Yes - as a member of her previous site, I received an e-mail when she started this site. A lot of the material being presented in the new site is licensed material that she did for other sites, such as Ron Harris' sites and Suze.net and FTV Girls. The only site that does really unique material that I have not seen re-presented on this site is her ALS Angels material - ALS are pretty into having their material on their sites being 100% exclusive.
She is also doing some unique material for this site, but not a large amount. The material she is doing more is more hard-core than what she used to do, but also frequently not that interesting.
If you like Sandy, I would say that it's worth a short-term join to see what all is here. I'm not going to claim that you're going to want to stay for many months, though.

As you say, a lot of factors affect download speed. I've had conversations about this with Alex of ALS Scan, because they are very proud of their work to have the fastest download speeds available, while I, with a cable connection that tests very fast, often experience download speeds of 200 kbs/sec with ALS Scan, not impressive at all.
My ISP is Comcast, and I understand that Comcast itself sometimes slows down downloads.

Jelena is another of the models doing cam shows at Misha's 1ModelCam Network - pretty regularly doing a show at some point during the week. Her next scheduled cam show is this Thursday at 7 PM Pacific Time. I don't know if her site links to this network - it would be odd if it did not.

I'm not sure if her site links to this cam network (it would be odd if it didn't), but she does web cam shows at Misha's 1ModelCam Network about once a week - at odd times, sometimes on Sunday mornings Pacific Time, other times in the early evening during the week. She's doing one in about 2 hours, as a matter of fact - 11:30 am Pacific Time

There are adult models and porn performers, such as Katie Fey, Jenna Haze & Nautica Thorn, that are brilliant in terms of the use of eye contact, many others less so. If a woman has a fabulous body and uses it expressively, I can enjoy photos even if she doesn't use eye contact well. But when a model has an expression like she wants to be else-where, the photographer is a moron to just keep on shooting and think they are going to come out with something erotic. That was my complaint about Nubiles for a while, though they got lots better about that.
I know that Alex of ALS Scan has talked about the sunglasses issue and the quandary about shooting outdoors - some women are very sensitive to the sun and the choice is between getting an engaged set with them wearing sunglasses and a set where most of the material is worthless because the model is pre-occupied with her discomfort from the sun in her eyes, squinting, looking pained, etc. I've seen some pretty hot photosets of women in sunglasses, so it's not something that bothers me if it's a happy gorgeous woman in the sun wearing sunglasses.

Yeah, Nikki's doing the same kind of tease as ever. It's an interesting marketing concept for a non-nude girl to do a site with nude girls to satisfy the nude-seeking types. It will be interesting to see how that works for her. The success or failure of the site probably depends on how hot Nikki herself keeps herself and how much interaction she herself has with her members.

Good point. Fantasies are fine. Reality's much tougher and the two don't combine all that well a lot of times. I had a girlfriend and we used to talk about what female friends we wanted to have sex with together. We decided that we were mutually hot for one girl in particular and so we got her over and got her clothes off and I was going to fuck her, but that felt weird, so I fucked my girlfriend instead. I'm guessing that 50% or more of the sites out there are BS sites in one way or another
Dead sites that don't update or recycle content to make it appear that they update
Sites that update every once in a while but promise things that never actually happen on the site
Mirror other sites with updates that are the most common and most mediocre quality around - just easily licensed or stolen crap
Sites that you join and can't acccess and have no Customer Service to assist you
Sites that automatically charge your credit card for other sites that you did not request and have no Customer Service to assist you
Sites that offer "limited" trial memberships with less available content than you could get in their free promos
Sites that offer trial memberships that you cannot cancel - so you automatically get charged for the full membership
Given that there is a whole world of porn that is based on dishonest business practices, I give great respect to the honest pornsters out there - the people that run sites such as ALS Scan, Met Art, Brazzers Network, Twisty's, One-By-Day, ATK, Hegre, Karups, Danni.com, InFocusGirls, Karen Dreams, Suze.net and many others. With all the BS out there, you gotta respect the people that are really trying to do good work, whether you're thrilled with their content every day or not.
And you gotta appreciate sites such as this one that assist porn fans, crazy as we are, in differentiating the great from the not-so-great and the sheer crapola rip-offs.

