As lk2fireone mentioned, it was probably a pre-checked cross sell. That would have happened when you went to pay for Evil Angel and fuckbuddy was pre-checked. Most of us have fallen prey to this deceptive sale.
If you haven't already done so and you're not interested, I suggest not logging in to fuckbuddy. In addition to contacting Evil Angel, I suggest contacting webbilling.com and tell them you had no intention of joining fuckbuddy and ask for a refund. As a last resort and if you're so inclined, you can dispute the charge with your bank.

* Cheap, cheap, cheap
[Just trying to make a point and probably the best reason for joining. At 49 cents a minute (if you spend $100), this is a fraction of the price of other cam sites, not that I am an aficionado of this stuff.]
* A good number of amateurs which is a plus and minus.
* Customer support is much improved. I've had several legitimate complaints about the girls over the years. I often get an apology, a credit and they kick the girl off the site.
* Mostly Eastern Europeans, Latinas and Filipinos - I never came across anyone from the US. I consider that a plus.
* A rating system that mostly works along with comments made by users. You have to take the comments with a grain of salt though, since some are bogus. But as a whole, they're helpful. There's also a 5 star rating system which is useful.
* Uses CC for credit cards - I never had an issue
* Half price specials every so often |

* It is not private chat and you start paying the moment you enter the girl's room. Some models ignore you (or don't notice you're there).
* Many of the models will drag on chatting as long as possible to maximize profits, no matter what you say, i.e., TAKE IF OFF B!THCH -- just joking. I can understand that but some are unreasonable. All the while, you're paying.
* Some models will only chat and it might take 5 minutes or more to realize that.
* The majority of models are 6 or under though there are 9+'s on there also.
* I've heard that management is late with payments to the models and is not a primary concern of theirs. This is an unsubstantiated rumor. The women only get half, the site gets the other half. And they get less if they're going through a sponsor's computer, which seems to be common. The low payments to the models may affect the quality of women and explain why there are no Americans. |

To be clear, the high score given by me is based on both value and quality. If I had to break it down, it would be 100 for value and 70 for quality.
This site is modeled differently than other sites and I think it works. With other sites, at least the ones I'm aware of, you get to chat with the model before entering the room and start paying. But it's difficult to chat with a model when there are umpteen other people trying to do the same. There could be a dozen or so guys chatting along with you.
On Extasy, you go right into the room and start paying. Since it doesn't seem to be a very popular site, the models are often alone or with one other person. This is particularly true at off times, i.e., not the weekend. You generally get the same interaction here when you enter as you would if you entered a room in another site. The drawback of course, is that you don't have the opportunity before you start paying to judge the model. All in all, I think the system works as long as you keep in mind you're paying from the moment you enter the room and you take a few moments to look at the rating and reviews of the model.
I've been a member of this site for many years. I don't use it very much cuz as I said, cams aren't really my thing. So bear in mind, I am not all that familiar with the competition. However, I do enjoy it every so often. Usually, $100 worth of minutes will last a month or two or more.
Before entering a room, you get photos to look at and a quick live blurb. There's also a description written by the models which should be completely ignored. Many of them just use the same one the girl who occupies the room during the other shift uses. The best indicator if a model is good is the number of stars that users have given her and how many ratings she has. You get all this info before entering. For example, if someone has 5 stars and has only 1 rating, it's meaningless. It could be the sponsor who gave her the star. But if she's got 4 stars and 20 or more ratings, than you're chances are excellent of having a good experience.
I have mostly good things to say about my experience. I've come to understand the ratings which minimizes my chances of having a bad experience. I also have a rule of thumb that I give the woman no more than 5 minutes to show me she's serious. However, sometimes I don't mind just chatting and getting little exposure. I figure for the price, it's not a big deal.
I notice that many cam sites charge upwards of $1/minute. I would constantly be watching the clock if I was paying that. Here, I don't worry about it so much.
There is also the option of tipping (in minutes). Some models are aggressive about it saying they'll only do such and such for a tip. Mostly though, I rarely get asked for a tip though I make it a habit to leave one if deserved. |

