Yes there are very few reviews on PU for me - I seem to have written half the gay ones! But I hope my contributions will be useful to somebody, and might encourage more gay people to join.
manholelover does some good reviews and has warned me off a couple of sites and introduced me to some new ones - sadly he's not around so much now but I try to keep in touch with him.
TBP are also good about doing a lot of gay reviews which is nice, though I wish they'd concentrate more on reviews of new sites instead of re-reviewing sites they've already done - sometimes several times. Still, I am grateful they do it at all.
There are also other "professional" review sites including ones devoted to gay porn only - it's interesting how much the scores vary between sites!
I still enjoy reading reviews here and taking part in the community, and the $550 I've won since joining has come in very handy too!

It is always so disappointing when you find a site which offers something rare that you're really into, only to find they've messed it up! Happens to me quite a bit - at least we have PU and some great contributors like yourself to warn us off them!

There have been no new updates since March 2008. Ole Cap must be out of commisson, maybe in dry-dock. They should revive this site with a new captain. FYI: it's park of Reality Kings.

On the PU page for BangBros there are several complaints about their billing practices. I suggest that PU/Rabbits look into the possibility of not doing business with them or at least have a talk about this possibility.

I agree - the site was always primarily a photosite but half-heartedly did add some videos later. Even then though they kept the photos, so even if you hated videos why would you demand they be removed as long as the photos remained?
To stop doing videos right in the middle of a series is particularly annoying and unfair to paying customers.
The irony is I never thought their photos were that great anyway - clear enough but hardly the big sizes you'd expect from a photo-only site.
All very disappointing. Even if they reversed this decision it puts me off rejoining the site because they seem to think nothing of reversing decisions on a whim, so who says they wouldn't do it again?
So many sites have great content wrecked by this awful attitude to customner service, sadly this is one of them!

I am not a video person, but I would never ask a site to stop doing video. It is quite absurd.

Thanks for a useful and informative review. I had this site bookmarked a few years ago as it used to be a free bonus site with Flasy Babes but that appears to not be the case now. I'm only interested in photos so not sure i'd have the time to "right click save as" my way through 49 sets on a 2 day trial right now but i'll keep that in mind next time i have a couple of days off.

Thanks to your review I visited the site, which previously was totally under my radar like it was for yourself as well, and I gotta say I liked what I saw there so I decided to see how much it cost to subscibe.
To my surprise there is currently a holiday sale running for 4.95$ a month.
I thought oh it is probably one of those 1 month deals only, that later revert to a full price subscription like so many sites do, but I thought it would be worth it to sub for 1 month for 5 bucks and cancel, but when I was going through the epoch billing process it actually states that no, this holiday price of 4.95$ will continue monthly for as long as you stay subbed.
5 Bucks a month for all this content is like a steal.

If I could see a real, live PU member at this site, I might consider joining.
Otherwise, I am left suspecting that many PU members are ghosts that only exist in the internet, not in the real world.
Please post your alias at the site, if/when they accept you for filming.
That's one scene I definitely want to watch.

Yeah this does seem very strange to have another site more expensive and much less content, not sure I really understand the logic behind it but I guess there must be something.
Metart for me is perhaps too big, it does take up lots of your time finding photos I actually like, I'm much more a random type of photo guy and erotic fashion photography especially, I also like girls in clothes to begin with which metart does do but not too often. One thing though you cannot deny is the quality of beautiful girls they have on the site.

Great review. It matches my own current evaluation of Met Art except I would give it a score closer to the high 80's.
The Met Art site has excellent navigation and its advanced search function is the best in the business.
BUT, until I saw this review, I was totally unaware that Club Met Art even existed. The site makes no sense unless they've got something up their sleeve such as making it a network with other sites or are thinking of expanding into heavier stuff like insertions or bg shots.

The preview page for Club MetArt gives very little information.
But what the preview page appears to show includes the 4 galleries for today's update at Club MetArt.
Those 4 galleries are the same 4 galleries for today's update at MetArt.
So I don't understand what the reason is for Club MetArt to exist.
Or why anyone would join the site - because the membership price for Club MetArt is higher than for MetArt, and Club MetArt gives you far less content.
Separately, what is your normal download speed? Just curious to compare it to my download speed.
I know you told me before, but my brain has trouble retaining facts (and ideas).
Just one of the benefits of growing older, I guess.
Still more separately: You state in your review you scored MetArt high.
You gave it a score of 88.
In my last review of MetArt, I gave it a score of 99.
In my first review of MetArt, which was also my first review at PU, I gave it a score of 97.
I've said that, in my opinion, MetArt is the best softcore photo site on the internet.
I paid for a lifetime membership to MetArt. Because I was tired of paying a monthly or yearly fee to join.
But you gave an excellent review of MetArt, and I can certainly understand why you scored it 88. And you were being generous, because, as you explained very clearly, the site contents did not appeal to your tastes. But your review of MetArt was detailed and informative, and clearly spelled out its strengths and weaknesses.

Thanks for another in-depth review. As a result, I re-upped after a 2-year absence.
In your remarks about bonuses, were you referring to the "bonus updates?" I can't download, only stream.
All in all, it's a great bargain and feel that I got more than my $10's worth, or whatever it was. However, I found the scenes so repetitious that I got bored fast. I know there's just so much you can do in offering variety and it's an issue I have with many sites.
Having said that, I am not a big collector. These days, I subscribe to a site for a month every few months or so. When I first started subscribing, it was all so new and exciting and I'd join several sites at the same time. Either porn has lost it's thrill for me due to lack of variety, or my libido ain't what it used to be. ;) Probably a little of both.

Thank you for the in depth review.
2 things I would like to explain:
- Mostly non-exclusive
This is correct. Due to the large scale of piracy ClubSeventeen produced less and less exclusive content as it was simply costing too much. The last 2 years we worked hard on a lot and our aim is to update with at least 80% exclusive scenes (compared to 60% right now) at the end of the year.
- Model names are often incorrect
This is correct too. Not sure how this is actually decided on but our content guy does seem to make up a lot of names. In his defense we DO get a lot of content where we simply don't know the stage name. But yeah I do agree that this should be done better. Or we could at least work with an alias so you can always find your favorite girl.
A question about the bonus content I don't fully understand. What I think is that you are talking about our portal content? Cause our bonus scenes are completely free to stream full videos from various partners. Now the portal scenes are paid for scenes. So I do think you are mixing these up.
Overall great to see you took the time to write the review. We will take everything into account and of course will act when possible.

Piracy is annoying but very prevalent in the industry. But you learn to adapt and keep security tight. I'm certain that many of the reviewers here understand that to a lot of us webmasters this is our lively hood, and to many of the models as well. Piracy means we don't get members, which trickles down to models & photographers not being paid etc. I'm happy to hear that you respect that and continue to support the industry, thanks you.
