It's far easier to make excellent photos than to make an excellent video. There are fewer factors to control in a photo than in a video. That's the main reason, I believe, why wonderful or good photos far outnumber the number of excellent videos.
There are other reasons, as well. Photos cost less, in terms of time and money to produce.
And as a viewer/consumer, it's simpler and easier and less time-consuming to view photos than to view videos.
Photos and videos each have their own appeal.

I almost always unzip photosets. How else are you going to look at the photos? I don't have a special program to examine unzipped zip files.
On the other hand, there are lots of videos that I download, that I have never looked at.

I sincerely doubt that PU/TBP knew this offer was so limited.
If you can't get a refund on your own, I believe Khan (or someone else at PU) will work with you to settle this matter: either a refund, or full access to Twistys for one month.
PU/TBP is not part of Twistys. But PU/TBP has stepped in to help their members in the past. And PU/TBP carries a lot more weight than an individual.

You're right. On the second page of the signup pages, it says:
"Membership renews automatically at $27.95 every 30 days until canceled."
But on the first page of the signup page, it says:
"Monthly for $ 9.95"
Kind of misleading.
Glad you pointed that out.
And like TheSquirrel wrote, you need to uncheck the pre-checked offer, or you will be charged for a trial subscription.

It's been a long time since I was a Twistys member.
The main focus, as I remember, are the photos.
They do have videos. But mainly softcore or midcore, from what I recall.
One positive for you might be that your skinny white girls are in the minority. The girls have medium or large (but not massive) breasts.
They do have a large selection of models, most of the better-known porn names. Almost all white. But not just teens. Many are in their twenties.
For $9.95, it's probably worth the fee.
Unless they charge you the higher fee in euros or pounds.

Like messmer says, it's great to see a new review from you. Your reviews give a personal flavor in addition to nice details.
The two main points for me that you make:
1. Mostly low quality bargain basement porn.
2. Hard sorting the good quality from the bad because there is so much bad quality.
I'm getting lazy in my old age. In spite of a low price and massive content, I no longer have the patience to search through the garbage to find the gems. And like messmer says, I've been spoiled by high quality videos to bother watching most low-quality DVDs.

What I'm try to say is that with a short pictorial, 10 to 20 photos or less, but with accompanying personal story, the photos, and the model herself, gained meaning.
Today's photoshoots have far more photos per set, but the story is lacking, and the photos have less impact.
Other factors enter in as well. With 10 to 20 photos in a pictorial, the editing/choosing of the actual photos was more important. And I remember savoring each fine photograph like a fine dish.
Today, I go through a single photoshoot like I'm slurping down garbage, hoping that a few photos will stand out and give me pleasure.
The models today are just as physically lovely, if not more so, than the models of 50 years ago. And there are certainly more of them.
But I'm glad that some sites, like X-art and Diesel, are trying to put an erotic or sensual or quality element back into porn.

I started looking at nude magazines in the 1960s and 1970s, first with Playboy, then with Penthouse. Obviously the pictures were paramount. But the accompanying personal stories made the models more real and meaningful, even if the "facts" were sometimes doctored.

Sasha is a very cute girl. But her vids, and photosets, at this site are not very erotic. Sometimes you don't realize how much the photographer contributes when you look at a photo of a pretty girl, and think, "I could have shot that myself."

Arty style is sometimes more a matter of production value instead of actual content.
I've seen videos and photosets posted on the Teen Mega World network that were later posted on the Diesel network. The same videos and photosets. But at the Diesel network, the videos and photosets were much more appealing because of better lighting, more vivid colors, and maybe other factors.

I mentioned in my site review that the videos would be better without the music.
I believe a few porn models are able to transition to fashion modelling, but it's pretty rare.
The Teen Mega World network has a boy-girl-girl site, firstbgg. It only has 25 videos, and is no longer updating. And the videos are presented at a slightly lower quality than at Diesel or X-art.
But if you belong to the Teen Mega World network, which has a ton of hardcore teen videos, their boy-girl-girl site is worth checking out.
