One thing I've got to point out that adds to the questionable nature of this review is the comment about "bonus sites and other features have been added."
I'm currently a member. My membership is about to elapse. There is a "Bonus" page, but when I click on it, it is blank - there is no "bonus" content. Please explain what you mean by your comment.
Otherwise I've got to conclude that this is a BS advertisement instead of an honest review.
There is a lot good about this site and it doesn't need to be overly hyped.

What I think of when I see the term "Lost" sets are sets that were not released at the time that the model was at her "hottest" or most in acclaim and then the web-master didn't think about her again for a long while. That certainly happens with ALS Scan. They shoot a LOT of material and their releases are guided by member feedback as well as the desires of the owner/director Alex. So it's easy for him to get more involved in releasing sets of newer models and have a stash of stuff that he shot of models that people stopped talking about - and then some member will e-mail him about "how come we never saw that one girl's set where she was sticking gum balls in her pussy?"
And he's say "Oh, yeah! I totally forgot about that! I'll put it on the schedule!"
It's not lost, it's just forgotten and never released.

Are there really people in this forum that are into porn as a rebel act? I once watched one of those talk-show things on porn - must have been in the mid-80's. There was a right-wing clergy-man, Andrea Dworkin, who was a well-known anti-porn feminist and Bill Margold. At one point, Bill Margold starts turning red and screaming at the clergy-man "It's your fault! You and all the repressive right-wing types are why there's a porn industry!" I thought it was truly weird that the guy that was there to claim that porn was not a problem was taking this line - and seemed really serious about it, given how upset he was.

They've got such a big name in the industry because of their stars - they've shelled out to have the hottest contract girls - and wasted the opportunity by churning out crap so they could have a constant stream of stuff out there for business people to rent in hotel rooms - at least that's my theory. It's amazing to think what people with talent could have done with their contract girls. Such a waste.

Well, Danni blew it on the lack of auto-e-mail confirmation, but I can't fault them on their Customer Service responsiveness. When I e-mailed them, they responded in 5 minutes.
Unlike Private.com, where not a soul has responded to me in several weeks and at least a dozen attempts by me to get a response through their site and an e-mail address where they had reponded to me on another matter - they are just thieves, I'm sorry to say. They're up there with the crap=heads that run MyaDiamond.com

Why?
Well, the resolution on their pics has improved over the past few years, but get this - the pics on Vivid's site are smaller than the pics that you'll find that purport to be samples of the pics on Vivid's site - that's a flat-out rip-off, in my book.
The pics on the site are very poorly organized.
Think of what they could be doing - they've got their stars. They're doing promo photo-shoots. They're doing shoots at events.
They're doing "action" pics during filming. They're doing BTS shots.
They could be organizing things in various category by star by movie name and by event. But instead everything is a freaking mish-mash.
You can find galleries by star name that are a mish-mash of stuff, mainly action pics from filming, many of them very repetitive, poorly shot crap.

For me it varies as to when I make my decision and how solid my decision is. If I'm decided for sure that I'm cancelling a site, then I cancel - regardless of when the renew date is. I'd rather give the site time to process the cancellation. If I'm on the fence about cancelling, I might well wait until a couple of days before the renew. cc-bill is very dependable about processing cancellations even with that kind of notice. Other sites and processing companies aren't as good.
The Bad New Trend - no confirmations. Private.com still refuses to communicate with me - and I've e-mailed and used their form on their site many multiple times. Since they never responded to my refund request, I cancelled again - again no e-mail response and my membership info still works - so they must have charged me again - so now I'll e-mail them over & over and write to my credit card company as well.
I decided to try Danni.com for a month - no e-mail confirmation when I joined and when I cancelled, they had all these next screens coming up where they want you to comment and the last one I filled out led to a blank screen - so am I cancelled or not? No e-mail confirmation - but I got none when I joined either - unprofessional crap!

Well, when you ask about "good erotic taste", you're definitely getting into subjective territory. One person's good erotic taste is another person's sub-standard crap. But having recently had a brief 8-day membership to the site as a bonus to 1-by-day, I found that this was the "niche" DDF site that kept me coming back to it most often during that period. There's a lot of material - I think they had 3 full sets of pics and vids per week, plus a casting special. The women are hot, there's a variety - if you like nylons or bare legs - younger, more mature, slender, more voluptuous, etc.
The vids are really well-filmed and show off the assets of their models beautifully.
That's my opinion anyway. And the reviews on this site have been good generally.

I had the same problem with I joined - the next morning - this was back on 12/24 - several sites were unavailable. I e-mailed their webmaster who got their tech dept on the problem and added 3 more days to my bonus memberships. It was cool to be able to check out DDF sites that I hadn't before. I thought Hot Legs & Feet especially had great material of the bonus sites.

A while ago at ALS Scan, they released a bonus where they remastered very old video and it looked like shit to me. I deleted them a few seconds after I downloaded them.

Someone had e-mailed Alex these commments - he responded to them in his Director's Blog today, so I thought I would post them where the comments originated:
"In response to the first comment: We are not going to change this. In a photoset of 200-400 pictures there may be 5-10 photos where we will step back and show the crew helping out. Whether it is Jimmy holding the video light or Jeremy videotaping the model, or maybe just an overview shot of the entire set, there are so few shots like this that I do not understand how it can be a problem. So my response to that comment is: get over it, man. If that bothers you, "wow!" Just delete those few shots from your set. The value in providing those behind the scenes shots is greater then the possibility of it upsetting a few uptight people. Especially when it is so easy to just delete the pictures that you do not like.
In response to the second comment: I see your point. Not everything we do will appeal to everybody. That is impossible. But we use baby oil in 1 or 2 (out of 7 or 8) sets that we shoot of a model because those are the sets that consistently get voted the highest. Not to mention I constantly receive emails from members saying how much they like that wet, baby oil look. Again, we try to please the masses but we cannot please everybody. As for the lollipops: yes, we have been using them for no more than one (1) set with each model lately. They offer the perfect prop that can give the model something to play with and it can be inserted nicely into the pussy and looks great going in and out. We are always open to new ideas on different things that we can have the models play with and insert, but the lollipops work so well and the models love them. Remember ALS Scan is about finding the hottest models in the world that are willing to insert the craziest things, presented in the highest photo and video quality on the internet, everything from glamour to hard shots. Anybody can find pretty girls and photograph them dancing around and posing, but get them to spread their pussies, or even better, stretch them to the max and insert wild and crazy objects, well THAT is what we do like nobody else can. Keep the ideas coming but they have to be reasonable and not hurt the model in anyway. Is everybody going to like everything we do? NO! But we do try our best and are open to new ideas such as finding something better to insert than lollipops.
My response to the third comment is simple. No worries, it is an extra feature and will never take away from any of our normal updates or offerings. It merely presents more material to our members at no cost that they may not have ever seen."

Well, having bit on this promotion, I feel like I've been bit myself.
I decided to go for it and joined 1 by day with all the banners about join one site, get 5 days access to 7 others. Once I'm a member, I get NO information on how to use this promoton - my confirmation of membership doesn't mention it.
So I figure I can just use my 1-by-day username/password to get access to Hot Legs & Feet - one of the sites listed in the promotion - nope, doesn't work. I submitted a ticket on the site, I'll be interested to see how this goes. I'll be delighted if I get a prompt response with a solution.