Hi Guss. There are many comments in the reviews and comment section about the difficulties with canceling on this site. Based on those comments, it seems that they make life difficult to cancel and take their time, but eventually do honor the cancellation request within a week.
Assuming you are located in the US which I believe you are, you are protected by federal banking regulations. If you paid by credit or debit card, you have further protections. While the law is not clear how much time you must give to cancel a recurring subscription, I believe the term "reasonable" applies. I would take that mean 3 business days, not 30 days.
Personally, I would sit tight - you have a month before the recurring charge is due to take place. Just make sure you have your cancellation request documented. If they charge you, dispute it assuming you used a debit, credit card, paypal or ACH. You will prevail and the bank or credit card company is obligated to issue a credit. Having said that, others have warned against disputing for the reason that you may get blacklisted. Personally, I wouldn't be concerned about this.

I'm with you on amazon. I spend a fortune with them and am a prime member in addition to prime fresh. Too bad they have bad (presidential) politics. But let's not go there. Jet has better prices on some items and carries some things that amazon doesn't. In my limited dealings with them, their delivery has been as fast if not faster than Amazon. The concept is basically the same though Jet carries only a fraction of the items that Amazon carries. Competition is a good thing.
As to how the bank allows duplicate authorizations - it's because they're for different amounts and the bank can't distinguish that it's a duplicate. Jet initially authorizes for the entire purchase. A day later, they authorize for individual purchases. For example, I purchased 3 items in my latest order. Immediately following placing the online order, they authorized the entire amount. The next day, they authorized each item separately. The bank told me that several of the authorizations were duplicates and they rejected them (I ordered 5 cases of water and apparently they tried to authorize each case separately).
I can't fault the bank - how are they supposed to know? Being a nut when it comes to these things, I called up Visa USA and asked for clarification about Visa's rules. Talk about bureaucracy! I got nowhere. I know I know, I'm an obsessive nut when it comes to these things. ;)

Not to digress.... coincidentally, I was just speaking with my bank about authorizations from jet.com - the company that aspires to be amazon.com. What a racket! It's my third time ordering from them and I keep forgetting about their ridiculous policy. They authorize all purchases twice thereby tying up available funds. The duplicate authorizations go away eventually, but that doesn't mitigate the hardship it may cause by having funds unavailable needlessly. When I questioned jet.com, I was told it was the way their system operates. Great answer! Calling my bank simply to find out if they're allowed to do this was an exercise in patience and I eventually hung up after being transferred around. I personally don't really care about the funds being unavailable - it's the principle. The experience was something out of Kafka. I don't know how they get away with it.

I joined only because of Manila Exposed. I have seen this series on a pay per minute site and enjoy the videos very much. So, I wanted to get my mitts on them so I wouldn't constantly have to pay to watch them. I also didn't know if I had seen every single one. Apparently, I did see them all on Hotmovies. I was sorely disappointed because the quality really sucks and it is not a replacement for viewing the HD versions on Hotmovies. In other words, a waste of money.
The poor quality applies to the other sites too. The scenes were somewhat boring as it is, but it was torture to watch them in such poor quality.
I only recommend the site for the Manila Exposed site and only if you don't care about quality. The price is right at $19.95 for the first month. |

If you paid by debit/credit card, I would threaten to dispute. Just the mere threat of a dispute is generally enough to persuade a processor to issue a refund. At least that's been my experience. My guess is that the processor knows they're gonna lose and they are jeopardizing their status with the credit card companies, i.e., Visa Int'l or Visa USA.
I have gone through with a dispute a few times and I've always prevailed and gotten my money back. Other members say that this may cause problems in the future by getting blacklisted. I've never had such a problem.

Excellent review. I was rather surprised to see a pay-site review from a veteran, pleasantly so. Hot Movies was the first porn site I experienced, the first review I left on PU, albeit uninformative, and the subject of my first post in the forum. Memories.
I hadn't visited the site though for years. I traded in going to pay sites for downloads. Then I decided to go back and look at Hot Movies a week ago. Your review is a coincidence though it reaffirms my thoughts. I still had 10 minutes left on my account. I forgot how much exclusive and excellent contact it contains. I miss this site and am going to plunge into it again.
Ironically, another veteran member called me a shill after my first post where I mentioned this site (and another site). It was such an unkind welcome that if it weren't for graymane (where is he?!), I was gonna take my ball and go home. Glad I stayed.

