No I never got cheated by another site. This is mainly because of the warnings I have read on here about being signed up automatically any time an unknown link is clicked. It makes me very wary. I suppose being a totally untrusting paranoid conspiracy theorist does have its advantages. I was just too afraid I'd be automatically signed up if I hit one. Think I pressed one of those links by mistake on your site and managed to exit before the page had come up. Spent the next few days checking my card to see if I had been deducted for some unknown reason.
Once again for the record, I like the site and I am pleased you didn't hate the review too much. I would recommend the material to anyone who is looking for something a bit different to the usual cookie cutter porn look. Even 18-19 year olds look professional on a lot of sites, but most of the girls on Torbe do not have that professional look, while at the same time are mostly pretty and natural.
A final for the record - I do tend to believe what you say.
I don't think anyone is trying to make you look bad. The members posting here are long term ones and relaible. I felt really bad that my review should have led to a member being signed up for something without his knowledge. Those ads in the members area are a little annoying and you just don't know what clicking them will lead to. That's why I didn't click them. Sometimes it can be a little unclear which are the bonus sites and which are the extra sign up sites. This is a drawback of having ads in a members' area.
For the record I originally felt good about doing a review because I considered the network brings something different to porn. It's a network that has material I like. I listed the pros and cons in my review. If it leads to people joining I would be quite happy, because imo it is an underrated unheralded site, that has had little publicity. But the negatives are still present. It could be so much better. I would feel awful if someone joined because of my review and it led to them being trapped in a membership they didn't intend to sign up for.
Did they deduct any money from your credit card without you knowing? Did clicking on the link mean you were automatically signed up? Maybe the email from them should read "gotcha, we have your money there's nothing you can do about it." That would at least be more honest. If clicking the link from Torbe Network automatically signed you up, that is really bad, and I should add that to my review and deduct 5 points, if PU will allow that.
Think Argentina X was at the side of the page from what I can remember. Could never work out what would happen if I clicked it, so didn't. It seems it is deliberate policy to make the borders between what your memebrship buys and what it doesn't, unclear.
What happened ace? There were adverts at the bottom of the members' page. I was a bit worried about those, so didn't click them. Did they sign you up the moment you clicked them? I hope it didn't cost you money. Maybe I should go back and highlight this in my review, and take some marks off for dishonest cross selling. It is difficult to sometimes distinguish between genuine bonus sites which come for free, and those where you accidentally sign up without realising it. It's disgusting behaviour and imo dishonest, because it is deliberate trickery.
I know ace, it's time I got up to date. I only just got into external drives a year ago thanks to advice on here, now I love them. I'll have to check out some threads about favoured dl managers.

Thanks for the reply Denner. Would you believe it was your review of the site that got me interested in the first place?! I know you don't like the network all that much, and you are totally correct about your negatives. It's just it is so different from a lot of the other networks that I just had to try it out for myself.
The owner of Torbe network emailed me to ask me why I had cancelled, and I said because of the poor picture side of things, and the POV was a bit irritating and camerawork was not all that good in places. Also the network is not that large compared to some of the big ones. I said I thought it was worth the month's money but not more.
I would be pleased to recommend it to anyone who just wants to check it out and see. If they are looking for something a little different I don't think they would be that disappointed. There have been very few reviews on this network, and if anyone joins I would be interested to hear what they think. It's just they have to consider Denner's negatives and my negatives before deciding to join.
Another small pro, is that sofcore amateur picture lovers may like that side of things. Most of the amateur pitures are softcore only.