The 70's porn stuff was hot for its time. I think that in the early 80's, things heated up. That's when you had adventurous directors like Cecil Howard and Alex DeRenzy start to really spread their wings. Then you had incredibly hotties like Ginger Lynn step into the fray. The quality got attrocious for a while when the shift from film to video happened - that early stuff looks absolutely like crap. In the late 80's, though, you had people like Bruce Seven start to do amazing stuff that paved the way for the best of gonzo.
I still say that if the great stuff being created today blows previous periods away. If I were in a porn theater, and a preview came on for a 70's porn flick and then some great Zero Tolerance vid with Amy Reid posing away, then sucking and fucking for all she's worth, I can guaran-damn-tee that I would be 200% more turned on by the Amy Reid vid.
I think there's a lot of nostalgia impacting the posts in this thread while the voting is a more accurate assessment of reality.

Actually, this is Stephanie Swift's site - run by Stephanie herself - she posted that info when she had her forum and I've met her and heard it from her own mouth. As I said in my other comment, other fans and I have given her info directly on how she could work with dependable, professional people in her area to make this a good site. The fact that hasn't happened is entirely on Stephanie herself at this point.

I remember when Jesse Capelli used to do weekly cam shows at Misha's cam network when her site was new and active. I could tell it was going way downhill in the last days of her public forum, which I checked now and then. The poor members were complaining about the lack of updates, Jesse's posts in response were bitchy as hell - all "What do you expect? I'm busy!"

Given 21st Sextury's comments about their DOS attacks coming from their main competitor, I wonder if there is a little porn war going on between 21st Sextury and DDF. What was the reason for this site except for DDF to prove that a bunch of the 21st Sextury material was produced by DDF?
That's OK if DDF was going to keep this site as a real updated site. Now - not having updated the site for almost 7 months, it just makes DDF look lame. They ought to shut it down or give it as a bonus to people that join the premium DDF sites.

This is the link to her site. I tried it a few years ago when it first opened. Your first comment is quite accurate - it was a horrible experience. She wasn't using CCBill at the time and she had some weird "key" system to get access. I wound up having to look all through the site for contacts and eventually found a contact with the web design guy, whose only connection was having done design of the site, but he was cool enough to get me into the site. Stephanie's excuse to all the people that were furious in her then-public forum was that she was running the site all by herself and was getting ripped off right and left and was doing the best she could.
Most of that is probably true, but my answer is "If you can't do it, don't try to do it and rip your fans off." I also got her a contact with Adriana Sage, a fellow San Diego-based porn babe that runs her own site and, at the time at least, Jana Cova's site, in a very professional manner and could have done the same for Stephanie. I don't believe that has ever happened, so if Stephanie's site is being run in an unprofessional way after numerous fans have tried to give her ways that she could solve the problems, well then there are no more excuses.
I was a big fan of Stephanie. Now, not so much. Besides her site being handled in an unprofessional manner, so are her live performances recently. I went to see her twice when she was either incredibly late on stage (keeping the DJ playing the introductory music for 20 minutes) or didn't show for that performance at all.
I wouldn't bother going to see her or joining her site at all these days.

Pricing for this site is all over the map. Joining directly is $29.95/month and you get a few crappy sites - then some good ones if you stay longer. Joining through that Porn For All network - whatever it was called is almost $40 a month for some group of sites - then you get more later. Joining Mandy Is Kinky, gives you this site and a huge number of other 21st Sextury archive sites at a price of $29.95/month - then you get still more each more that you remain a member.

It does point out the quality of the site's navigation, doesn't it? I remember at one point looking for some photo sets that I KNEW were on the site featuring Stephanie Swift. I looked in one way that made complete sense, found nothing. I thought of a few ways that their wacky navigation might hook me up with what I was looking for, found the stuff in a very few minutes, but you do have think like a person that is only somewhat organized in order to find what you want, frequently.

I have tried this site repeatedly because of the TBP discount. I like it more than Twisty's for a few reasons
While they have their own photoshop addiction, they don't mangle the models as Twisty's has at times, such as with their Andi Valentino photo sets
I like the fun campiness of their satirical vids
I like the low-key personality-filled event vids.
The downside - for a site that has so much video, they don't have a lot of vids that are high on sexual heat.
Twisty's vids are better strip vids, in my opinion
Brazzers does much hotter campy vids, in my opinion
