How about a frozen meat locker and a lifetime supply of twinkies? Then I can think about my porn stash and some real live playmates from the 1970s (when the girls were still real) or their equivalents today.
God bless, I've never seen the quick responses from any Webmaster to a PU member like this. This Webmaster seems really on the ball. I just wish the rest of the Webmasters were 1/4 as responsive as this one.
The problem is not with the billing company, but with the webmaster or the site itself. The billing company is just following the instructions of the webmaster in how to bill. That's my understanding, anyway.
And I agree that it seems unfair to charge different prices, based on where you live.
I can't tell you how often the site is currently updating.
My membership ended last week. I had problems trying to enter the site. I kept getting the error message that I was not authorized, even though my membership was still current.
I sent emails, asking for help.
No replies.
I also sent emails asking for my membership to be extended, because the site advertised, for a while, that 1-year memberships (and I paid for a 1-year membership) would be extended due to the site not updating in 2008 and most of 2009.
No replies to my emails.
So I just gave up in frustration.
The site has a number of very attractive models.
But the photosets are very small: about 15-20 photos per set. So even though the model might be attractive, the small number of photos per set is just enough to make you hungry for more. Or frustrated. I want a larger number of photos in a set, where I can look at the photos, and focus on the ones I like best. I can get large photosets at most mega-sites, where you get 50-100+ pictures in a set.
The site says they are emphasizing quality over quantity, but the quality is not any better than at the mega-sites like met-art (where Richard Murrian, the site photographer for m-u-s-e.org, has some photosets), or mplstudios, or a bunch of other mega-sites. Actually, the quality at the other sites is better, in my opinion, because the photographer tends to put a lot of shadows and "artsy" focus in his small photosets, making the number of photos that I really like even smaller.
You are not substituting quantity for quality if you join one of the quality mega-sites. You get both quality and quantity.
This site has a much smaller content. The archives go back several years, but I just don't like the idea and practice of a small number of photos in a photoset.
I believe you will be better satisfied, spending your money on a softcore mega-site, than at this site.
But if you are a Richard Murrian connoisseur, then the site might be worthwhile. I thought one Murrian photoset at met-art was really striking. But when I looked at the same set at m-u-s-e, I found a small set, with a smaller number of photos. Grrrr.
None of the choices are favorites of mine, except for the none option, which seems kind of negative. Isn't there a better way to approach sex than a hand job? I've seen a few videos where a gorgeous girl masturbates, and that can be interesting. But most masturbation videos are crap. Excuse the french, but that's the truth.
Was a member approx. 1 month prior to this review.
Pros:
-High quality softcore photosets.
-Glamor style photography.
-This is a Richard Murrian site (some contributions by other photographers).
-There are some yummy-looking models here.
-Most models are teens, some in early 20s.
-Photo series come in 3 resolutions: 2500 px, 1500 px, 1000 px.
-Zip file for download of the photo series.
-Low annual fee ($59 per year).
-Exclusive content.
-No DRM.
-Billing by CCBILL.
Cons:
_The photosets are small with only a few photos per set.
-Because of the small number of photos per set, it's not a satisfying experience looking at a photoset. I want more photos in a set, which I can get at met-art, metmodels, mpl studios, femjoy, justteensite, or any of the softcore megasites.
-There are some videos, but the main focus is on photos.
-Updates are very irregular.
-No response to emails from customer service.
Bottom Line:
Problems at muse:
I joined muse with a 12-month membership in March, 2009. Because the site had no updates for most of 2009, the site advertised that members who had a 12-month membership in the un-updated part of 2009, would get a free 6-month extension of their membership.
I emailed the site requesting the membership extension, but received no reply. My membership was not extended.
Also, it was difficult trying to log into the site while my membership was still active. I often got the error message: "Sorry, the
page you requested could not be found or you do not have the necessary authorization."
My experience at the site was unfavorable. I wasted my membership money, and was left with a bitter aftertaste.
Break the law and your new 'friend' may be the FBI
By RICHARD LARDNER

WASHINGTON – The Feds are on Facebook. And MySpace, LinkedIn and Twitter, too.
U.S. law enforcement agents are following the rest of the Internet world into popular social-networking services, going undercover with false online profiles to communicate with suspects and gather private information, according to an internal Justice Department document that offers a tantalizing glimpse of issues related to privacy and crime-fighting.
Think you know who's behind that "friend" request? Think again. Your new "friend" just might be the FBI.
The document, obtained in a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit, makes clear that U.S. agents are already logging on surreptitiously to exchange messages with suspects, identify a target's friends or relatives and browse private information such as postings, personal photographs and video clips.