Cons:
Very poor for photo fans.
Vid caps are not downloadable. There are some photo files that are faulty and will not download. For hardcore photo fans most of the sites only have softcore photos. There are only a few hardcore photos on the entire network.
Camerawork and lighting is poor in places.
There is too much POV for my taste. In amateur videos if you like to watch the look on the model's face as she has sex on camera for the first or one of the first tines you will be disappointed when all you see is a close up of the two groins, badly lit and out of focus. This is a shame because one moment you get to see the whole girl having sex and the next you get a dark, blurred POV of two groins.
Quite a few of the sites are small and/or dead.
Not many updates even on the more recent sites.
Some material poor quality, especially older stuff.
Minor niggles are the ads at the bottom of the page in the members area, and also the layout, navigation, and model search aren't that brilliant.
Bottom Line:
This is an unusual site for those who say they are jaded about porn, and is something a bit different. The sites either feature Torbe like Torbe In Russia or Torbe Cz, or for instance Josito's Will, where a guy in a wheelchair has sex with beautiful girls. Torbe Couples features amateur couples having sex. Some sites are a bonus but the emphasis is on genuine amateur girls, and niche sites.
Videos come in Quick Time, Ipod, MPEG, and the top rate is WMV at 1280x270.
When my membership ended a couple of weeks ago they advertised 620 total scenes, 250 models, 15,000 minutes, and 900,000 mb.
The sites featuring Torbe have their own idiosyncracies. There is usually a short interview involving Torbe talking to the model. With Priest Damian this is simply changed to an acting bit where Torbe as Priest Damian talks to the girl. After a few minute there is the strip followed by a few minutes of oral then down to sex about 7 to 15 minutes in. The clips are generally about 20-30 minutes. The camera work is unusual. Sometimes it is stationary at the back of the room and you get to see the whole model having sex from almost a voyeur's point of view. I like that. There are not too many quick movements or flashy camerawork. What I hate are the POV sequences. It is the POV close ups where the picture is quite often dark, blurred, out of focus, or jumping around without any purpose. That is annoying. With amateur girls it is often good to look at the whole girl and the look on their faces when they first start to have sex on camera for the first, or one of the first times.
With the poor POV camera view you just see two groins coming together. Not erotic. The lighting is sometimes a problem in the whole of some of the videos too.
Maybe surprisingly Torbe doesn't get in the way too much or become irritating. Yes he sometimes dresses up with silly false teeth and tries to look as ugly as possible, but he doesn't seem the
slightest bit threatening. He comes across more like Benny Hill than Max Hardcore Once the short introduction is over, and the action starts the
main focus is on the girls rather than Torbe.
Some of the sites are dead or have very few updates and are quite small. Here are some examples of the sites.

Possibly the biggest disappointment for me was the lack of picture facilities. Quite a few of the zips did not download properly or not at all. The vidcaps are just one screen of many stills taken from the video but cannot be downloaded. There are very few hardcore pictures.
It's a real curate's egg of a site, but certainly worth checking out, because it is very rare to see so many amateurs with an amateur look having sex.
Accurate assessment. Of the sites I have joined in many respects this one is the most frustrating of all, simply because it should have scored in the high 90's, and would have done if not for the negatives. This is one of the most customer unfriendly networks out there. There is no customer service, and they seem completely oblivious to what is needed to generate, and then keep customers.
Tons of great pics with no zips so they have to be downloaded one by one, is a prime example of complete ignorance about what is needed. Superb videos, well shot, beautifully lit, stunning girls. Should have been better that 21 Sextury. It could have been the best network of all. Coulda woulda shoulda. What a waste.
I never experienced that as a member so it must be new, and very very annoying. All I know is they had non existent customer services. If you need to ask them anything you can forget it. Awful log in procedures, no zips, and a number of other irritations that add up to a company that has complete contempt for its customers. If I want any of their material nowadays I download for free.
There are just times you feel an inherent warning signal. A big red creature with horns saying "trust me," for instance. A site that starts talking about "an amazing amount of porn 25, 30, 60 sites, 1000 of hours of fantastic porn, covering every niche," makes me very suspicious. You usually only get what you pay for, quite often, less. I wouldn't touch this one with a barge pole. It sounds like this organisation is not close to dishonesty, it crosses the line.
It's been variable for a long time here in the UK. Streaming is usually at it's best in the early hours of the morning and at its worst in the late afteroon. Best way is to download, but sometimes you want to see if the video is any good before you download.

Good review, I see you scored it very close to my mark. This place could certainly do with more quality over quantity, but maybe in the current climate, that's all they can do on the budget. Many videos and scenes listed as new, are just old ones which have been repackaged, which is often noted by members.

I agree not only about sorting through garbage to find the gems, but also on some networks (Teen Mega World, and Karup's for instance), bad navigation makes it such a nightmare and chore finding the stuff I want, I end membership after just one month, and think I miss a lot of good material.
If there is one underrated pro for porn sites it is navigation and having decent home pages. If you only have a certain amount of time to view porn you don't want to spend hours searching for something that is downloadable.
I agree about those low quality dvd's, but only a few years ago they were cutting edge quality! We are getting too spoilt.
Thanks for your comments, I take a lot of effort to do a review so I appreciate the feedback. I usually make notes from the first day of membership, jot down a pro or a con, take some stats for the bottom line, jot down an occasional sentence or paragraph for the bottom line whenever I think of one, then after a week or two start to put it all together. I always take several weeks to complete a review because I am constantly tinkering and re editing. I know you and the other members take pride over what you write too.
I only join the occasional site,(and some of those I don't review), because I do actually view the material. I don't just download and store it away, and I only get limited time to watch porn. This is I think a good thing, because you do get jaded after a while, and unless it's brilliant porn, it all starts to look the same.
I know what you are saying about quality. I try to remember those old pirated videos from 30 years ago. Awful quality, but it was the best you could get. We are spoilt for choice and quality nowadays compared to then. Unfortunately once you see the better quality definition, then the rest starts to look inferior. What looked great two years ago, looks inferior now. I love high quality, and VB often gets the picture perspective wrong - something that American Vice got right.
One of the advantages of VB is you can view all sorts of videos with models of different age, size, race, and colour, which is something you can rarely do with most memberships. They claim they are "networks" but many of the sites on those networks all look the same.

