I should add, in the interest of fairness, that my email received a response that was quick and effective. My advice to anyone joining an add-on here is to keep you joining email for any information you may need to cancel. I did, and though that didn't work I suspect that having all that information to provide in an email helped out.

This is a great addition to all the other information on Bangbros. They have some good stuff so I often feel compelled to join, but it is a minefield where one wrong click could end up costing you.
What I really don't get is why they do this. That have some excellent porn and probably make a decent profit so why alienate your customers like this? Surely having confident customers who aren't worried that you're trying to fleece them is a better business model than the one they currently use.

I think you summed up this network best when you wrote that members "have to walk on eggshells virtually across a site to avoid hidden charges or scared of later billing issues." I rejoined last weekend after I swore I never would. I went to the site and literally stared at the page for about two or three minutes until I could figure out where it was likely safe to click. I don't mind up-sells and ads, but when they're this underhanded about billing for them there is no excuse for that. I also made a promise to myself that I'd never pour myself a drink and sit down to view this site - I want all my brain cells firing to avoid a mess here.
They're an excellent site otherwise. It baffles me that they'd want to screw over customers like they do.

This kind of crap could be the beginning of the end. I was a member here a while back and I signed up for two of the add-on sites. I didn't have a problem cancelling then, but if it wasn't for the comments here I probably wouldn't have discovered that the add-ons need to be cancelled separately from the main membership. That is counter-intuitive (and more than just a bit shady) given that the add-ons I added were actual company sites.
Fucking me over on a payment or cancellation is probably the quickest way to ensure that a website never gets another dime from me - and thanks to sites like PU we can share that information.
Based on this and other comments, my chances of every taking another membership to Bangbros is zero unless I see good evidence that they've changed their ways and treat customers with respect.

This has been one of the most difficult reviews I’ve written here. On one hand, this network offers a lot of decent porn for a low price. On the other hand, it takes an “all-you-can-eat-buffet” approach to porn: there’s lots of it but a lot of it seems the same. I would (and will) recommend the site, but only for people looking for specific things in a porn site.
Bang Bros doesn’t need much of an introduction here, but for those who don’t know it, it is a collection of 20+ sites covering a wide variety of niches. The sites are listed at TBP so I won’t mention them here. There is lots of variety, and lots of well-known talent here too. The scenes are shot reasonably well and the website is relatively easy to navigate and use. I have no idea how many scenes are on offer, but it has to be several thousand at least.
Each scene on each site opens into a separate page where you can select how to view the scene or photos. The scene can be streamed in “light,” “medium” and HD. I can’t vouch for those as I prefer downloads. Downloads are available as WMVs and MP4s. While the MP4s are available in several file sizes (from “small” to “HD”) the WMVs are only available in one size. I prefer WMVs so that’s what I downloaded. Those come in at 640x480 @ 1100kb/s and 30fps. Subjectively, they’re what you’d expect for those specs. I do wish that the network offered more choice for WMVs. While this isn’t widespread, I did find a higher number of WMV files with unsynchronized audio than I’d see on other sites. This is a fairly rare problem, so to have it occur on 20+ scenes seems high.
The network does offer a lot of material in HD. The HD is MP4 only and comes in at 1280x720 at 3000kb/s and 30fps. These, obviously, look a lot better than the low resolution WMVs.
While photos are available, this really isn’t a photo site. The photos are screencaps of the videos and are available as singles or as zips. I didn’t download any photos.
Speaking of downloads, while the network would allow you to use a download manager to increase the download speed, the link timeouts were so short that a manager couldn’t be used to queue up multiple scenes. The timeouts are the shortest I’ve ever encountered on a site that still allows download managers, being less than two minutes before the link would go dead.
This isn’t a pro or con, but it seems odd that the network stops updating sites but creates another one with a similar niche. It really doesn’t matter, but why stop updating one BJ site only to create another similar one? Not to be too cynical, but my guess is that it helps in marketing by being able to say you have more sites.
The network does have its flaws, though I’ll admit many of the flaws I see are subjective. My biggest issue is that when browsing a specific site you have a thumbnail of the scene and below that is the scene name and the date it was uploaded. While I have nothing against providing that information, I do wish that they’d also provide the model’s name. I found it easier to browse the network by model than by site.
This is definitely a subjective criticism, but the site seems to favour larger models than I normally like. I’m not talking BBW or anything like that, but my preference runs to the more petite models. Petite models are here, but the site seems to favour those with larger breasts and asses. Tattoos are also plentiful. If you like your models petite and unadorned, you may not like this network. On the other hand, there are a lot of different ages and races here too.
Another issue here is that even after joining the network you’ll see lots of ads for other sites and up-sells for other, additional-cost, network sites. While I can understand why a network would want to generate more income, this network really makes these ads and up-sells prominent. (But since I joined two of the up-sells, they obviously work.)
The network manages its own accounts so there is no biller. As exotics4me noted in a comment, you really need to make sure your membership is cancelled, a particularly is you’ve added sites for additional cost. The simple means for cancelling only applies to the main network so unless you specifically cancel the add-on sites that billing may recur.
As I said at the beginning, even with the flaws I’d still recommend this site, though not to everyone and only after explaining the site’s weaknesses. I’d recommend the site to someone looking to access a lot of porn for a decent price where quality isn’t the motivating factor. Who would this be? Likely someone deciding to give up on “tube” sites and start actually paying for the porn they use. I wouldn’t recommend this network to a long-time porn collector with experience with great sites. That would be recommending that someone who dines at Morton’s Steakhouse try Uncle Moe’s Family Feedbag. Both serve a purpose, but some people won’t feel satisfied at Moe's. |

This isn't the first time that's happened, and it doesn't only happen with online purchases, but that's the majority of times that they've called me. Embarassingly, Bang Bros doesn't bill too discretely. I should have just confessed to the young lady on the phone that I was downloaded the new Tanner Mayes anal scene.

