Messmer, I wish I could answer your question precisely, but it's been over nine months since I was at the Archives, and this was long before my external hard-drive, so I put everything I download from there on CD. It would take a lot of time to find the material, since I have tons of CDs.
If I remember correctly, most of the earliest pics are probably 800 X 600, but more recent pics are larger, yet still small by today's standards. Quality-wise, the oldest pics from the Archives are pretty bad, these being from the late nineties. What is frustrating for me is that while the pic size and quality were poor in those days, the style and content of the pictures were more appealing to me: more amateurish/girl-next-doorish as opposed to arsty/slick/glamorous, more old-school undies as opposed to thongs, butt-floss, and various kinds of shorts posing as panties, less tattoos and piercings, etcetera.
I don't know if they tried to upgrade the condition of old pic sets, sorry. If memory serves, I don't think so. Bear in mind, I cut my teeth in the old Newsgroups which posted pics from ATK all the time, and I was happy to be able to go and find the complete sets for most of those pics. That went a long way in making my experience with ATK's Archives more pleasurable. I suppose I was slightly biased.
Playboy glam is a perfect way to sum up this site. It would have been the best site on the Internet in the mid-80's -- if they had an Internet back then.
I'm personally not a fan of sites like this simply because of what you point out. Too much airbrushing of an already gorgeous model. The content here is somewhat overly processed, but I understand that's what most guy's like.
I certainly cannot argue with the gargantuan amount of content that is available here though.
I'd say that erohtica is one of the best in terms of the way it's organized. There are often several free samples of photoshoots from some of the sites listed there. It was from them that I discovered larger pic sizes (2000px) recently at danni, for instance. But I've also run into some disappointing sites from them, too, and a new poll idea (this one) came into my mind.
I mentioned a few others in a reply just before this one. These "portals," for lack of a better term, at least that I could come up with, are a varied lot.

What you're describing is a TGP (Thumbnail Gallery Post) and *many* of them operate with a redirect script running for traffic exchanges. Typically the webmaster will set what percentage of the traffic (clicks) is redirected. When the percentage is set very high, you may hear the site referred to as a CJ (Circle Jerk).
Not having to put up with such tricky redirects is one of the advantages of joining pay sites.

Abby Winters is threatening to leave ATK behind. AW is nothing for photos, really, though, and the girls do tend to look alike, but the treatment of the models is free of the stupid photog chatter. Of course, most of the AW photogs are women, too.
God, just forbid the photogs to speak on the ATK sites and that will help a lot!

No problem. I have jealous of that connection though, i am now where near that here! I have found only a few sites that would be any issue with a 15 MBit connection. Most site I have been to in the past year or so will go at least 30 Mbit, and many in the upper 40s.
Does you cable company give you any bandwidth restrictions? Most have a monthly limit, or a some sort of hourly limit based on the time of day. Some of the limits can be pretty harsh.

Glad to see your review of this site. Can you advise if the videos are available for complete download in one single file (i.e. can you save full movie with one click)? Are videos available in Windows Media format? Appreciate your insight.
So you have a 15 MBit connection, is this at home? That would certainly be nice, I can only get 3 here. Usually bits are used for connection speeds and such and bytes are used for file sizes. I would not call my self all that technical either though :)
Messmer, careful on the speed rating. The way you denoted the speed it would be faster than a 15K rpm fiber channel hard drive, which most like non of us have. I am assuming you meant KByte/s, but be careful with the difference between KByte and KBit. It is safest to type it out rather than risk confusing people on something as important as speed. Sorry to give you a hard time, this is a petpev of mine! :)
Well...for years I went for photos - back when videos were, yes, really bad in quality.
But time changes along with taste.
I never really understood why some PUs (quite a lot) still - only - goes for photos/stills.
But, man - that may also be a matter of taste and of course what turns you on...
Finally, I don't think there's any cause for an apology in this matter - a photo-fan is a photo-fan.

Strangely enough I agree to SOME extend - I certainly get your point. Mostly I'm into solo-girl videos - and earlier the Twistys site itself was better than now - and yeah, lately SOME of these videos are getting more and more boring in a way of repeating themselves. (I don't see the photos much)
But what I was quite taken by at this latest membership was that you get the bonus sites (Anette Dawn and Blue Fantasies) in the deal for the 20 bucks. And I was probably most taken by the extra deal with two days full access to Nubiles (one of my favorites) for a couple of bucks - a site where you normally has to pay $30.
These days I actually does not download anything from Twistys....

Whether you love or lough airbrushed beauties, there is something that will attract you to this site, but after a while, you lose whatever attracted you to the site in the first pace. Twisty are limited, they don’t produce their own content, which means they limited to what they buy in, no one really gets a say, which is s shame, because they have crack everything else apart form the content side
I left, as I was getting fed up of the above, and then it looked like there was an in case of girls from the Eastern European country, some are great looking, but there is just something not right, I a leg lover, so we I see a great face, the legs will be naff on these girls normally, or there are no boobs.
99% well it is a good site at what it does, and it does say it does anything than it does, but there is always room for improvement. I believe that you can peruse ATK Galleria's model listing before joining. I wouldn't know otherwise, how much of an overlap there is between those 2 sites' models, aside from the fact that I didn't see much in the way of hairy models when I was a member of ATK Galleria - which I consider to be good thing.
