For me, this is a dividing line - I want to see pics of hot babes that look like living women. Too many sites paint their pics to a point where, to me, they lose all eroticism. Find hot models, light them well, take the pics and I have no problem with doing some reasonable touch-up to make the pics look as good as they can, but I'm turned off by the lacquered or painted look that some sites go to.
Sites that put themselves on my Love List for avoiding unneccessary photo-painting:
ALS Scan
Met Art
DDGirls
and others with a similar style
Sites that keep me away with their insistence on painting pics to a degree that does away with the eroticism:
Pier 999
Ron Howard (though I like his close-up vids, despite his annoying talk)
A site that I wish got away from photo-shopping as much as they do: Twisty's - it's a great site and they have great models, but they're photo-sets would be hotter, from my perspective, if they messed with the pics less than they do, for the most part - I've got to say, though, that their stuff has been going in the right direction over time.

This is another one of those sites, like Pier999, where the painting in the pics is so extreme as to completely do away with the eroticism for me. I found the vids to be the aspect of the site that I liked the most because vids don't offer the same opportunity for messing with a woman's appearance and cause he gets in nice and close. But Ron H doesn't have nearly the skill that Alex of ALS Scan/ALS Angels does at bringing out a models' personality - watch vids of the same girls shot by both guys and 9 out of 10 times, the model is much more vibrant and sexy and FUN when she is being shot for the ALS sites.
I'm tempted to re-subsribe to this site for just a month for the vids, but then I think "Naaaaaaaa" and don't regret it.

My mistake - I said 12/06 when I meant 12/05. According to TBP, the site opened in 9/05 and up until very recently they had all of the material available from their opening. It's definitely a negative development that they have now cut off the availability of that opening material and are recycling at least some of it as being new material. That could mean that they only plan on ever having 15 months of material and recycle from there - At least 3 recently posted sets - Red Magic, Pearls and Freeones - are recycled from the early days of the site - recognized by me or other members posting at the site's forum.
There could well be more. This definitely lowers this site in my estimation.

Here's my question, Drooler. I've seen awesome photos of Jesse Jane by Earl Miller and had considered joining the site. However all of the pics presented in the sample area have this weird blurriness in the face - like the photo shopping went bad for some reason.
Is that just an issue with the samples or are a lot of the pics on the site that way?

Hey, Exotics, have you noticed Mya's site recycling photo sets? I was really drawn to the Red Magic site posted on 6/10/07 - I hadn't been to the site for over a week - and when I went to download it, I found that I had the exact same set downloaded from Mya's site back at the end of July 2006.
This seems like a serious "con" to this site - calls into question how much new material they are creating. I understand the challenges of creating material for a new photo-set or video every day for the low price (with discount) of this site - but still.
I also noticed that the archive has been curtailed more than it has in the past - I'm sure that it went back past 12/01/06 previously - no?

I joined recently when they posted the first photo-set of Sandy W, who I love from her site Naughty Girl Sandy. I found that I wasn't spending that much time looking at Sandy because of all the other great stuff they have here. I don't know how long I'll keep my membership to this site, but it's a pretty nice site if you like your babes shaved with juicy natural sizeable boobs

I'm a fan of a lot of the models on this site, but what keeps me from joining is the amount of painting that they do to their photos. I've looked at their site samples and seen their stuff posted online at various forums and for my tastes, they layer it on to the point that, even if the model is on her back, with a sexy expression, in a great pose and her legs spread and panties pulled aside, I feel like I'm looking at one of those 3D Art pics rather than feeling like I'm looking at a hot photo of a gorgeous woman.
I have the same problem with Earl Miller's stuff.
When it comes to photo-shopping/painting, for my tastes less is more and, unfortunately, Pier 999 goes for the "more"

One other note - I e-mailed Alex and let him know the feedback here about how much higher value people think his sites would have if the entire library of vids were available.
He said that they were thinking about doing that - no promises about time frame - but that the vids that they currently offer as bonuses, such as the special collection of Caribbean trip vids or DVD's, would continue to be available for a limited period of time.
The great thing about ALS Scan, in addition to the high quality, is that for the past year especially, they have gone into a mode of continuous improvement.

