I was recently a memeber for 2 months. I thought the site was great. But I canceled because during the second month becuase the download speeds got extremely slow. I emailed asking what happen to the site with no response. I even tried downloading at different times of of the day, (4 AM) the speed got a little better but it could take well over an hour to download the various clips for the video. One evening it took almost an hour just to download the zip file. I plan on joining again because I thought the site was well worth it but if the speed issue is not addressed I doubt I will join or recommend.

Messmer, as the webmaster of inthecrack I really have to set the record straight on this one. There is NO DOWNLOAD LIMIT on inthecrack.com. You certainly didn't see that on inthecrack. Presumably you saw that on thebestporn. thebestporn is simply wrong on this one.

dl limits, equal in which quantity, is a total site joining killer for me.
in times where hq videos take arround 500 gb space, is every dl limit a smash in every users face!

I am sure sure there are some that must be paid for. But if you google them yo can find them. Most of the time there is not any decent sites on these listing anyway, most of the higher grade sites have ways of preventing numerous IPs from signing in under the same user name

Well yes certainly. That works a lot like the Thumbnail Galleries. But I have also seen a good bit of exclusive content their as well.
Yup, password sites exist! This is why there is many sites that have download limits and make you sigh in ever hour or so.

"A Studied Casualness", good term - yeah, that might not be up my alley, but I'll have to check it out none-the-less. I'm certainly quite used to casual style in videos, I'm just usually less of a fan in photos. I guess, I won't know for certain until I browse the site for a while. Thanks for all the info :-)

Well. That could be a little of both. many people put stuff on there just to share with others and other people put stuff on their that they download. There is a good amount of content that is okay to be there, but there is also a lot of content that was bought by someone then posted for others to download for free, thus screwing the site owners and the rest of us who are paying the premium price. Usenet offers a way to steal content from websites with out ever touching the site.
I was mostly referring to websites that post hacked user names and password for everyone to use. Unlike usenet, this method still required the owners to pay for the bandwidth with out being able to collect any membership fees.

Thanks for the clarification - it validates my estimation of the content from their preview pages. I thoroughly understand how you've tired of the "perfect" model look, it can get boring. Years ago I was a member of both MET Art and Hegre Art (back when it was called the Hegre Archives) with year long subscriptions to each. By the time the year was up, just about the last thing I wanted was to look at another glamour girl posing in a window. So I joined a few ATK sites, and that was a nice departure from the glamour model look.
As for the technical aspects of the photography - I guess I'm a bit of stickler about that. A number of people like the poor photography that sometimes shows up on Suicide Girls (which I've been a member of off and on for years) - it always drives me nuts. It isn't just a matter of the photos being crisp and throughly in focus - modern autofocus is so superb that the camera will handle that just fine as long as there is even remotely enough light. An old Sony I had actually projected a laser matrix in front of it and would autofocus in nearly pitch black.
Even with "grit" porn, I expect a certain artistic focus. So you want to do aggressively unorthodox photos and put the photographer's feet in the photo? Fine - but make that style a continuing theme throughout the site. In the preview photos I see photos that could use much color balancing, plus others with washed out colors, flash shadows and so on. Many of the photos look like they want to be smoother, they just aren't.
If you want it to be gritty - photograph it at high ISOs. Throw various objects in the extreme foreground that we have to look past. Give us bizarre angles, like overhead or underneath shots. Photograph using just the on camera flash - or light the scene with a TV. There are tons of fun ways to look amateur while being professional - I just get frustrated by content that looks professional with some amateur seeping through.
Frankly, early Hegre Art stuff had a lot of that problem, he has come a long way over the years. I don't know how young Girls Out West is - maybe they too will improve with time, or maybe they know what they are doing and it just won't ever be quite to my taste. I'll join at some point in the future and try it out, a number of the models do look rather interesting.