I probably sound like I work for them. It's my one and only review and perhaps you think I'm a shill. I'm not, I promise. One of my issues is that I've used this site almost exclusively and have been a member for seemingly forever. They used to be called Abbey's something or other, which was strange. Anyway, I look at other sites, particularly the highly rated sites, and they don't seem to hold a candle to this site. Yet hotmovies is not a widely used site (at least judging from reviews) and the reviews in general are not great. I don't understand that but that's not my concern. I'm not trying to convert anyone. What I do need is some new blood cuz this site is starting to get old to me. I was hoping to find that here. If someone wants to comment on some other sites that have similar features to hotmovies, I'd very much welcome that. I haven't found any. |

Thank you Amanda! I'm not complaining, too much anyway. It was awfully sporty of them to charge only $1.48. I was able to download all the available scenes once I figured out the limitation. -) But yes, it should be mentioned on the trial somewhere about the minor limitation, not that it should or would prevent anyone from taking advantage of it.
Not to digress, but I do have a very legitimate complaint. When I first joined, the download button wasn't available and it seemed to be streaming only. I sent a message to them and never heard back. Bad support, boo. Later on though, the download button seemed to appear.

I did go the link you provided and sent a message at the time of the problem but received no response.
However, things seem to be okay now except for the extra $4.95 charge. The $29.95 charge was reversed and it's not worth the energy to fight the $4.95 charge.

I think most of us will agree that Epoch and CCBill are the gold standard. Unfortunately, we don't always have options.
Japan HDV uses 3 processors, something I never saw before. I never experienced a site that uses different processors give the user an option which one to use, but then again, I haven't been around the block as much as you. One has to play games to get to use the processor of choice, like put in incorrect credit card info with a processor that you don't want to use and hope it defaults to the preferred credit card processor. I wonder what the rationale is behind this.
In my case, I wasn't paying attention to the credit card processor being used and simply accepted the default. My bad and I'm paying for my mistake, if not monetarily then with a waste of time dealing with this now. I have to think most users don't pay attention all that much to credit card processors. This group happens to be a savvy bunch and we make a big deal about processors as we should.
On the plus side, for me anyway, I never lost a nickel. I have no issue disputing a charge with my bank. I've always prevailed in disputes and never had it backfire on me by being blacklisted anywhere. I also find that once you threaten a site or credit card processor with a dispute, they generally back off. I'm guessing that's because they don't want to lose their processing privileges.

[In my opinion, the Japan HDV network is amazing in most every respect. Not only are all 7 sites winners as far as content, but they also contain most of the small and not so small qualities that are just as important to the overall experience, i.e., video/photo quality (though that varies somewhat), searching features, organization, support, etc.
I’m prefacing all my reviews of the 7 sites with the following caveat. For all intents and purposes, 3 of the sites are virtually identical in type of content – Japan HDV, AV Idolz and JAV HQ. The entire network is similar in format and structure. After some consideration, I decided to do separate reviews instead of one overall review since 4 of the sites are vastly different in content. However, because of the similarities, some of the reviews are repetitive. It’s a great network and IMO, the best JAV network, plus you get a bonus of a very hot Thai site.]
This is the network’s premier site and boasts a variety as well as an abundance of videos and photos including bukkake, group sex, BJ’s, hardcore… you name it. Good uncensored Japanese sites seem to be a rare commodity and Japan HDV is the best Japanese site I’ve come across. The site is extremely well-organized as noted above. Some may find the Japanese taste a little strange and over the top with too much focus on toys, bukkake, outdoor and zany scenes. However, there’s enough assortment to please most anyone with an affinity towards Japanese women. The women are mostly good looking model types. While I am not familiar with who’s who in the porn industry, many of the faces are familiar and at least some of the content is not exclusive. I didn’t find much to criticize.
