Don't be concerned that your answer was long. I appreciated all the information since this is a niche i don't know much about. I like most porn, so I enjoy discussing it all too. Just one warning - as you can probably tell from my questions, I don't have a lot of knowledge of this particular niche so I might come across as a bit uninformed. If anyone here were looking to dip their toe in this niche, is there a site you'd recommend?

That certainly does answer my questions. Thanks for being so thorough. I'd like to think that I wasn't being willfully blind to the TS sub-culture in Thailand and Brazil, but I honestly wasn't aware that those cultures were so accepting of LGBT people. I guess it was just too easy to assume that all cultures are as homophobic as what I'm used to. I'm happy to learn how wrong I was.

That's an excellent point messmer. Having feminine stature obviously plays into the whole thing. I remember one of the first TS scenes I saw was with a Brazilian girl named Thays Schiavinato in a movie titled She's Got Balls." I can't claim that I was duped into seeing this because I downloaded it from Videobox and it was classified as a TS movie, and the title should have been a bit of a hint. But from the screencaps the model looked hot so I downloaded it. And damn is she hot! Sure, she's got a bit of a medically induced downstairs mix-up going on, but if I said 'nope... never in a million years' I'd be lying.
I can, however, claim to actually have been duped into renting a TS DVD once. I was (and still am) a fan of a lot of Joey Silvera's work. I saw a new DVD series titled "Joey Silvera's Rogue Adventures" and rented it on the strength that many titles from his "Fashion Sluts" line and "Buttrow" series are among my all-time favourites. I was a bit disappointed. And a bit frightened. None of these chicks looked like the lovely Thays.
So the physical size thing is probably the number one reason why things are as they are. Not many guys would be turned on by a TS who was 6'4", 240lbs with big hands.

Sorry to be a pest, but after checking out the site I see that they do have some models from around the globe, but it still seems that models from anywhere but South and Central America and Thailand are more rare. Is this really the case?

One question for you - not necessarily about this specific site but more about the niche itself. I'm not really into TS stuff so this might only be my perception rather than reality. Most of the TS stuff I've seen, and it isn't much I admit, has South / Central American models. I'm aware that this is also a big thing in Thailand and you note that there are a lot of Thai models on this site too. My question is this: are there North American and European TS models too? I don't think I've ever seen any. Do you think there is a reason that most of the models are South / Central American and Thai?
Just wondering... and this may be a question better posted on the forum but I thought if you have an interest in this niche you may have some thoughts on it.

I don't know all the details but he did a shoot with two models (Kimmie and Mackenzie) where one segment of it was shot in a shopping mall. The girls fool around quite a bit and there is some nudity in several stores and in the food court. Apparently someone complained and the police got involved and some of his recordings were seized as part of the investigation. That went on for the better part of a year.
Unfortunately the Kimmie and Mackenzie scene has since been removed from the site. But fortunately, some of us still have it!
I've taken some screencaps from the scene and put them on an image sharing site if you'd like to get an idea of what goes on on the scene.

Thanks. I figured that was what the answer would be. The site owner was in a lot of legal trouble so the last thing he'd want is to be caught doing that again. I think it was Sally Struthers who once said that if a movie has a man kissing a woman's breast it gets an R rating but if it has a man cutting a woman's breast off with a knife it gets a PG rating.

Do the newer scenes still have some public nudity in them? There was a scene (that I think has since been removed) with Kimmie and MacKenzie in a mall that caused the site owner some serious legal trouble and I think he had to scale back the public stuff. Is there still any of that in the newer scenes? That's my favourite part of the scenes.

I don't have an active membership at FTV now but this is one of the few sites where I do download photos and I find them to be excellent quality. I agree that file size is no indication of quality since they may be soft focus or intentionally 'artsy' to give a specific effect. But my experience with the photos is that they are clear, sharp and crisp.
The photos are available in at least two resolutions. (I can't confirm because I don't have a current membership.) The most recent photos I downloaded were from a couple of months ago and those are 3280x4928. Each photo is excellent quality and is somewhere around 10MB per photo.

