sheer volume of files being added each day. VB has five updates as you know, and I'm assuming that both bonus sites have a least one update each day. I'm a VB fan, but this site is more about quantity (and value) than quality.

Thanks for your comment Monahan. You do have a point that they should try to clean it up, and I'm the same as you are in this regard, I wouldn't even mind paying a few extra bucks if that's the cost.
As for rating the site (points), in my opinion it's really a matter of perception. I was considering giving them a lower score, and I probably would have if I paid more for it, but at $14.95 a month I feel I got exactly what I paid for. It's kind of like the same as with Walmart... you don't expect it to be the best looking, nicest and perfectly organized store in the city, but rather to put up with minor inconveniences in order to get a really good value / price on the products you purchase. I hope this makes sense. :-)

It's my main objection to this site - like stated above by Monahan - AND the uncertainess (is that english?) of the quality of videos: You find what looks like a possible favorite - and then you get half-blurred videos - EVEN at the socalled DVD-quality - cannot still get over that fact...

Offering new content is never a bad thing but Videobox made a marketing blunder with these new channels. They should have sold them as separate Web sites and maybe give a discount if you joined two or more.

I was checking out the price of those premium channels -- $18! Considering a regular membership, with its access to so many DVDs, starts at $10, I cannot believe that people would really want an extra channel for that much cash. Does Evil Angel = evil price?

It sounds really good. Even the old Videobox site was superb so it's great to know they're improving it further.
Last time I was a member, there was no mention of the new site - I may join for another month soon though, so will be able to check out the benefits first hand.
The incorporation of a flash player is certainly a very welcome addition!

Monahans obesvations are correct. I personally think that the "DVD quality" vids are not good enough when compared to the filesize. Usually files this big look much better. There is not enough clarity and the colours are washed out compared to the best sites out there.

I agree that this should be a trend that catches on. Most sites use multiple cameras so I'd like to see more user options to see those other views. If the editor wants to show me some guy's hairy ass I could use a different view. I find the woman's facial reactions more arousing than a hairy male ass.
