I'm not sure how this is uncharted waters for ALS Scan - they had that BTS scene with Tanner doing her boy/girl shoot for Club Sandy that included all manner of penetration.

While they are now posting photosets with 3 sizes - with the largest 4000 X 2567 - it's really un-distinctive material photoshopped by somebody that was wearing a blindfold, apparently. The newest Anita Pearl vid posted the other day looks like it was licensed from InFocusGirls - looks like the location they use to me.
So they have one site to focus on now, and I wish them well and hope they have some exciting exclusive material - shit, they were able to do very cool material with Babes.tv not that long ago, so here's hoping!
Sites seem to vary about the labeling of re-mastered material. ALS Scan has heavily promoted some re-mastered releases - put them out as bonuses. I thought they looked like crap, personally. Perhaps enough people did that they decided to just remaster some stuff that wouldn't look like crap - the stuff I mentioned above looks good - and don't make a big deal about it.
FTV Girls has promoted some re-releases, I've noticed.

No - you can download zip files of the photo-sets, but I haven't seen anything mentioned on the site about these CD's. I would bet that they still have all of the photo-sets up at the site if they did previously. So you can get them again in zips.

On 2/26/10, they released a Shelby & Amy Lee vid - again either a re-remaster or not, it's not newly shot
On 2/24/10, they released a vid from their St Johns trip - probably a remaster
On 2/16/10, they released an Angie vid that was probably a remaster
2/12/10, the St Martin vid is probably a remaster
2/08/10 - the Kylie vid is probably a re-master
2/02/10 - the Tori vid is probably a remaster
So that's an idea of the frequency
So from 2/02 to 3/02 there were 8 posts that were re-releases/re-masters or otherwise not newly shot and 28 posts that were newly shot/released material - one of which was a bonus with almost 2 hours of vid.
With ALS Scan, they release material based on popularity as well as the owner's tastes - so they do have some material that I would classify in the new category, such as the 2007 Caribbean trip HD vid because it was a new release - but that's 1 out of 28

There have been porn performers that started out with an "I'll do anything" attitude and didn't enjoy where that got them, so they dialed it back to what they were comfortable with. Cluttered and confusing it is - but photosets are easy:
When you first log onto the site, you'll see the "Set of the Day" in the upper left hand of the home page and "previous sets of the day" just to the right of that. Then if you click up at the top of the home page on "Pics", you'll see 221 pages of "Sets Of The Day" and you can click on other tabs - "Member Review", "Staff Picks", "Remixes", "Misc"
There are a lot of photosets, many of them are very cool.
Now vids - that I can't help you with. I've never found any sexy vids on this site.
I wouldn't be surprised if some day they do a re-design of the whole site behind the scenes and spring it on us - I could imagine fantasy navigation where you put your cursor over a pic of a model and get a few second of vid of one of her hottest scenes.
Maybe if they feel that they've done all the upgrading needed for a while in their content and equipment, they'll turn their eyes to the design.
Re-designs, though, can be one of those "be careful what you wish for" propositions - Babes.tv, for instance had an older-looking site, did a re-design and had a less distinctive looking site at the same time that their content fell off a cliff - so it wasn't exactly a cause for joy.
In the main, my view towards the overall design of a site is "if it ain't broke, don't worry about it." The key thing that ALS Scan needed to do was to get their navigation in hand - and they've done that in the main, since you can now see all of the solo content of a model by clicking on her pic - and get pointed to the group and bonus shoots that she was involved in.
I wish they would lay off the freaking photoshopping, which you correctly list as a major con - I keep being drawn back to this site - but the photoshopping makes their posted sets boring - so my former excitement about this site is no more. Nice vids, but without photosets that are also enjoyable it's a site that's killed 50% of its updates, far as I'm concerned.
If you like Lexi, I would recommend Naughty America - she does frequent live shows there, many of which are archived to be watched anytime, and she's a whole lotta fun. They have 9 scenes with her too.
There was a lot of potential with this network and for a while there was a lot of good stuff being posted, but not lately and I can't recommend it, since I didn't find it worth extending my own membership.
Actually, since my membership to PremiumPass expired recently, I'm in a position to know that you could download the contents of this site in a day or two - there's not a lot there.
PremiumPass has added the number of sites in the network, but the update schedule on each site is not impressive, web-cam shows are every 2 weeks or less by individual performers, and the CamZ network has gotten more glitchy as time has gone on - so some cam shows never happen or are full of freezes and crashes.
Overall, this network became more frustrating than it was enjoyable.