For people like me that look at membership status when reading reviews, it would definitely be helpful if you noted - returning member here - or something that let people know that your entire experience was not less than 1 month. I have seen notes like that in reviews, possibly in yours, and it was note-worthy to me.
In any forum that has a good amount of people posting, we're going to have people capable of, or interested in, writing solid in-depth reviews, and others who write reviews that are more "thumbs-up" or "thumbs-down". The good thing about the comments is that we can always try to draw people out some more if we care to.

ALS Scan currently has a full 2 1/2 months of vids available - this is at the upper end of the scale for them leaving vids out there, so this may change any day. While it is unpredictable how long vids will be available beyond the 4 weeks guaranteed, they do seem to be trying to increase the time of availability in practice.
I agree that the site would tremendously increase the value to their members if they had their full library of vids available.
I'll suggest it to Alex - he's always available for suggestions - and will be pretty direct in saying so if it ain't ever gonna happen.

Both ALS Angels and ALS Scan post DVD material - ALS Angels typically has material available from 2 or 3 of their DVD's as part of the current vids
Right now, for instance, included in the current vids on the ALS Angels site are DVD #87 with Sandra Shine, DVD #90 with Eve Angel and DVD #92 with Breanne.
On the ALS Scan site, you can get the complete DVD #91, ALS in St John, with Nella, Brea, Amy Lee, Sandy, Paris & Adele (this is a temporary bonus that may be pulled any day) plus individual scenes from about 7 other DVD's as part of the current vids available.
I've got to say that the vids of their most recent Caribbean trip with Jana Foxy/Jana Jordan are truly wonderful - some of the best stuff that I've ever seen them post.

The more important factor to me is info on whether the reviewer is a current member and how long a reviewer has been a member.
People who are reviewing sites where they haven't been a member for months aren't helping much, since good sites make significant changes - I remember one reviewer complaining about the DRM's at Danni.com weeks after that site had done away with DRM's.
Similarly, I personally don't find reviews all that helpful if the reviewer has been a member less than a month - they can give feedback on how much stuff a site has and the quality, but you don't really have the basis to comment on the consistency of updates or possibilities of technical problems if the reviewer just joined yesterday. To me that's the difference between this forum and the reviews by TBP's reviewers - I know that they're just dipping their toes in and giving their reviews from there.
Where this site can be more helpful is by having the feedback of people who have spent a good deal more time with a site.

If you want to get more into the personalities of the girls - and the tease - the Met Art cam shows are a great way to go. Each cam show is 2 hours long, if I remember correctly, so the girls take their time getting naked, spend a lot of time teasing and chatting and playing with the guys in the chat.
The turn-off to me about the chat is it's definitely like little club-house where the guys that are there all know each other and know all of the 'rules' etc. I found it rather off-putting. Others might not.

You don't get Nikki's site, which is the most expensive of all of Phil's sites, I believe, but you do get access to cam shows of all Phil-Flash models, including Nikki.
It should be noted that Nikki is now pregnant and is doing chats but no stripping on her cam shows until she has her baby and gets back into shape.

I totally agree - and at the time I was a member - a year or more ago - you weren't even able to save pics. That's a complete deal-killer to me - and the pics available through Freeones are better quality than the pics on Vivid's site. I don't get it! I truly don't get it!

I've seen it fake and that's just kind of pathetic - what's the point?
But when it's real, it can be rather awesome. ALS Scan's first true HD video was a long masturbation scene with Amber Rayne - that woman is crazed - like Debi Diamond crazed - and when she squirted all over the camera man and the lens and he's yelling "Jesus Christ!" in disbelief, - that was some great shit!

The problem with this company's sites is that the models have all moved on so they have no more updates. I was a member of Little Summer's site during the brief time that she and Kimmie were doing web cam shows - those were freaking hot - especially one where Summer left and the gorgeous Kimmie had to entertain all us horny dogs by her lonesome - did a great job too!
Anyway, sites where the model has moved on in her life and existing material is being slowly removed are not much of a value - and those kind of sites seem to be what this company specializes in.