Excellent way the pages are set out, you can see stills from the videos at frequent intervals.
You can cut each video to your own length starting and ending where you please.
Reasonably easy search given the amount of material, in many categories, although some on here say it isn't always entirely accurate.
Good amount of dvd's with models of different age, race, and size.
Cons:
Mostly low quality bargain basement porn.
Hard sorting the good quality from the bad because there is so much bad quality.
Slow loading of pages.
Mostly very homogeneous and mainstream, there's still a lack of fetish material.
Still relatively slow downloads, although a vast improvement on my last membership.
Obviously the site is limited by its niche. No original content, no photos, and download picture quality is limited to the original dvd quality, which mostly isn't particularly high def when compared to some modern independent internet porn producers.
Bottom Line:
I could have tried to cure cancer or find a way to feed some of the world's starving, but having thought about it, I decided what the world really needs is yet another VideoBox review. Just cut and paste from the hundreds (thousands?) of VideoBox reviews in the last four years all the pros and cons, and you could make up a great VB review without ever visiting the place. So why you then get reviews as bad as Pros - tons of videos, attractive girls, Cons - poor search, Bottom Line - what more do you want, is beyond me.
What truly puzzled me though, after I originally joined was, why did I find download speeds so slow it was impossible to stream most evenings, and downloading even a few clips, was excruciating and made waiting for the grass to grow, seem like a high octane thrill a minute ride. I hadn't heard about that in the reviews. A victim of their success? So many people joining they didn't have the bandwidth to accommodate them, but couldn't give a rat's arse anyway? Absolutely.
One or two reviews and comments did finally start materialising about those slow speeds. USA seemed okay but it looked like Europe and Canada had the worst speeds, though not everyone suffered. Receiving decent speeds seemed very much a lottery, and my speed was so bad first time around, membership was pointless. Maybe they were vicitms of their own success. Too many members? They weren't falling over themselves to help in customer services (unless it was falling over with laughter, as each email of complaint was automatically consigned to "trash") as there appeared to be no one there. VideoBox Customer Services must be an oxymoron, like military intelligence. I strongly suspect VideoBox is run by the British.
Since the sad demise of American Vice I hadn't joined any dvd site but had always been looking. I yearned to check out VideosZ, but on principal would not give my money to any place that tried to con me out of my hard earned money. I'm talking here about pre checked cross selling, and without it I would not have returned to VB. In fact all of the dvd sites have pretty much the same problems: They are either crap, or have pre checked cross selling. The idea of returning to VideoBox, a site in which I had previously found download speeds so slow, they might as well have been delivered one byte at a time by carrier pigeon from VB to my computer, was anathema.
Why on earth I ever returned to VB I don't know, but completely against the odds and defying my disbelief, I was gobsmacked when I did. My god I could download, I could actually stream some videos, even in the daytime! OMG this time I could actually view some videos. Maybe this time it is me being lucky, as I have recently seen a comment on PU about very slow speeds.
It too often becomes a chore sorting out the good quality from the bad because of the vast volume of awful material, and with the site slow to react when changing pages, browsing can become a painful and irritating experience. I took advice from some experienced PU 'ers and often looked by studio. Pink Visual and Lethal Hardcore are two of the better ones.
Although most of the stuff is very homogeneous and mainstream, you do at least find a large model range of ethnicity, age, and size. Many sites nowadays have models that are nearly all white, young, and thin.
Overall, this time around it was a positive rather than negative experience. VideoBox is no longer my least favourite site, so this time I consider 80 rather than 75 to be a fair mark. I may even join again.
It may be the ability to download material rather than the content that decides the review. I hated Video Box and never went back because they had the slowest download speeds I have ever experienced. Their customer service was non existent. Streaming was impossible except some time after midnight here in the UK. Good material and value but it all depends on the ability to watch it.
For those who can access the content I fully understand why it should get high marks, but it's a lottery on download speeds. From what I have heard US appears not to be so bad, but European members often report of slow speeds and download problems.
I have said a number of times this is the worst site I have ever experienced as far as download speeds are concerned. Mostly the troubles seemed to happen on the European side. It was slow, it was irritating, and most of the time impossible to stream. However Canadians are part of the Commonwealth, so I'll have a word with Her Majesty, after she's finished giving Obama a blow job. She doesn't have much else to do.
I am one of the few dissenters here. I joined them once and never went back. No customer service, the worst download speeds I have ever encountered (down to 1kb/sec on occasions!), regional discrimination, worst of all was the way the videos had the wrong dimensions so the bodies looked distorted. I have to admit I'm virtually on my own with my contempt for videobox.
