Thanks for the info on Kink, sounds like a reasonable way to get a sampling without having to join all the sites. How to the video specs compare with what you would get directly from Kink?

I see what you mean the price goes down as you get less of your membership left is this correct? If it is interesting pricing structure and something I've not seen before but then again not many sites do this channel thing, its maybe something other sites should look into, I guess setting it up would be quite a cost though.
I would only get scenes from the models I found attractive so wouldn't be getting too much, does sound good though and will keep a look out for your info when you join the channel. Cheers again for the info and what price it was and how many scenes you get.

Great Review as per usual from the boss of the informative reviews. Sounds interesting about the kink sites, be interested to know can you join the kink channel and see from all their sites, if so how much is it. Its one thing that has held me back joining many of the kink sites as I wouldn't want many of them on some of their niche sites, I don't care much for ladies with too much ink so would be just after the inkless or small tattied women, who are rare these days I know.

Nice review RA, I too forgot about this site for awhile.
Since lowering my storage I have swayed away from BULK-Blue light special porn LOL. But the site sure does a good job of making it look like the quality would be high by looking at he album covers. I was a member once before might be worth a peak.

Have not been at this site/place/network for quite a while.
The reason - after SEVERAL times of membership is the lack of real HD in the vids.
Judging from the score it seems to have gotten better - still the mention in cons:
"- Not a lot of HD material" ...makes me reluctant.
But RA's Bottom Line in general makes me consider again.

I'm not trying to sway you away from the RK channel, but it's very limited compared to the RK site. Using the TBP price, there isn't that much difference in the RK channel and the actual site. I know there has been some talk about RK's download limits, but believe me when I say they are not that bad. I have photos on imageshack of folders I downloaded a few months ago from RK. I did 5 days in a row, averaging 64 GB a day and didn't hit a limit once. I don't know if the limit is now on HD but I don't download their HD clips since they are long anyway, 30-45 minutes. A few years back, RK was pretty strict on DL limits, but they really have loosened up on them.
I have been intrigued by the Kink channel too. Though I don't really go for the harder content, I have always liked Ultimate Surrender, Public Disgrace and Fucking Machines. Plus I like anything with Dragon Lily in it and it seems like she is on several of their sites I haven't been on. Glad you mentioned that about prorating the price. I didn't know they did that. I may have to give the Kink channel a one week try the next time I join VB.

I am one of the few dissenters here. I joined them once and never went back. No customer service, the worst download speeds I have ever encountered (down to 1kb/sec on occasions!), regional discrimination, worst of all was the way the videos had the wrong dimensions so the bodies looked distorted. I have to admit I'm virtually on my own with my contempt for videobox.

Excellent review, rearadmiral. I agree with you that VB2 is better than VB3. At the end of my last subscription I ignored VB3 altogether. I did have a problem with the site because I found that not enough of the updates featured mature women while models from the 18 - 23 age range (your cup of tea) abounded but, who knows, with my changing tastes I might give the young 'uns another look! :-)

Going back to this, now that my membership is over, I am glad I took the Vivid/Evil Angel add-ons and felt the content released on them was better, over the month, than the content released on VB. Though I didn't try it out, when I went to cancel, the way I read it, you can continue the Vivid/Evil Angel subscriptions for $17.95 for both and cancel VB.

I'm not sure how fast fibre-ops speeds can get. That said, VB download speeds might not be consistent with the speed of your fibre-ops connection if it's super fast as I'm sure it depends on VB's servers as well.

Cannot agree more - VideoBox seems to have this deal in my mind: Give the suckers a LOT - video-QUALITY - what's that?

Good review and I agree that VB is the baseline site for any horndog into web porn.
One issue I've raised before and that I consider to be a major failing is their accuracy in their search capabilities with many misspellings and worse, their genre tags. (Gianna Michaels - small tits?????) Gianna Michaels spelled 10 different ways rendering a search for her stuff to be much messier tha n necessary, etc.)
I consider that carelessness/sloppiness to be a real problem with a site with as much content as VB has.

Hey rearadmiral,
I've become even happier with the Vivid premium channel as the membership goes on. I'm finding models I had forgotten about like Melissa Hill. The way I'm looking at it is I might join it once a year, maybe twice if an update stands out to me. So far, I've downloaded 27 GB from the Vivid channel, only 7 GB from Videobox, so it has been a good value for me. A lot of those 90s clips are in better quality here than I've ever seen them with standard DVD 640-720 high end resolution and bitrates in the 5000 range. A few still look a little dated, poor lighting/color, but I don't guess they can fix that since it is that way in the originals. Overall though, I expect to have around 50 GB just from the Vivid channel. You also don't see as much of the current nonsense in the hardcore clips, not much slapping, no spitting and probably less than half of the hardcore scenes end with facials. I'm not a fan of facials, so that was a plus too.

I had this happen to me on Eve Angel's site last year. The payment processor said that there is only a certain amount of months they can recur your account, without opening a new account. I don't know if this is some kind of new rule or maybe it could even depend on who you have your card with, they could be stopping it after so many months since there are so many scams these days that charge a person's card every month without them even noticing. The limit on mine was 12 months, after that, I had to go back and re-register. So, I wouldn't count on it being VB's fault. I know there has been a scam going where a place calls and says you have won X amount of free gas, to confirm your birthday, by pressing it in and somehow, they then have you "confirmed" into a coupon club that costs $15 a month. Then again, you aren't likely to get an answer from VB, I've sent them a dozen or so support mails over the years and never received a reply.
