This is an excellent review. I really appreciate all the detail. This is a site I've thought about joining but never did and I think I'll pass now having read your comments. The model age is 10 years more than I prefer and I'm not a fan of big, fake breasts. (Or any fake breasts, for that matter.)

Interesting point. By system drive I take it you mean my internal hard drive where the OS is? So if I point the download to an external drive (not SSD) that might speed things up?

My HP experience is a bit different. I had always had a Dell custom built and was careful to get as much performance as possible for my money. A few years ago I realized that my computer was getting a bit old and that I just didn't need the horsepower that I once did so I just went to Costco and bought an HP off the shelf. It's probably fine for what I really, really need, but I still find it slow. Part of that was a glitch that appeared early on. It had 10GB of RAM but then the whole computer stopped working. A tech couldn't explain why, but it worked fine if one of the sticks of RAM was removed. It made no difference which one was removed. There were two 4GB sticks and one 2GB stick so the 2GB was removed. But I find now that it doesn't like multi-tasking. If I'm downloading something using IDM then the computer is pretty much useless for anything else. Maybe IDM is a huge resource hog. And given the age of the computer I'd expect the USB slots to be at least 2.0 but the way they transfer data I'm guessing that they're 0.05! Sloooow!
Next time I'm likely going to have one built by a local shop. I've developed a relationship with this place because to send my HP for warranty work requires shipping it to some place faaaaar away and waiting for a month. I can pay and get it fixed in a day. But that means that warranty I paid for is money pissed away.
But I'm sure a lot of this is because I should have done more homework before buying...

I can't really say, but I can say that since the Canadian dollar has lost a lot of value relative to the U.S. dollar it has affected my porn buying habits - of European sites that use the U.S. dollar and of American porn site.

We're definitely on the same page when it come to glory hole sites.
When I first joined GH Secrets the previews made it look exactly like GH Swallow (I was worried it might even be a clone) but I was only slightly disappointed to learn that they use a mock GH. But it sound like you and I share a trait: the fact that GH Swallow is recorded in an actual adult theatre adds a whole different layer of heat to the scenes.

Definitely one of the advantages that Glory Hole Swallow has is the realism from using a real glory hole in a real adult theatre. For me, and it sound like for you too, that adds a lot to the scene. Obviously there are a lot less risks going with a staged setting, and the staged booth here is better than the fake bathrooms that most other sites use.
You're likely right about the male talent too. At Glory Hole Swallow they have a forum where the members can sign up to be one of the guys getting a blowjob. Glory Hole Secrets has an FAQ page and I expected to see something to that effect too but didn't. The absence of that tells me that they use known talent.
Still, it's a good site even if they are trying to copy Glory Hole Swallow - at least they've chosen a great site to emulate.

Another confirmation that this site is no longer worth joining. I kept a recurring membership there for several years but cancelled maybe five years ago. Back when I cancelled the recurring membership the site was starting to fall behind and they've done nothing to stop that gap from increasing. I'm convinced that they need to drop the five-DVDs-per-day and focus on quality DVDs and better file resolutions. I suspect that there are tube sites that have better quality.

I'm not exactly sure what the question means, and that's probably more a refection of me pushing 50 and not that the question was unclear.
I certainly don't search porn on any device while I'm in a public space, but I have checked PU and TBP while staying in a hotel on a free wifi account. I'm not sure if that would be a yes or no to the question.

Pat - good news or bad news, thanks for posting this. Anyone reading this should follow pat's advice and join through I Worship Anal. Jimmy Hooligan promises some improvements, but for now the DPD site doesn't have any older stuff up. It is a very small site and I suspect that he'll update with some of the older stuff. Pat is correct that the IWA site has everything, and for $5 cheaper.
I follow a ritual before joining most sites. I read any TBP review and then all the reviews and comments here at PU. I'm thinking that I need to email you first too!

I generally avoid any free sites because most of them rely on piracy. When I do go there it's only to see scenes from a pay site that I'm interested in and the tour pages are poorly done. If webmasters would put up tour pages that allowed a better look at what you're paying for then I wouldn't go to free (piracy) sites at all.

I wondered how long they could continue with this practice. While their porn isn't mainstream it isn't niche enough to make prospective members jump through so many hoops. The high price alone will deter buyers so why would they add to the impediments?
