-US porn star Tory Lane.
-30 DVD scenes from Diabolic, Zero Tolerance or 3rd Degree. Intense Tory Lane performances. Low video resolution.
-Some exclusive video content. Most of it released back in 2005:
--14 amateur clips: solo, blowjob and some regular sex with husband. Badly lit POV (2 night vision). Hotel rooms; a couple of outdoors.
--1h45 (7 parts) of a 5 girl orgy (lots of behind the scenes, some fetish acts). Could come from DVD.
--4 30s clips of Tory Lane at strip club backstage.
-Most photos taken while filming DVD scenes. Title of the movie they come from.
-Gallery release date stated. Last updates from Oct-2007. Picture count: average 100 but varies a lot (from 5 to 290).
--Galleries from DVD movies: 12 boy-girl, 10 group sex, 9 girl-girl, 28 solo.
--Exclusive galleries: 13 solo related to 4 of the exclusive clips. 5 galleries feature dancing (on stage and behind).

-Allegedly official site but no interaction possible.
-Most movies have no thumbnail preview or have only the DVD cover as a preview.
-Galleries and movie list have links to buy the movie, but it links to the homepage of the store instead of the movie itself.
-9 new videos have been added in 2008. 4 come from Matrix HD (released there back in 2007), 5 are scenes from DVDs released in 2006-2007.
-Site design is extremely plain. I prefer simple designs but this site is quite unpleasant to use.
-DVD scenes resolution: 50% are 320x240 (370 kbps) but some are higher, up to 640x480 (1500kbps).
-Exclusive videos resolution: 320x240 (370 kbps) 10 minutes.
-Photo resolution: a few 1300x900; most 900x600.
-No zipfiles.
-Site was extremely slow (occasional database errors) on the second day of trial membership. Although it maxed out my connection on the first day.
-Some low-quality extra content (photo galleries from porn stars retired 10 years ago, HD video feeds of the same porn stars, etc.). |

For Tory Lane completists, the exclusive videos may be of interest but they are old, low resolution and quite repetitive. Watching old home made sex tapes of someone who has done every sex act ever imagined in over 300 porn movies might have some appeal to someone.
Most photos and movies come from releases by three studios: Diabolic, Zero Tolerance On Demand and 3rd Degree (Third Movies). They have their own websites so the content perhaps can also be found there. According to reviews, at least Zero Tolerance and 3rd Degree are accessible with a single membership. Maybe the resolution is better over there.
The scenes are smoking hot sex but all the exclusive and non-exclusive video content doesn't fill a single blank DVD disk. This should give you an idea of the low resolution.
Site would benefit from a face-lift. And zipfiles. And higher video resolutions. Currently, it looks like it was made in a hurry to justify the free tour.
I don't expect any future exclusive updates or Tory Lane ever filling in site members on her future schedule or news around her career. There are empty schedule and news sections.
Most recent non-exclusive updates were purchased sets and videos from Matrix HD, shot about a year ago. According to IAFD, there are a couple of scenes for Diabolic released in 2007 and 2008 which weren't available here yet. Possibly these and any from the other studios will eventually show up here in the future. |

I don't know now but Kimber James did look feminine before with the darker hair. I didn't suspect anything when I saw the first photo of Kimber James at Christian's blog about a year ago where he introduced the photo simply as "a girl I worked with" leaving aside the TS factor. I see Christian's done several scenes at this site.

I was interested in Valentina Vaughn but, as my review shows, I was quite disappointed with the site she is offering. I knew what I was getting into, though. I see things haven't improved since I left: no updates with Valentina Vaughn during last month.
Haven't been at Misha Online yet but I'm not sure Misha has any connection with this site apart from a few photosets. Maybe she helped get the site started (design, etc) but the exclusive content is mostly very artsy and doesn't seem something Misha would shoot, I believe. Given the great amount of Marquis Models content, I thought instead there might be some connection with Angela Melini.

The model has the looks, knows how to pose and the photos are taken by top photographers. Watching low-resolution versions of good pictures on a cumbersome flash interface makes the experience less than enjoyable. It might be acceptable in a free portfolio site but not when you have typed your credit card info. Flash based galleries nowadays in an adult pay site are hard to justify. I used to think they were an annoying trend that common sense had forced to disappear.
During the last few months, updates consisted mainly of girlfriend sets. Some of them had Valentina Vaughn plus another model but most were solo sets by other models. I believe half of the galleries could be exclusive but, according to watermarks, the other half should be also available at Digital Desire, Misha Online, Marquis Models, Ken Marcus, Penthouse or Juliland (taken by Richard Avery). Non-exclusive videos have watermarks of Marquis Models (almost half), Juliland, Digital Desire, Foot Factory, 24 Main Street. I'd say there are perhaps 3-4 exclusive videos only which are mainly artistic posing.
According to the update log, the site was relaunched in December 2007 but it still has in construction links 9 months later. There's no information on what's the empty "wish list" for or a schedule of cam shows. What's more, every page has a huge banner ad that takes you to abibids.com auction site to see the "new sexy items I'm auctioning off today" but the model seems to have had no listing there in the last 6 months; there's also a non-active niteflirt button (pay-per-minute phone chats) although Valentina Vaughn doesn't appear listed there either. The diary was quite cryptic too; it looked like it was written for life-long friends and not for fans wanting to know what the model was up to.
Go for the trial membership if you like the model and want to sample her work for other sites and some exclusive artistic pictorials. Unless the site gets a serious workout and updates start coming more often, staying for a month like I did is not worth it. |

Works for me now. I remember they did some major changes on the site about a year ago and left a very informative error page; the precise downtime of the site had also been scheduled for some days in a blog entry. I don't see any similar recent blog entry now, though.

