Pros:
I guess I have to start with the obvious, and that is the quantity of the material almost defies belief.
No download restrictions.
There are so many videos, this site in effect, gives you a free preview of anything you wish. It also gives you a chance to check out some videos from producers you haven't tried before.
The way the downloading section is set up is very good. It is perfect for knowing what section or sections of a video you want to download. It would be perfect for downloading from any category on any site, that has nothing to do with porn. The way the stills are set out makes it so easy. I love the simplicity of the downolading too.
They do break up the categories for you, and you can view the videos depending on date or popularity, which is handy. I like the look and way things are set out. Considering the volume of material I think it's about as simple and friendly a system as you could have,
Cons:
There is very little worthwhile fetish material. There are one or two interesting items, but that's about it.
There are very few videos from genuine independents. It all looks the same, even though they have videos from a great number of producers. There are one or two exceptions to this, but 95 per cent could all be from the same company.
As with most teen and amateur stuff, it starts off with the usual feigned surprise or naive innocent looks, to suggest they've never done anything like this before, and within 2 minutes they're at it as though all they've done for the last 10 years is have sex on camera. I strongly suspect that some of them may not be trainee rocket scientists or brain surgeons.
Digging out the gems from so much material can be time consuming.
No photos. Not so good if you like downloading pics.
Their highest "DVD" bit rate is really only average.
Ridiculously low download speeds between 4(!)kb/sec and 70 kb/sec.
Bottom Line:
Remember when you were a kid, and you dreamed of owning a sweet shop. Video Box is that sweet shop. I've never grown tired of chocolate or sweets, and I've never got tired of porn.
There is so much on here, that it's a little mean spirited to suggest it's time consuming trying to dig out the gems. It can sometimes be fun to just browse. You can stumble upon something that you maybe wouldn't have bothered with. The good thing is, it's so cheap you can download 10 worthless videos, and have wasted no money at all. It means you can virtually try out stuff for free. If your taste is for vanilla, straight sex videos, there is enough here to keep you satisfied for just about the rest of your life.
The big weakness for me, is the lack of fetish material, but then when you look at the price, it's hardly surprising. It is a negative, but realistically, if this site had newer videos, and more specialised categories, the price would be triple what it is. But yes, this is the big weakness - too much old stuff, and too much of the same thing, with little variation. It's like a warehouse of cheap videos.
I linked to Video Box from Paysite Discounts, which means $3 off the $17.95 price. I'm surprised TBP don't have this offer, given how popular Video Box is with their people.
I don't wish to be too negative with the negatives, or too positive with the positives, but I have tried to be objective. I know Video Box is very popular with this site. Rightly so. I have to say I think it's still good value. The amount of very good straight sex videos, arranged in a way so that they are easy to download, from a well set out customer oriented site, means I would recommend this to anyone as their very first porn site.
I am not going to tilt too far into the negative because of VERY slow download speeds for me. I cancelled my subscription a few hours after joining because the download speed is so painfully slow I have to be very selective what I download. This undermines the advantage of the enormous amount of material there is on there. I know some of you do have problems with download speed where others have no problems at all.
I will just add that I was down to 4kb/sec on some newer videos, but the speed on the older videos is between 30-70 kb/sec. This may be what the problem is. The newer more popular videos are being downloaded by more people, therefore the speeds are slower. I'll leave it to you tech boffins to comment on that. In fact after attempting to download a number of videos and monitoring the speed, I found nearly all the newer ones were much slower than the older ones.
I wont mark down too much, because the speed may just be my problem. I have never had speeds as slow as this before on any site though. I know this review wont go down to well at TBP because you all love Video Box. It's just what I have found.
As a late edit - I have found some speeds on older videos of up to 300kb/sec. That is some variation! 4kb/sec-300kb/sec
This has finally been resolved thanks to my bank, who have credited the money back to my account and blacklisted Segpay. I wont be using that payment processor again, but if I ever wanted to, I would have to approach the bank to de-blacklist them! Don't think I'll be doing that.
The two most annoying things from this are, it will be a long time before I hand over credit card details to any porn site again, and I was never informed I was signed up to the cam site in the first place.
Mostly I get informed if I'm signed up to these "free" sites, and cancel the minute I receive the mail, just in case. If I had been notified I could have done the same for this organisation.
