First, please let me introduce you to an 800lb. gorilla in the room because readers will definitely notice it: yes, this is an EXTREME site. It isn’t for everyone. Heck, I’m pretty sure that a lot of it isn’t even for me, and I’m a fan of extreme anal stuff. So, readers, please remember that even if you don’t like this niche, I’m wearing my reviewer’s hat as much as my pervert’s hat, so please keep the comments civil.
The other 800lb. gorilla in the room is the fact that the site offers no downloads at all. That goes for photos and videos. The site explains and justifies that by noting the risk of piracy if we, people who actively support pay sites, are allowed to keep what we see. I have no doubt that piracy is probably the biggest problem in the online porn industry today and I’m sure it hurts small sites like this much more than big sites, but I am not convinced that penalizing supportive paying customers is the solution. I really hope that the site re-thinks this policy.
Hot Kinky Jo is an attractive Russian model who speaks good English and appears to be in her mid-20s. She’s petite and has looks more common in mainstream porn rather than the often rough, hard look of a model who pushes the limits in extreme fetish porn. One niche that the site promotes is prolapse or “rosebud” porn. I am most definitely NOT a fan of this and I know this sounds weird, but I have no stomach for prolapse stuff in the middle of a fisting video.
The site is very small, which is likely because it’s so new. There are only 17 videos and 15 photo shoots available as of this writing. To make matters worse, the videos are short, all coming in at just under eight minutes long. But I’m guessing that if you’re having your ass fisted, eight minutes could seem like an eternity…
The photo sets all have 100+ photos. Many of the photos shoots appear to be shot at the same time as the videos.
The site, which only began last month, currently updates every two or three days. Video updates seem more frequent than photo updates.
I can’t give full specs on the videos or photos because I don’t know how to do that for streams. The videos are offered in three resolutions, low (1.5MB/s), medium (5)MB/s) and HD (10MB/s). I have a 60MB/s fibre op connection and I found the HD stuff unwatchable due to stuttering and long and frequent buffering delays. But when the HD stuff played, it did look good. The medium looks excellent too and didn’t suffer the same problems. The photos also offer three resolutions. Both videos and pictures open into a viewer on the page. I really can’t give much more technical detail because I don’t normally use streaming.
Not that this is relevant, but this site is the first I’ve noticed that uses the new “xxx” top-level domain. Until I noticed that I couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t find the site by simply googling “hotkinkyjo.”
I’ll usually base a recommendation on value. And for me, cost is only one factor in deciding on value. Given the uniqueness of this site I’d normally be willing to say it provides decent value even though it costs $30 per month and only has a small amount of material. But – and this is only my opinion – the lack of downloads means I just can’t recommend this. Until they offer downloads I won’t be back and I’d only recommend the site to someone who really likes this niche and understands that it is streaming only.

I use Free Download Manager successfully on the site. I use it to queue up downloads. The only problem is that the links seem to go dead fairly quickly so I can't load more than five or six files at one time. As for speed, I didn't have a problem.
Free Download Manager has stopped working for me and until I can figure out what went wrong I'm using a trial of Internet Download Manager. IDM worked fine on a sister site.

We’ve had this discussion here before: can a site still have value if it isn’t updating? I come down strongly on the ‘yes’ side of that debate. In this case, even if you pay full price you get approximately 80 hours of exclusive video for $18. That’s fair value even if it isn’t updating.
Brandi Belle is a cute, late-teen, early-twenties model. I’d never seen her before so I assume her only work is on this site. She’s definitely attractive, but not necessarily got a ‘porn’ look to her. She looks more like the hot girl next door.
While the site is technically a solo girl site, it isn’t like so many other solo sites: it offers solo scenes, girl/girl scenes and even boy/girl hardcore scenes. What makes the site stand out, however, are the scene set-ups in many of the scenes: many of them aren’t the standard scenes so common in porn. Sure, a lot of the scenes use common set-ups, but many have quirky set-ups like having three girls lie down and see how far a guy can ejaculate onto them, or deciding whether the Fleshlight feels as good as the real thing. Those set-ups add some fun and spice to the scenes and make them more interesting to watch. Some of the scenes seem to feature real amateurs too. They appear to be the genuine thing since some of them are pretty nervous about being on camera.
The site is part of the Bang Bros network and you have a choice of how you get access. I added it as an extra-cost add-on to my BB membership but they also have a 1-day full trial or you can get monthly access to the site for an $18 TBP discount. I don’t know if you buy the latter membership if you get full network access too. When adding the site as an extra cost add-on it appears that you get full access to the site. I note this because I also added Public Invasion and only got access to a handful of the scenes offered on the main site. TBP states that there are 200+ scenes on the site and I downloaded most of them and have 205.
Since this is a Bang Bros site it is organized in the same way as the other sites on that network. There really is no need for a search function.
Download speeds were average but as with the rest of the network while download managers work the timeouts on the links are so short that using a manager is difficult.
Like Bang Bros, the videos are available in WMVs or MP4s. Since the videos were produced and added between 2005 and 2007 the video quality isn’t up to 2012 standards. It was probably just average when it was produced. I use WMVs and the most common resolution is 640x480 at 1000kb/s and 30fps. The next most common resolution is 720x406 at 1500kb/s and 30fps.
Back in April exotics4rme noted that there could be problems in cancelling your membership when you add on additional sites. Those concerns are still valid. While a simple click will cancel your main network membership you will have to hunt around to find any add-ons to ensure that those are cancelled too. I’m not saying that I think they do this deliberately, but they don’t make that clear and they don’t make it easy. This could be solved if they used a reputable biller but they don’t – they bill in-house.
The bottom line is that the site is large enough and offers three membership options that can make the site a good value even if it no longer updates. The site offers a lot of video and a unique take on the solo girl niche. I’d recommend it to anyone who likes the niche and likes Brandi Belle’s look.
Thanks for your comments. As far as I can tell, the site continues to release shoots and scenes over a long period of time. I can't be 100% certain since they don't give the date of the shoot. It's also possible that because they have a roster of regular models that it may just appear that they're releasing stuff over an extended period.
The good news, I guess, is that no other TBP / PU member should fall into the same trap.
What bugs me about this is that the site clearly says why they're running things this way, and that's fear of piracy. I understand that, but I can't help but feel penalized because I'm following the rules. I have many terabytes of porn and not so much as one bit is pirated. But I can't download from this site because I'm not trustworthy.
I will acknowledge, however, that it must be frustrating for webmatsers to see their material pirated and posted for sharing.