Thanks for all the useful information. I do appreciate it. I agree that I'm probably pre-disposed to not liking the site because the models aren't what I normally look for, but even when I approach it objectively it has some serious flaws. The biggest annoyance is that the site is heavily reliant on ads. The price of your membership gets you access to a lot of porn, but also to a huge amount of advertising and upselling.
My membership turned out to have an unusual quirk too. TBP says that the trial is limited so I signed up for the full membership on May 30. That seemed fine until 10 minutes later when my bank called and said they had put a hold on my credit card because they were suspicious of the biller. I said everything was okay and they asked if there would be other charges through this biller and I said it wouold be just this once. This morning I tried to access Bang Bros and I can't download anything. Even the regular sites want me to 'upgrade.' I was about to contact support and when I was looking at the confirmation email it turns out I ended up with some sort of a one-day full trial membership. It was to rebill on the same day - May 30 - which seems weird. But... since I told my bank that this was a one-time thing they blocked the rebill so I no longer have access. That's the bad news. The good news is that I learned that I really don't like Bang Bros and I got off light with a $1.50 charge.
I only wish I could learn other lessons so inexpensively.
Again, thanks for taking the time to give me the information I was looking for.

Thanks for this exotics. These are the sites that are still available but there doesn't appear to be any ability to bundle any of them any more. There may be, but it isn't obvious. The fact that some of them are streaming only means I'll steer clear of them. One site I was thinking about paying for is pretty pricey and the reviews note that it hasn't updated in three years.
I'm really surprised at how middle-of-the-road this site is. The biggest thing I've noticed about the site (pat362 noted this as well) that the site is a tool to sell ads and ungrade. This happens on other sites too, but I've never had it so up-front.

Exotics - I just joined this site and have a question about the add-on packs. I can't see that there are any "packs" available, just individual add-on sites. And some of those can be very expensive. The site seems to have undergone a major re-work because the link from TBP takes me to a site that looks quite different from what the site looks like now, although I do have an option to go back to the old site look. I'd do that, but on the old site download managers don't seem to work even though they do for the same scene on the new site. Also, the old site seems to filter out scenes from the add-on sites but those are shown in the new site - with no warning that you can't download them. You might see a scene that you really want only to find when you click on it that you can't have it unless you pay an additional $20.
Anyway, all that to ask am I understanding you correctly when you say there were bundled add-on sites at one time? If so, those are either buried deep or not available anymore.
Overall, I'd have to say that I'm pretty underwhelmed by this network. I really expected better considering that they are so well known. I joined specifically for a new Tanner Mayes anal scene and in the WMV version the sound is completely screwed up. It seems to be in sync at the beginning but it gets out of whack throughout and by 3/4 the way through it has to be off by a minute or more. I'll try another version tomorrow.

I'm willing to cut the Quebec students a little slack (but not much) because as an English Canadian I can't really understand the social background of Quebec. But... it is awfully hard to sympathize with them. In 2012 I'm pretty sure that they're paying lower tuition than I did in elsewhere in Canada 20+ years ago.
On an unrelated, but more important note, a few weeks ago you responded to a thread and in that response you pointed to a website that gave model aliases and websites for thousands of models. It wasn't Euro Babe Index. I'll admit that I haven't looked for it because I thought you might remmeber the site. Can you remember what it was? Thanks pat. So far my ISP hasn't imposed download limits, which likely makes it the only one in Canada left not doing that. Cell and internet users need to take a page from the students in Quebec and make some noise. My wife has a smart phone with a voice and data plan and that one phone makes up 50% of our telecom (phone, cell, TV, internet) bill every month.

I wouldn't call any of the scenes 'intense.' They are pretty standard hardcore. I don't mean that in a bad way though. I haven't seen any face fucking, but I've seen most of what is on all the sites. There is anal sex and some anal toy play too. It's pretty good because she is so tiny, but don't look for Max Hardcore intensity here. As for DPs, I haven't seen any of those either and those are obviously easier to find by just looking at the scene description. I won't say there aren't any, but I don't recall seeing any. There are lots of b/g/g though if you're into that.
If you're planning to join I strongly recommend that you do so through Young Legal Porn. Like2fireone (I think) reported that the TBP/PU discount isn't offered when you join through 18 Only Girls. I'm not sure about any of the other sites, but I checked the join page at YLP and it does offer the discount. And if you have an interest in Beata then you'll need 'network' access for sure. Beata has a lot of material on Young Legal Porn and 18 Only Girls so saving yourself $10 will mean you leave a lot of her stuff unseen.