Good review. I believe you can, in fact, get 6 DVDs daily if you sign up for the Vivid and Evil Angel premium channels. You have to pay three times the regular price, though. Have you tried them?

I wasn't aware that VideoBox existed a year ago when I came across Porn Users. At that time, I believe it was the top 1 site among PUs but its popularity has recently been dwindling. This is the only DVD site I've ever joined but I believe they do lots of things right. Every PU should join VideoBox at least once.
I've got basically one con: VideoBox metadata is crappy. Google wouldn't be so successful if they indexed the whole Internet but you could only enter a limited set of keywords to find documents or if they left out half the words when indexing. VideoBox should be looking into this because some competitors have also realized that VideoBox metadata and search engine is its weakest asset.
Despite this fact, VideoBox was close to a dream come true for me. During the last couple weeks I decided to look for scenes where the model kept the panties on until the end. Unfortunately, Fetish was the only somewhat useful keyword among the 40 categories. Panties or Clothes keywords would certainly have been welcome because Fetish gave me lots of BDSM which wasn't exactly what I was looking for.
I was forced to browse through the whole collection picking titles here and there that looked promising and using the 6 thumbnails or the streaming option to see if a scene fit the profile. Jumping to other DVDs in the series was easy but director info would have for sure been useful. I eventually came across Intense Industries studio which had lots of them.
I'm no longer a member but still visit VideoBox on a weekly basis. Their free tour works almost exactly like the members area except for the video download and streaming options. I just browse the recent DVDs in my still ongoing quest. Sooner or later, I'll join back. |

Let me friendly disagree on most of the content being years or decades old. There is a fair amount of 90s porn and you aren't getting the scenes the day after the studio releases the original DVD. But, looking at this last week updates alone, I saw more than a handful of DVDs released in 2007-2008 and just a couple of 90s porn. And I wouldn't mind if they had more than the current 15 Jeanna Fine scenes (she's listed in 400+ titles at iafd).
As further proof, if you look at the stars with the most scenes you find mainly still active performers (Trina Micahels, Jenna Haze, Tory Lane, etc). If you go to the bottom of the list, you will find models who started last year with some movies (Missy Stone and Stephanie Cane already have at least 4 each one and they currently have only 20-30 movies at iafd).
The site has flaws (for instance, adding the DVD production date and the name of the male performers to the movies would be a nice touch) and it certainly would be nice if they could add the promo stills companies usually shoot for their movies (Wicked Pictures and Vivid are a couple of examples of companies which I believe that offer a good amount of picture content). But, as it currently is, I believe I'm not the only one who feels it's a dream come true.

Regarding the 22 girls, they are probably singled out as "Vivid Girls" because that's the way they refer to their "contract girls" aka "contract performers" at Vivid. The number 22 is likely how many models they've had under contract over the years.
I haven't been at Vivid in a long time but I was recently at another studio website and their past and present contract models were also singled out from the rest of models that have appeared in their DVDs.
Since studios put a lot of money in marketing their contract models, it's logical their website pays much more attention to them than other models on their DVDs.

Thanks for the info. I see they haven't changed much over the years except for the somewhat higher resolutions. They always have given more importance to quantity over quality. Also, they've been pulling that bigger preview trick from day one. It doesn't make much sense to have so many picture content and that they care so little about it.

You don't mention anything about the pictures. What resolutions are there? Are they grouped by movie only or also by star?
I was a member several years ago and I remember they had quite extensive galleries for each movie although the resolution was quite small.

Other cam sites also have trouble showing the status of a model. Some only have a generic online status when the model is online but don't tell you whether she's in free chat, a private show, a reduced rate group show or whatever and you have to click on the model and go to the profile page to find out.

I probably got it wrong: a particular model (Violet Monroe I believe it is) had been tweeting for a week about her upcoming appearance on Monday and I assumed all models were the same. Looking at this site's twitter, though, they do announce performers in advance so putting that list also at their site wouldn't do any harm.

I also heard about the site through a model's twitter. Since models seem to know their schedule in advance, I don't get it why they don't put up a weekly schedule at the site and expect instead potential customers to wade through their twitter updates; guess I'm old fashioned.

If you compare the cast at this site with the cast of the DVD series at iafd, there's a lot of overlap. What's more, some of the DVDs are available at DVD sites and the previews there are for the same scenes seen at Whale Tail'N preview pages.
On the other hand, none of the DVDs in the series has Jessica Lynn or Rachel Roxxx (among others) in the cast but Whale Tail'N shows them in the preview page. So, unless there's a DVD in the series not listed anywhere, those might be original scenes.

You can see Porn.com, All Adult Pass or Mega Site Pass as a humongous bonus for Whale Tail 'N or Whale Tail 'N as a tiny no-longer-updating part of Porn.com, All Adult Pass or Mega Site Pass.

Isn't this site part of Porn.com or Mega Site Pass? Some PUs have been complaining about download speeds from this company (myself included).
What I remember from when I was a member recently is that Whale Tail 'N had around 20 scenes only and about half of them were available in any major DVD site. Site was no longer updating.

I'm not an expert but, regarding the zip files not working, you may try repairing them with a standalone compression software like winzip or winrar (both have free trial options).