They usually don't lower the price but they pair the membership with another site. The offer I joined under this time gave me a Nubile membership too. Beware! As a fan of extreme anal stuff I joined this site without having any information to rely on from TBP or PU. I wouldn't have joined if I knew it was streaming only so it looks like I've learned a $30 lesson. Bottom Line:
ALS Scan is a site that I shouldn’t like because I generally have little interest in solo girl, masturbation scenes and girl-girl scenes. But even though that’s all that ALS Scan offers, the site is certainly in my top-five favourite sites and a site that I go back to regularly.
I won’t go into a lot of detail about the technical specs of the site because those have been addressed before by me and others in earlier reviews. The site continues to offer HD video in both MP4 and WMV. I didn’t bother to comment on that in a previous review because I didn’t realize how rare that is. Due to size restrictions, many sites only offer HD in MP4 format and leave those of us who still prefer WMV to live with a lower-resolution file or go with MP4. This would appear to show the level of customer support that the site has if they take this extra step to keep a few of us happy.
I’ve said before that for me to really like a site it has to excel at three things: 1) the content has to be good, 2) the site design needs to be effective and user-friendly, and 3) the material needs to be easily accessed by the members either by streaming or download. A lot of sites score high on two of those, but few score high on all three of those. ALS is one of the sites that does well on all three. They certainly knock two of them out of the park and do better than average on another.
First the content: like any site, if you don’t like the content you’re not going to like the site regardless of how great the technical aspects are. In this respect prospective members really need to know that ALS Scan isn’t a ‘normal’ porn site. There is no hardcore b/g here at all. There’s no b/g stuff period. There is mostly solo and g/g material. If you’re not into that, the site might seem a bit dull, but they add some unique character by having lots of behind-the-scenes stuff too. I call it BTS, but only because I can’t think of a better term for it. Some people don’t like this, but some like me do, and that’s having the camera rolling during a photo shoot. I’m not sure why I like it, but I do and this stuff is very well done. ALS Scan may be best known, however, for their location shoots in the Caribbean, which seem to occur annually. These are a lot of fun to watch and take place at a villa and on the beach. For a site that shoots so much outdoor material the production values are incredible. These guys have the technical aspects of lighting, sound, camerawork and editing down solid. They should teach others these skills. The site offers hundreds, perhaps thousands of exclusive videos and all of them have a unique and personal feel to them. It’s like the staff are making porn that they like with no concerns about commercial value – except that what they make is so good it has exceptional value.
In terms of content, one thing that hasn’t been posted in several years and I really wish they’d shoot more of is European public nudity and body painting. I’m a big fan of this stuff and when the staff at ALS Scan did it they applied their usual high standards and made some of the best public nudity scenes available on the ‘net. (So if an ALS Scan staffer happens to read this, please, please, please shoot more public nudity!)
As for site design, it can be best described as ‘primitive.’ But while that might be a problem for many other sites it really isn’t here. Given the narrow focus of the site having a search function really wouldn’t add a lot of value. As it is, you can sort for photos or videos and you can sort by model. Beyond that not much is really needed. I think a fair contrast with the site design here might be to Videobox which had a simple, effective and plain-looking site. Then the marketers decided to make it look pretty to attract new members but in doing so they made it less user-friendly. The ALS Scan site probably looks like it did way back when they started, and since it works I hope they don’t see the need to make the site flashier at the expense of utility.
As for accessibility the site scores high here too. Downloads are fast, the site allows download managers, there appears to be no timeouts on downloads and there are no download limits. It seems that the site owners sat down and thought what they’d like if they were the customer and then did it.
Another rare attribute is that the site caters to both photo and video collectors. They offer high quality regardless of what you’re looking for. I’m not normally a photo collector, but this is one site that I make an exception. The photo quality is incredible.
Obviously I highly recommend ALS Scan, with the caveat on content. Even if you really have limited interest in the stuff they offer I’d still recommend giving them a try. The content is playful, personal and erotic thanks to the models and staff and the site lets you access it easily. That makes the site an excellent value.