Unsurprisingly I suppose, I didn't receive my refund. It was supposed to have been sent, but of course they can't understand why I haven't received it.
I mailed Segpay with the following message "Dear Customer Service,
This money has still not arrived. If it does not arrive tomorrow I shall presume it has been stolen and notify the bank and Porn Users accordingly. It looks as though you had absolutely no intent of issuing a refund for money that was stolen from me. Stolen because you and your associates gave my details plus password to a separate company which presumably allowed a hacker access to my debit card. Or does this happen all the time because it is good for business, as people are unwilling to complain? Well I certainly am. I shall pursue this to the end one way or another, even if I have to change bank and cancel my cards, just to make a point about your company."
They replied "If the refund is not in your account until now we will make a follow up to our upper management further assistance."
I understand customer service are just flak takers for dishonest and disreputable management so I didn't say "tell "upper management" (sic) to curtail their afternoon blow job, and get off their fucking arses and do something about it." No, I just told them I have contacted my bank and lodged a complaint, which they have noted.
The bank tells me I am unlikely to receive the money if I haven't received it by now, so on Friday I can start the process of trying to get my money back.
How many thousands and tens of thousands does this happen to? Most are not going to do anything about it, so multiply 5-10 dollars times 5000 for a nice yearly little earner. You get the occasional awkward bastard like myself, but generally it pays to do what they are doing.
Exactly. Bad behaviour and questionable policies tarnish and damage the industry, because people become afraid to hand over their credit card details. But at least they eventually sorted it. I have been told the money has been refunded and will take up to 10 days to reach me.
If time is money, they had to spend a disproportionate amount of time on those few dollars, and so did I, but I was not letting it drop.
Thanks mbaya - yes, and it's not only that they shared my details and VideosZ/Bang password, it's that they also blanked me when I contacted them about the fraudulent charge, like they had never heard of anything like that happening.
From the sound of it this happens a lot, so if they had merely said "yeah this sometimes happens we'll look into it," rather than "only you can authorize a card charge, you must be responsible for the charge, no refund," I'd have been a lot less pissed off.
Hiya Ik, howya doing? Yeah at least I am supposed to get my money back, and it's only a small amount, but the whole effort really pissed me off. I had to work two hours to break down a stone wall.
I'll tell you what bugged me: when I was first contacted by Alison I got the stone wall. She said accounts are free but only you can authorize payments so you will not get a refund. It took about two hours last night to get it all sorted, and I can tell you I was bloody ANGRY.
Giving personal details to affiliates without consent is a breach of privacy, and runs a risk of something happening, as it did to me. One more thing that can be hacked and accessed. That is unacceptable in my opinion, and it means you have lost a customer. I have been a subscriber for the last three months and was happy to just let it ride for another few.
In the end, after a big continual effort (it always takes a monumental effort to get something like this sorted, and maybe that is by design) I was helped and told I would get a refund, but I should never have had to waste two hours of my life in the first place.
This is my first review or comment for several years, and sadly it isn't to commend brilliant customer service, or outstanding quality, no it is to report a fraudulent charge on my card.
I received one of those emails about congratulations you have signed up to live cams when I hadn't, because I never use them. Whenever I receive one I cancel immediately, even if they are free, because I have heard about very dodgy behaviour before on here. Those free cams sites you don't want to join, end up charging you for services you never use.
Strangely enough when I first went to live chat to close down the account that I never signed up for in the first place, they told me the account was already blocked. Then I found a mail which notified me of a charge for $6.54. I immediately cancelled Videosz, and told both Segpay and Videosz/Bang, why I was cancelling. I insisted on a refund.
Segpay have told me they are sending it to top management (lol) and will have to wait 2 days for it to be settled, but I have also heard from "Alison" at Bang, who told me the cams thing is free but you can only authorize payments yourself, so I wouldn't receive a refund, which is very strange because I never use cams sites, found myself signed up to a free cams site, and then charged for something I had never used.
I contacted my bank who told me the charge was "pending." I can only dispute the charge once it has been processed, and then it looks like I will have to cancel my card, as these people cannot be trusted. I have mailed both Segpay and Videosz/Bang to tell them what I am doing.
Look folks, I know you're in a dirty business, but you are dealing with someone who hates being ripped off or cheated. I'll happily donate $100 to charity for a worthy cause, but try to rip me off, and I don't mind in the least yelling, kicking, screaming, and giving my bank and credit card company all the gory details, purely on principal. Don't fuck with me.
