I think the thing about Water Power is that it didn't seem to be a film that was made to shock people, like Lizzie Borden and those types made - it was just a really really dark nasty story being told in porn form. 08-29-20  09:15pm Reply 827 Evil Angel (0) Reply of pat362's Reply That's exactly the movie I saw. Definitely one of the harshest porn films I ever saw in a Pussycats theater, though there was usually 1 non-consensual scene in every movie of that era, sometimes a Lolita-ish scene as well. Porn movies got a bit more tame shortly after that. 08-23-20  04:17pm Comment 828 Evil Angel (0) In praise of crazy-ass porn There was weird crazy porn in the 70's, but it was mainly unpleasant - I remember one film I saw at a Pussycat Cinema where Jamie Gillis played a guy who would break into women's houses & perform enemas on them. Then in the mid-1980's there was the absolutely amazing Babyface 2 with the long scene of Jamie Gillis - again - there really were only a very few porn actors - as a demon male stripper unleashing a deranged nymphomania on the women that paid him to perform at a batchelorette party. And there was the wonderful surrealism of Rinse Dreams. But it was Bruce Sevens who really showed me how wonderfully weird porn could be with crazy intense hardcore porn that took things far beyond what anybody else was doing at the time - it was sexy, it was hot, it was sometimes hilariously funny and demanded a physicality from the performers that no other porn of the day did. John Stagliano was a huge friend & fan of Bruce Seven and Evil Angel has kept up that tradition - not everything they do is brilliant, but I always love when I see them pushing the envelope. Watching the scenes being released from the "I am Riley" DVD, it strikes me that these scenes could have been released by another studio. There's no concentration on extreme anal stuff or gaping or anything particularly outre. And the same could be said of the Cam Girls stuff that Evil Angel did earlier this year. Is it a sign of Evil Angel maturing? Or relaxing? Or not worrying about whether they are doing everything in a way that fits a certain mold? I dunno. Some people might not like it at all. Me, I'm happy about it. Evil Angel is doing something I've never seen done before with their new "Cam Girls: The Movie," a "docu-porn" hybrid of backstage reality segments, candid interviews and four new, hardcore scenes. They start out with candid/reality tv type stuff introducing the 2 experienced cam girls, who are coming to LA to do their first professional shoots, then they have 4 different pro scenes directed by various Evil Angel directors. I love the whole concept and, being a huge fan of John Stagliano's work, the first scene is awesome. 07-19-18  06:18pm Replies (0) Comment 833 Evil Angel (0) Added Obstacle To Seeing Trans Content If I remember correctly, there was a time when Evil Angel displayed all of their content - if you didn't like certain content, you ignored it. Then they put the check box there to see Trans/Shemale content - you clicked the box, you saw all of their content. They have now added another obstacle to seeing Trans content. To start off, they don't display it. If you want to see Trans or bi content, you have to click those boxes. You click the boxes, nothing changes. Now you have to click the box or boxes that you want them to display the content of, reload the page and only then will it show you the content that had been left out originally. If you look at releases from a couple of weeks ago, they are pretty much all down-loadable. As to the number of photos per scene, that seems to be entirely up to the director. The Teen-a-holics DVD that they posted a few days ago is excellent, but what I really like about Evil Angel is their ability to highlight stuff that didn't sound like it would be appealing to me much at all and then to blow me away with how good it is - the latest example is the scene between Alina Li and Marica Haze engaging in plastic wrap and breath play in a scene from Fetish Fanatic 14. And they don't forget the greatness of great tease and eye contact with the camera. This is where I feel that Evil Angel's stuff has it all over Kink's stuff, which I find overly clinical and about the acts themselves without the importance stuff, which is how hot the acts get the performers and should get the audience. One correction of facts, though. Not all content is downloadable. There are frequently new DVD's that EA considers premium in one way or another that are only stream-able for the first month or so that they are on the site. Their new updates are incredible. I love Jay Sin's new stuff and Joey Silvera's new stuff with Nacho Vidal is incredible. The scene with Nacho and Sandy (of Club Sandy) taking turns training Skin Diamond is one of the best porn scenes I have ever seen in my life - and presented in full HD (1920 X 1080 are the stats) that look beautiful. One caveat - they are putting up a lot of premieres and exclusives and those premieres and exclusives are stream-only for 2-3 weeks (their protection against pirating one can assume).