You'd think that given the anticipation for FTVX that Rob would invest in some help to get it up and running sooner rather than later. This site has been creating buzz for over a year now and I'm sure once it goes live it'll get a huge number of memberships immediately. Rob is sitting on a gold mine and I'm sure he knows that.

I hadn't read that Rob is now talking September. That gives me some hope that this project isn't dead.
When the site launches I won't be surprised if the server crashes or the download speeds are terrible for the first while since there is so much anticipation about the site. The could also be a problem - so many people have such high expectations that some people may not be happy.

Like you. I'm a huge fan of the public nudity that they do. There aren't many US sites that push this limit any more. I join here pretty much just for the public nudity with some of the best looking models around.
Also like you, I'm wondering what happened to the promise of FTVX. I've been waiting for that like a six-year-old waits for Christmas but I'm beginning to wonder if this is a bit of a unicorn. I registered for updates when the option was available but I don't think I've ever actually had an update. Rob, the site owner, keeps saying that FTVX is real on another forum but I'm skeptical.

I'm with you - FTV Girls is one of my favourite sites. i especially like how they have public nudity in many of the scenes. If they add b/g hardcore to the mix that will only make it better.

I'm a fan of this site, and while I scored it much higher I do agree with a lot of what you wrote. It can get a bit repetitive, but that can occur in any niche, and usually does where there is one type of scene. I also agree that while some models thrive without direction, others could use more.
I'm a fan of exhibitionist stuff and FTV does that well. In most cases, I won't join a site that only offers the scenes as smaller clips, but here it works for them. I have no interest in the solo masturbation part of the scene so I don't need to download it. Likewise, if someone doesn't like the exhibitionist stuff they can avoid that.
Overall, what carries the site is the quality of the models they hire.

Thanks for the clarifications. I'm not a big fan of masturbation videos but I can understand that the ones here might get a bit boring.
And re the download manager issue, I'd normally only queue up 10 or 20 videos at the same time and I have a fast connection so I didn't experience any timeouts. They can be frustrating though. One group of sites I join a lot used to have a timeout of less than 5 minutes. Thankfully they did fix that.

I've been a member here several times and used both Free Download Manager and Internet Download Manager with no problems. I hope the site hasn't changed this. Have you tried contacting the site?
I'm the complete opposite of you in that I like the public stuff and avoid the masturbation parts. I normally don't like it when a site breaks a scene into parts but with this site it works because a member can download what they want and leave what they don't.
One thing I'm confused about with your comment is that there are only some masturbation videos. My recollection is that there was masturbation in every video. I was a member there are recently as five months ago and recall that every video started with some outdoor video (with varying amounts of public nudity) and then moved indoors for masturbation. Is it possible that you're only watching the first videos with the public stuff and not going to the following videos with the masturbation?
I hope you get the download manager thing sorted out.

Thanks for adding that clarification on the photos. I don't normally download photos so I checked a few to give the specs for the review and must have hit all ones that offered the higher resolution.
Like you, I think one of the draws of the site is that a lot of the models aren't found anywhere else. I also like, as I noted in my review, that some who get a start here go on to be big-name porn stars and we get to see them at the beginning of their careers when they're still innocent. I suspect that since the site is primarily a softcore site and seems to treat the models well is one of the main reasons that they're able to attract so many first-timers.

An excellent review. I'm not much into softcore but this is one softcore site that I like and go back to. I am, however, a big fan of public nudity and as you point out, this site does that well. I'm glad to hear that they're still doing some public stuff since so many other American producers are shying away from it due to the proliferation of security cameras and the rise of neo-puritanism.

Great review, exotics, as usual.
I joined this site in 2009 and was amazed at how great it was then. One of the things I really enjoyed about the site then was that they did so much public nudity. I know the site doesn't market itself as a public nudity site but they could have given the volume of it that they had. Apart from the public stuff I didn't download all the segments for each model as I'm just not that into solo stuff. I don't think I've rejoined since 2009 but maybe I'll head back and have a look.
Quick question: does the stuff posted after in 2010 and newer have much public nudity in it? Back in 2009 the webmaster wrote that the number of security cameras being used now was making public stuff a dying breed.