The Electronic Frontier Foundation, a San Francisco-based civil liberties group, obtained the Justice Department document when it sued the agency and five others in federal court. The 33-page document underscores the importance of social networking sites to U.S. authorities. The foundation said it would publish the document on its Web site on Tuesday.
Are the pics even worth downloading? This seems to be a site that emphasizes vids. The pics would be an afterthought, extremely doubtful the pics would be high quality. So what use would the pics be? As a fast reminder of what the vid was about?
I think the least objectionable choice is in a studio, where you have the most control over lighting, noise, etc. I don't understand the appeal of an old warehouse. Many years ago it might have been a new place to shoot porn and therefore possibly interesting, but porn shoots in warehouses have been done to death.
My main interest is softcore pix. And they are exclusive at sites such as Met-art, MPL Studios, Femjoy, JustTeenSite, etc., where you get high-quality softcore pix. I don't really care if the the pix are exclusive, that's just the way they are marketed, which means if you like a certain model a lot, you have to join different sites to try to get more of her photosets.
I posted a comment at PU (this site) on Aug 11, 2009 about how photoflashes by photographers ruin some of the videos. I also said that the artsy style of the photography is an acquired taste. The site has both good and bad points. So it's up to the viewer whether he wants to pay for a site membership.
Regarding lack of response to emails requesting help, that's a problem at other sites as well. And I have posted at PU when I did not get a response to emails requesting help at different sites.
So your experience is not unique. And it's helpful when you state your opinions clearly, so other PU members can decide whether a site is worth joining.
I did not disagree with your review. I was merely pointing out that some PU members enjoyed the site and gave it good scores (in spite of any minor problems they may have had).
But your experience at the site was poor, and that results in a lower score.
Probably not. Unless there were some very strong reasons to overcome his prejudice against porn. But porn does seem to be a great flag-waving issue, where everyone should unite against the dangers of porn and pot and whatever other evils communism has sent to weaken our moral fiber.
I've only had my new laptop for about 2 weeks now, but I still prefer to use a desktop if at all possible. A desktop is easier to use and more comfortable to use in many different ways. Maybe in a few years the ease of use of desktops and laptops might be more comparable, but for today's times, the desktop is much easier to use than a laptop.
Any PU members that have been recent members of this site care to comment on site value/score? It seems that a few of the updates are older material (shot a while ago) that is just now being posted.
Welcome to PU. Interesting review. Sorry you had such a poor experience with this site. Porn is very much a matter of personal taste. The previous PU reviews all gave this site pretty high scores, but you are certainly entitled to your opinion.
As far as I can tell, most of the female orgasms shown in porno are fake.
As far as the male orgasms, it doesn't really appear the guys are enjoying it all that much. Yes, the guys are cumming, or ejaculating, but it's more of a job than a joyful or exhilarating experience.
I believe most porn directors should be shot, not heard. That would improve the quality of your average porn film by a factor of 2000X.
Bringing in new directors, who had seen what happened to the talky directors of old, would give the viewers a chance to watch new porno without the talky-talk directors getting in the way with their talk.
Gradually, or not at all. I'm much more into softcore than hardcore. And I would prefer that my favorite softcore models stay softcore rather than get into hardcore. That's just me.
I bought a new laptop a few days ago, my first laptop. Still trying to get used to it, because a desktop is easier to use (keyboard, mousepad, monitor, etc. are all easier to use on a desktop compared to a laptop).
A little over a month ago I bought a 1 Terabye external hard drive from Iomega. The price on computers and peripherals keeps dropping every year. It's amazing what you can buy today compared to a few years ago, for the same number of dollars.
But the computers still have the same old bugs, or maybe they are new ones. The switch from Windows XP to Windows 7 is sending me back to the books, trying to make the windows look more like WinXP which is familiar and easier to use.
I do not know why, but it seems the common practice for porn sites to charge a higher membership fee when you join through a trial offer than when you join directly without the trial.
But there is a similar type of unfair pricing for "legitimate" businesses. Newspapers, for example, will offer a lower subscription fee to non-subscribers than to subscribers. So instead of rewarding people who are "loyal" subscribers with lower rates, they offer the lower rates to non-members in the hope of increasing the number of members. The difference in pricing can be large.
Welcome back after a long absence. You wrote a solid review, as usual. Hope to see you much more often, for reviews, comments, general posts, whatever.
Desktop, easier to use. I just got my first laptop, and trying to get used to the keyboard, the small screen (nice-sized for a laptop, but much smaller than a desktop size), the mousepad, etc. is driving me crazy.