Late edit addition - Now it seems there was an illegal access of my account. They managed to block most of the charges and are going to refund the rest. Alison at Bang ended up helping me, but the problem is being signed up for something you didn't want in the first place. It's one more thing to go wrong, one more organisation with your details. The end result is VideosZ/Bang and Segpay now have one customer less because of greed.
I'd have joined this one years ago if not for one of the biggest negatives of all as far as I'm concerned - pre checked cross selling. I never trust my credit card or money with anyone who tries to con me or trick me.
Thanks Messmer, yes I know! I tried to register again to see if they were still doing it - they were. So I then tried to register at Team Skeet. Would you believe it, same old rip em off trick there too. Same mentality that dodgy porn dealers had years ago. Rip em off cos they're not coming back.
So I tried to register at WTF Pass, and low and behold - no cross selling! These are mainly the same sites available through Chicki Porn, with one or two big differences. You not only get 9 sites from WTF Pass instead of 5 from Chicki Porn, You get them $15 cheaper through the TBP/PU link. That's $19.95 instead of $34.95. Not only that, they don't have pre-checked cross selling, unlike Chicki Porn. So that's where my money went.
It's back! The pre checked cross selling is back. I was about to join, then noticed the cross selling box with the tick. Looks like Team Skeet will get my money instead.
You're right. I thought you would be getting a horrible surprise on your credit card, but I just went to the sign up area and it looks like they finally got rid of the tricks department. I think I shall sign up as I haven't had a membership since 21 Sextury last year.
I have thought about joining many times but there is one negative that stops me. They have a pre checked cross sell. I hate it when sites try to trick you. I am pleased to hear you like this one Messmer, as I am sure it is far better than that other unmentionable site. Since the demise of American Vice, this looks to be the best dvd site available.

I would rather pay more for this site than be insulted by Video Box's higher price for Europeans. VideosZ sounds like a really good site. That review has sort of settled it as far as I'm concerend. I originally tried to check out this site. Amongst other things I wanted to find out what they charged, and in what currency I would be paying. I therefore filled in my email address and the prefilled password form. After I did this I immediately received a sign up confirmation for WebCamClub.com. I did not give my email address for this, and alarm bells started ringing immediately. I followed the link to remove my registration from that site. I then tried to get into WildYoungHoneys but found I couldn't do so as my username had already been taken - presumably by me.
I emailed their support, to tell them about the problem. I received no reply. The next day I emailed them again to ask if there was anyone in support. I received a reply from their Longbucks support. I was told they had received no email from me and they asked me what the problem was, and added do not hesitate to contact us via email. I told them what had happened. I received no further communication.
That was the 21 January. Now here I think I am making a good point, and it's this. In these troubled times why on earth doesn't a company just concentrate on getting one thing right i.e. - just getting people to join the websites simply and in an uncomplicated way, without trying to flog them something else the minute they give their email address. They have lost a customer, simply because they seem incompetent and more intent on flogging me something I don't want, than giving good customer service.
Excellent review. I agree about the camerawork being one of the negatives. It's a shame about it being a one man show, as this material would be vastly improved with people behind the camera, and having better lighting and angles.
Yes I agree there Frosty, the massage porn one is not so bad, although that maybe because there is one setting and one couple.
Possibly I am just being too negative (as usual), but we all know these are professional models. Even when photographing amateur models, I prefer to see directors and cameramen who are professionals, shooting in a professional way. But I do take your point. It does make it look more amateurish, which may appeal to some.
I have edited my original comment. You get three extra sites not four like I originally said. In my last reply I then went and typed five extra sites. The mix up came because Chicki Porn is Dolls Porn on WTF. Thankfully Frosty is more reliable than I am.
As an addition I would have hoped the camerawork would improve over the years, but the latest "Wild New Year College Orgy," added at the end of last year, on College Fuck Parties, has not only 9(!) parts, it has some of the worst lighting, and worst camerawork I have ever seen.
Agreed Rusty, this place has some different content which is definitely worth a membership. It's such a great shame they can't photograph professional models in a professional way, and from comments elsehwere, these ARE profesional models. At least most of them are not the same models we see in hundreds of videos, but are relatively fresh faces (and bodies).