Looks like an interesting site, I may have to check it out sometime in the future. Though it appears to have the same basic downfall of the amateur style that Abby Winters has, many cute models but very, very few beautiful models. At least as far as the photos they put in their tour.
The photography also appears to be sub par in technical skill when compared to Simon Scans or Abby Winters (in my opinion the big two in this genre) and your description seems to confirm this. (Am I right about that?) Still, photo shoots with less of an agenda can sometimes capture some very interesting moments. Plus, the site does seem to have a huge variety of models - more varied than either of the aforementioned sites - so that is appealing.

I understand where you're coming from. I'd love to be able to tell you that we can come through, but the problem is that for everybody who likes it a certain way, there is somebody who likes it the opposite way (if not quite a bit more in this case). Making a major change on something that has been done a certain way for many years can cause a big backlash from people who love the way things have always been done.
Toadsith's suggestion is an interesting one and something I've never considered. If you get a widescreen monitor, I would definitely look into getting a rotatable stand for it to see if it's a good solution.
BTW, I bought a 24" widescreen monitor over a year ago and absolutely love it. There is so much less scrolling needed. Just based on what you said above, I'm pretty sure you'll be happy if you decide to purchase one (even a smaller widescreen monitor would help significantly).

Yes how true, many men do not. On the other hand, does a map company "own" directions? Of course not because you could also go to Burger King and ask someone that is eating and get the same directions. It really comes down to would you have bought the map if the clerk could not answer you, or would you have simply ask someone else. However, the store clerk could have simply said to buy a map, but he chose not to. Cup half full or empty I guess.
If you look at a picture that you NEVER had the intention to buy than the photographer really has lost nothing if you look at it at your friends house because you were not going to buy it regardless. It does not cost the photographer money for each time a friend looks at another friends collection. Of course, a person should not copy their friend's collection, unless of course they want to pay a membership fee at least.
On that, it can be seen that password cracking sites are counterproductive to the porn community because even though a person may never had intended to pay for the pictures he is looking at, the owner still had to pay the bandwidth usage it took to download them. This means that the owner would never had mad any money off of you but he still had to pay for you to be able to look at them.
Gee, now I feel bad myself for using that password crack site while back. Kicking my own ass!

messmer, why not invest in a nice widescreen monitor with a rotatable stand and then just leave the monitor in portrait mode? Or even just align it that way when you are viewing photos.
Portrait for many stylistic and practical reasons is the popular trend right now, I doubt that'll change too soon.

I wouldn't accuse you either way, but we will not get into my views on the laws of piracy. Most of us have used something to see pictures without paying for them. No different than going to a friend's house and looking through their collection. Can be a good way to see who you want to subscribe to. No different than flipping through a magazine at the store before deciding to buy it.
Here is one for you. If a person goes into a store that sells road maps and get directions from the clerk, did the person steal from the store?

InFocus Girls, Nubiles, Zexy Teens, Xisty, Twistys, and others seem to have pretty small markings too.
I just checked out 40 somethings homepage, they dont even let you see a sample photo anywhere! From the outside of the site a person would never know that the watermarks are an issue.

I must agree with this. I have seen this in too many other places too. A small make can actually be nice so you can tell where the pictures, or videos even go. I like to keep things sorted by site and some have no markings and a year after downloading the video I usually do not have the slightest clue where it goes. But, they should be small.
Many of the nicer sites have a very small marking that must be looked for at times. I really do not like the large ones either, they really should blend into the picture. Every one will know who's it was since it is still there, but should not take away from the picture. Too many times have we seen the best part covered by these marking!

as i surfed arround in the net i was at My Lovely Girls. that`s quite a good site. it`s a little bit eastern europe style but i like sometimes the cheap settings and those kind of girls ;).
what i expected on that site i rated was what i found on this site. (ok a little more ... i alway epect more :) )

Cheers to that! I do prefer the term Mature as well - Cougar would be my second fav - though perhaps that is just because I like the idea of the so called Cougar (and that it has no bearing on the status of the woman's offspring).
